I ordered 3 avocado, chicken burritos got so much pico salsa that none of us ate them. Tried to call. No one answered the phone. Finally got a manager the next day. She told me to drive the burritos in. I told her, I threw them away. She told me to dig them out of the trash and bring in. My husband 72, my self 69. Told to get them out of the dumpster. Thats crazy. Figured there food was not EVER worth this night mare. Noticed they have a 2.6 rating. I now wonder how they rate at all. I will tell everyone. read more

Very disapointed, we order a family feast 16 pieces mixed for go. Chicken was good, but the portion of the rice and Mash potatoes was less then a cup,not even enough for 2 persons, salad was good but the person whom serve the dressing didn't close the lid correctly and make a mess in the bag, so we miss the cilantro dressing. This restaurant is in a good part of town and the employees were polite, friendly, and attentive so we decided to dine in. We chose an 8 piece meal with beans, rice, and corn tortillas. All of the food tasted fresh and homemade including the salsa. It is not overly seasoned so you may want to add your own. I was a little disappointed that the chicken pieces were a little small but there is a chicken shortage right now. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. This restaurant is the worst I've ever been to. The employees are not capable of doing their job correctly. They should all be sent to sit behind the counter at a gas station. Maybe they can at least run the register and scan items if they're not capable of giving the correct orders. I came here when I first moved to Apple Valley about 6-8 months ago. They messed up my order and literally gave me the opposite of everything I ordered. I paid almost $20 for the meal I ordered but got about $11 worth of food because it was the wrong order. I swore I would never go back. I wish I'd listened to my gut and didn't go back but I made the mistake of going back tonight. I ordered a very simple three-piece white meat, breast and wing, meal with corn for the sides and corn tortillas. I got two thighs and a drumstick and flour tortillas. Are you f'n kidding me? I swear now I will never go back to this place again. There are too many other options a mile away or less. This place is the absolute worst! read more

I love this place. I'm able to get in and out during my 30 minute lunch every time I come with time to spare. After COVID shut down the lobby, they got their drive through game down to a science. Don't worry if you see a long line when you drive up. You'll be in and out fast. If you have time to sit down inside, you can wait for an "extra grill" on your burrito and take it to another dimension. This is one of the few restaurants that still offers lemon for your iced tea... unlike other places we will not mention here (cough, cough, McDonalds). Bonus comment: the chips have been amazing for quite a while now. I have not received a bad batch in ages and almost a year ago now, they made the bag for side item chips larger. We had seen El Pollo Loco in Miami and walked right out since it was so run down but here in Apple Valley all the locations are new, clean an super nice looking. The chicken is grilled right there in front of you and looks amazing! They have a huge salsa bar filled with different salsas, pico, guac, the best jalepenos ever (huge and bright green!), everything is so fresh and tasty! I had the chicken taco salad, the guys some grilled chicken, tacos and burritos, everything was excellent! The service is great, fast, friendly, the prices are fair, great lunch at a more than fair price! read more

I was shocked when I saw some reviews at this El Pollo Loco because me and my children feel very lucky to live very close to this location. Staffs are VERY friendly (they even brings wet tissue, tooth picks some times) and it is very clean most of the times. I use coupon here and they let me reuse coupons. I don't know what not to like about this wonderful place. Our family agreed in dining table that this place is probably THE BEST fast food restaurant in America. It just has good vibe here, not to mention healthy food they serve(considering fast food restaurant) I do understand that this restaurant has some fast employee turnover ratio and that might mess up some order, but I do not know any fast food restaurant with really long term dedicated employees and moreover, El pollo loco operation is a bit more complicated than most of the fast food burger places so that mistakes might happen. But, having said that their mistakes has gone down very much and I never had an issue with mistakes, I tell them, they correct the mistakes, I am HAPPY. HAPPY CHICKEN~~ everyone! read more

I come here all of the time because it's convenient, and usually the food is decent and given to us fast. However the customer service is the absolute worst. I have had more negative experiences with the staff here, than good ones. I understand wanting to get food out and keep your line moving quickly but the girl working drive thru tonight snatched the money out of my hand not even stopping to see I had the change and then snatched that out of my hand when I told her.
