Came by to pick up dinner, spent $20 or $30 and was asked how many salsas I would like, when I told the woman how many salsas and asked for serrano peppers she replied with, "I'll see what I can do" when we got to the window she gave us salsa but said "I can't find serranos anywhere they are hidden, sorry" it was blatantly obvious she didn't like the amount of salsa I had asked for so she decided I wasn't getting serranos. The meal isn't the same without the peppers and is half the reason I go. Will just be taking my business to Bear Valley/Apple Valley location. It's not the cheapest food and the salsa and peppers cost them nothing compared to what I'm paying. He/she cares nothing about the customer, only his stores' bottom line. (remember, they get a larger Christmas bonus for purchasing less - hence, the leftovers!). NEVER coming back to this location. My husband and I visited because we needed to eat quick and get back to our baby in the hospital. They only had the drive thru open (okay, worked for us anyway, but why is your dining room closed?), my ice tea tastes horribly bitter, their credit card machine isn't working so they had to take my husband's card manually, and once I started getting into my tostada salad, I found a sticker!!! The food is good and it got to us quick. My problem with the place is this. It is small restaurant and seems a little confined. The salsa bar is tiny and two people that have no cares and only have one pace can have you waiting forever! There is only one side to theirs because the other side is behind the counter. The manager asked if she could help me get salsas from the other side which was impressive but it would been much more impressive if her employee actually followed through with his manager asking him to assist me. Another problem is the parking lot is tight. Difficult to maneuver through. I went to this El Pollo Loco today. The parking lot in the handicapped space was a big piece of the overhead light fixture, glass. I did not see it when pulling in and it smashed.
