First the restaurant was immaculate which is extremely important to me. Unfortunately we arrived minutes after they opened, and the rotisserie chicken I wanted was not ready. With disappointment I ordered the Pollo Milanesa. Boy, was I happy with my second choice! The milanesa came on a bed of fries and was accompanied by white rice. I don't know how they managed to turn such simple ingredients into something so amazing! The lightly breaded butterflied chicken breast was moist and extremely flavorful. My husband ordered the Saltado de Mariscos and was in seafood heaven! We had to try the desserts and ordered the arroz con leche and the Peruvian version of flan (sorry can't remember what it was called). Wow, both were incredible. I would return for the desserts alone. Prices are extremely reasonable, especially given the quality of the food. We will most definitely be returning. read more

Went here on a Tuesday. Place is clean. We were the only guests there the whole time which had me a little concerned. Food was good but not great. I specifically came here for the Peruvian chicken and rice soup but when we ordered it, we were told they ran out on Sunday . It was now Tuesday! The woman serving us seemed to be bothered every request we had. The music playing was not Peruvian which I had been use to when visiting all other Peruvian restaurants. I love finding mom/pop shops in the area, especially when they're of this quality. Can't really go wrong with any of the dishes here. I've a a few and been satisfied each time. Just remember that if you want the empanadas, you'll have to order them a day in advance. They're all hand made and delish. I prefer the chicken but the beef is pretty good too. Wanted to try this restaurant for a while. Not disappointed at all! The server was sweet and attentive. The rolls she brought us were fresh and hot. The aji sauce was flavorful and a little extra spicy hot. The fried plantains side dish was delicious and perfect. The Lomo Saltado was very tasty and had just the right amount of juice over it. The fries were tender, yet crispy. I'm used to having the fries mixed all together with the meat, red onions and tomatoes, but it's plated separately here. My Mom had heard about this really delicious new find Peruvian restaurant from a friend. Hidden in a very small shopping mall, this gem was found in close proximity to my fave Korean restaurant, Corona Tofu. We have been dying to try it out for a while and finally did last night. We thought it closed at the usual restaurant time of 7 or 8 for a Sunday evening and walked in past 6PM. The server told us they were technically closed, but since they took another family 15 min prior to us coming in, they would still be able to accommodate us. I had been craving for some good ol' Lomo Saltado for quite a while and immediately knew what I wanted. To drink of course when eating Peruvian, you absolutely need to wash that yummy goodness down with an equally scrumptious libation. So I ordered that Yellow goodness, Inca Kola. Our sweet server was quite friendly as we asked her many questions of how long they've been open and what dishes in her opinion are the best sellers and the yummiest. She couldn't rave enough about practically the whole menu, from their freshly made to order chicken to their empanadas. As we received our fresh rolls and began to eat, our server explained to us about it being a family owned establishment and Sundays, they closed a bit earlier for "Family Day." Quite commendable in my eyes and yet they stayed to fill our tummies with deliciousness. Our order came out soon after and that Lomo Saltado aroma made my mouth water as I was anticipating the initial bite. The beef was tender and sliced thin with lots of red onions and tomatoes. Each bite combined with the crispy French Fried potatoes had my senses in a whirl. Ou server asked if I needed Ketchup for my fries. The way I determine if a dish is good is if it's delicious on its own without added condiments. Lol must be the French in me. Hehe I love eating the fries when it's soaked in the sauce of the Lomo Saltado. Yum! And don't get me started on the perfectly sweet Plantains. Each bite sent my taste buds to heaven. I'm a Peruvian food junkie and will drive far to get good Peruvian food because GOOD Peruvian food is hard to find. Here's the break down: 1. The food is authentic and very tasty. 2. Their Aji is the best that I've ever had. 3. Carlos is very friendly and goes out of his way to make sure that you have a pleasant experience. 4. The CEVICHE! Their ceviche is spot on delicious. It's the right balance of seafood and lime juice with the perfect texture. I recommend that you get an order as an appetizer and share it if you're there as a couple. You will not be disappointed. Advice. Go to Google Maps before you drive there to see where they're located and then you'll know where to turn in as they are in the back of a strip mall that isn't really prominently easy to identify from 6th street. The only downside is that the menu needs more selections. They did a great job coming up with traditional Peruvian dishes such as the Jalea, Befstec a lo pobre, Aji de Gallina, etc. Some of the traditional seafood dishes that I see at other Peruvian places and even the traditional lomo saltado are not on the menu. I have been to this location about 4 times now and have had great experiences every single time. All the dishes taste spectacular and they give you a large amount of food. We never have room for desert but maybe one day we will try it. The only thing I did not like was the actual flavor of the marinated rotisserie chicken. It was a little mild in my opinion but it is just a personal preference. I still finished it and have ordered it more than once. It's not an easy item to have on the menu because it's very popular and due to how it's prepared and made, it can run out so make sure to call and check to make sure your favorite dish is available. I love how it's so close to home and I no longer have to travel to OC or LA to get this great flavor. Thumbs up for this place for sure! read more

I just had one of the most delicious meals of my life here. It's in the top ten, for sure. My meal wasn't fancy or complicated. It was really, really good homecooking. I ordered a chicken breast cooked with tomatoes, onions, and wine. Wonderful flavors. Perfectly cooked chicken. Simple, but made with care. And, when I was eating it, I felt cared for in a way, kind of like when my mom would cook for me. Never really had that experience before in a restaurant, that emotional connection. It was so nice.
