Sope de Asada & El Pastor

One of the better spots to get sopes from a Mexican restaurant. The sope shells were soft and tasty, though the overall flavor was average since the meat could have used a bit more seasoning. I haven't tried other items on the menu yet, but it's still a solid option, especially because sope shells can easily come out hard or stale unless they're made in-house.

Great food, always tasty and consistent. Staff is okay, not very friendly and very stingy with the salsa, carrots, lemons and cucumbers. They ration them out instead of having a self serve salsa bar. Cash only but they have an ATM in restaurant. Be careful when in parking lot, tends to be a lot of homeless and panhandlers. Again, food is tasty so I'm willing to deal with all the negatives.

Tacos are good but they are small and overpriced. The service is good and the restaurant is clean.

Great food. Great restaurant!! For good Mexican food please visit this spot. CASH ONLY. Self-serving restaurant with lots of seating! The cashier was nice & made sure to put extra chips in the bag for us! Now for the food: Tacos de papa 10/10: great tasting & wasn't too lumpy or dry, the condiments were great on top & the salsa on the side is the best Wet burrito 10/10: HUGE burrito they even have an option for a 6foot burrito!! Totally worth the money & great for leftovers! I'm telling you, if there's an office party & you cater from this place, everyone would love you! Great authentic tasting Mexican food

We came for the burritos and were disappointed. We ordered one asada burrito, one bean and cheese burrito, one kids chicken nugget meal with fries, and two drinks. The meat on the ASADA burrito was subpar. The bean and cheese was ordinary. The kids menu chicken nuggets tasted like cardboard. The inside of the restaurant had several flies ( moscas ). The AC vent is full of VISIBLE dirt (see picture). To top it all off; it's a CASH ONLY restaurant. The service girls were nice and the food came quickly. Please do better. I have lived here and this was my family favorite dinner ever. I came in after trying to call 4x in row. Repeatedly put on held for long times then hung up on. Very rude. I approached the counter to order very rude looking cashiers no smile no friendly attitude. I used to love the older lady who was here for years. She was always kind. My kids are adults now but they used to love it. Without the salsa bar and pico de gallo it's not the same! Service was not good.

    Good price for great foods

Such great "street tacos" & So much more! Our favorite taco joint in the area (there are many others, not as good)They have great burritos and chimichangas ---pastor or Asada are our favorite meat choices ! The house salsa on the pastor is so smoky & unique.I really like the ceviche tostadas ! Always fresh and nicely chilled ! You get a heaping pile on a delicious thick corn tostada with chips ! Also their BIRRIA is Rico & available every day . Love their pina & horchata too !

I also don't appreciate the poor attitude that two of the bartenders have been displaying lately. They have favorites and it shows a lot. I understand that when it's time to close it's time to close and go. But if you're serving other people and treating those same people nicer because they're your favorites, well that's not cool. In the end we're all patrons. We all support when consuming. But above all, it's the poor attitude that I will never pay for. I used to like coming here often. I probably will never again. I also know that occasionally in the bar they overcharge for cocktails thinking customers will not notice because they've been drinking and bartenders refuse to adjust the check. This is terrible and now you know.

Service: 5 out of 5 their employees are very pleasant and professional. They gladly answer all your foodie ingredient questions. They are more than accommodating. You will see, they are genuinely nice. As far as the ambience goes, for certain a stro g 4 out of 5. Nothing can be more comforting than to sit back and relax here. They have hi tables woth stools, as well as the hybrid style booth/table combo. Fans are always circulating and it is definitely not too stuffy. They do have music playing in the background, but it is not too loud like many places do. We have been back to try new and different dishes....all have been very tasty. A smaller and cozy place to have a nice meal. I can tell they cater to the local college students and offer a student discount. ***Hidden Bonus: their café de la olla is DELICIOUS! You can twll they make it fresh regularly and do not let it sit. It is by far waaaaay nicer than what they serve anywhere in the area. We would drive to get a nice cup in Monrovia, but this café de la olla beats it hands down. It is NOT bitter, nor is it over sweetened! So.etimes we swing by for a To-good cup. We recommend this place for everything: nice food served with a friendly smile.

I got the breakfast burrito, and it was really good with the sauce. I liked the bacon in it, and it was huge. But without the sauce, it tasted pretty plain, just like a regular burrito with eggs. Of course, I ordered the chilaquiles, but I was disappointed. I specifically wanted dry chilaquiles, and that's what | ordered. I know the sauce usually makes the tortilla chips soft, but these were really wet and soggy. It honestly felt like it had been sitting out for a while because the food wasn't hot. The flavor was good, but I'm not a fan of soft or too soggy chips. Also, they thought our order was for dine-in, so they gave us chips. When we told them it was to-go, they took the chips back. I was hoping they would still give us chip takeout, but they didn't, which was really disappointing. Cmon you already put it on our table and we told them it's to go they took it right away.

There are two Fridays left if you want to partake in the seasonal dishes offered during this time, please bookmark this restaurant. We ordered the two Specials of the Day (Fri., 3/28/25): 1. Tortitas de Camaron con Mole with Nopales and Roasted potatoes (ground breaded Shrimp into small Patties with cactus) $15, served with thick handmade corn tortillas. 2. Capirotada (bread pudding with peanuts & raisins in syrup) $10. We also had Enchiladas in Poblano Mole. Each entree included a cup of Fideo soup, a side of rice and beans. I could not resist the Cafe de Olla (Mexican coffee brewed with a cinnamon stick), this was served with two cookies in a ceramic mug. This is how you would be served in someone's home. I was stunned when they brought it to me. The food was authentic, delicious, good portions. You will love how the food is plated and presented in ceramic dishes (pottery). We didn't finish and brought the rest home for dinner. I literally was transported back to my childhood, when my grandmother would cook these two same dishes during Lent. The hospitality, decor and service makes you feel like you're home. The food restrictions is part if a religious tradition, but anyone can eat these foods. Carne en su juego had a great tasting salsa. Sopes had a nice crunchiness to them. Chile relleno was very good and juicy. The enchiladas were all very good. One of the things I've enjoyed are tbe hand made tortillas, it's hard to find now a days. They have aguas frescas and it's actually fresh so they may only have one or two each day. Cafe de Olla was good, sweet but I like it (sweet tooth in me) and comes with a cookie. The baño aka restroom also has a changing table (yes no changing the baby on my lap!).
