One of the better spots to get sopes from a Mexican restaurant. The sope shells were soft and tasty, though the overall flavor was average since the meat could have used a bit more seasoning. I haven't tried other items on the menu yet, but it's still a solid option, especially because sope shells can easily come out hard or stale unless they're made in-house.

Tacos are good but they are small and overpriced. The service is good and the restaurant is clean.

Great food, always tasty and consistent. Staff is okay, not very friendly and very stingy with the salsa, carrots, lemons and cucumbers. They ration them out instead of having a self serve salsa bar. Cash only but they have an ATM in restaurant. Be careful when in parking lot, tends to be a lot of homeless and panhandlers. Again, food is tasty so I'm willing to deal with all the negatives.

Great food. Great restaurant!! For good Mexican food please visit this spot. CASH ONLY. Self-serving restaurant with lots of seating! The cashier was nice & made sure to put extra chips in the bag for us! Now for the food: Tacos de papa 10/10: great tasting & wasn't too lumpy or dry, the condiments were great on top & the salsa on the side is the best Wet burrito 10/10: HUGE burrito they even have an option for a 6foot burrito!! Totally worth the money & great for leftovers! I'm telling you, if there's an office party & you cater from this place, everyone would love you! Great authentic tasting Mexican food

We came for the burritos and were disappointed. We ordered one asada burrito, one bean and cheese burrito, one kids chicken nugget meal with fries, and two drinks. The meat on the ASADA burrito was subpar. The bean and cheese was ordinary. The kids menu chicken nuggets tasted like cardboard. The inside of the restaurant had several flies ( moscas ). The AC vent is full of VISIBLE dirt (see picture). To top it all off; it's a CASH ONLY restaurant. The service girls were nice and the food came quickly. Please do better. I have lived here and this was my family favorite dinner ever. I came in after trying to call 4x in row. Repeatedly put on held for long times then hung up on. Very rude. I approached the counter to order very rude looking cashiers no smile no friendly attitude. I used to love the older lady who was here for years. She was always kind. My kids are adults now but they used to love it. Without the salsa bar and pico de gallo it's not the same! Service was not good.

    Good price for great foods

This kind of Mexican restaurant is right up my alley. Great food, stiff drinks, excellent service, and lively atmosphere. Oh, and plenty of chips and salsa!! I had the two tacos combination platter (one beef, one chicken) w/ a skinny jalapeño margarita. Along w/ guacamole to accompany the chips and salsa for the table - this meal was incredible. I could've walked out and gotten hit by a bus and would've been happy that this was my last meal. We were seated upstairs and it was a little more intimate and cozy w/ low ceilings (look out tall people!). Service was so on point, we never had to rubberneck once, the servers were always present without being overbearing. Not sure if there is dedicated parking for the restaurant, but there was plenty of street parking during Sunday afternoon. I think I found my new favorite Mexican spot in the Covina/Azusa area!!

There's a private parking lot with plenty of parking. Her entire team dined together. The team ended up taking up the patio area. When you walk in, turn right. You must order at the register before taking a seat. Pricing is reasonable. Food is decent. The guac could use some salt. The chips could use less salt. My sister and I each ordered the enchilada plate served with beans and rice. She ordered chicken and I ordered beef. We both got red sauce and a side of guac to share. After ordering, you pick up your chips, guac, and drink. Then sit somewhere and they'll bring you your food. The food was good. However, I was disappointed that it only came with one enchilada. It was alright, but doesn't taste authentic. I really wanted tacos, but I saw on Yelp their tacos are not authentic. They're served in a fried tortilla which is very American. Would I return? Sure. Decent food. Decent price. But it won't blow your mind.

After waiting another 20 minutes for the missing items, I decided to ask for a full refund instead. Hopefully this was just a one-off issue.

Service: 5 out of 5 their employees are very pleasant and professional. They gladly answer all your foodie ingredient questions. They are more than accommodating. You will see, they are genuinely nice. As far as the ambience goes, for certain a stro g 4 out of 5. Nothing can be more comforting than to sit back and relax here. They have hi tables woth stools, as well as the hybrid style booth/table combo. Fans are always circulating and it is definitely not too stuffy. They do have music playing in the background, but it is not too loud like many places do. We have been back to try new and different dishes....all have been very tasty. A smaller and cozy place to have a nice meal. I can tell they cater to the local college students and offer a student discount. ***Hidden Bonus: their café de la olla is DELICIOUS! You can twll they make it fresh regularly and do not let it sit. It is by far waaaaay nicer than what they serve anywhere in the area. We would drive to get a nice cup in Monrovia, but this café de la olla beats it hands down. It is NOT bitter, nor is it over sweetened! So.etimes we swing by for a To-good cup. You can tell they're homemade. The cashier was nice when taking our order. The menudo had good flavor but we didn't care for the hominy since we're not use to eating it with menudo, only with pozole. The meat was cut in tiny pieces. We also had the chilaquilicious chilaquiles which consisted of the chilaquiles with carne asada, bacon and eggs. 1/2 salsa roja and 1/2 salsa verde. The portion was good, however the green salsa can use more flavor. It seemed plain. The red one was better for my taste, it had a Smokey chipotle flavor. Not hot at all. The carne asada could use more salt or seasoning too, seemed a little plain. We tried their salsa macha (chili oil) omg soooo goood and the perfect amount of spiciness. We took home what we didn't finish. I hate wasting something so delicious. Overall a solid 4.
