The service here is bad, the place is dirty, they are out of all the advertised items and a 30min wait for chicken on the bone. Probably the worst location I've ever been to. My order was completely burnt, everything except the mashed potatoes. I don't know how this small broccoli even made it out of the kitchen, then again the cook was doing everything but his job and the rest of the staff seemed disorganized and confused. Said 5 minutes for my order and after 5 minutes said another 5 minutes. Guacamole was just chunks of avocado which is whatever I guess, just don't say guacamole if that's not what it is. I love Pollo Loco and many of their dishes fit my diet but unfortunately I find myself having to sort thru different options because this particular unit never just never fails to disappoint (or maybe is the time of day I am not sure) however this store is in urgent need upper management to be guide, coach and training all around. Most people view me as passive so I thought maybe If I directly seek for management and explain? it doesn't work, very rude and not open to dialog, they simply don't care. I contacted their help center as my last order was a quite large for the entire office and half the chicken was old and not edible (to hard and saggy in the inside) -not cool. I once pulled up to the window and said "may I please have like fresh kitchen?" she said to me "if you want fresh kitchen you're gonna have to wait 40 min or more. So there. I ordered food at 15:30 today on their app. The app says it needs more than 60 mins for me to pick up. So I selected time 1645 to pick up. I went drive thru, the lady there told me that the app was a third party thing and she was not able to process my order right away. I told her that I had Waite s'more than a hour for my order. She wanted me to wait another 30-45 mins. And she told me I had to call them to check orders. I asked for their number and she told me to look it up myself. Fine. I drove back home and waited another 45 mins. I called the number I found on their website, the same lady picked up. Healthy, inexpensive and way better than top notch restaurants. I usually don't rate a fast food more than three stars but I can't help but to do it because this place is pretty freaking delicious if you ask me. I've been saying for a year, and I'll stick to my word and Pollo Loco is the only restaurant that serves quick food that sticks to it roots to the closest thing to the real thing of homemade style, "grandma" version of Mexican food. Service is mediocre tho but I don't expect much or ever will from a fast food chain restaurant. As long as the food is prepare well and cooked well that's all that matters. The bowls are the best if your in a rush, the quesadillas are of the hook. The green salsa with avocado taste delicious and is my favorite, add some lime juice and then shout, "Ay mama, ARRIBA." The beans are off the hook, people should know beans straight from the pot are the best, no extra seasonings just add salt with the bean broth and have a nice day. I haven't tried the deserts but not in a rush to try it but willing to try it. I rate this place 4.0 for food read more

We had ordered lunch for our movers. We ordered the 20 piece grilled chicken with three large sides - black beans, pinto beans, and rice. We added an extra side of corn and guacamole. The chicken was definitely the highlight of the meal! So juicy and yummy!! The sides were average. Chips were fresh and delicious. I liked the mild salsa and the verde salsa. Garbage location that doesn't care about customers. The card machine is down about 75% of the time but they don't have a sign telling you that. So once you're in the drive through line, you're stuck waiting for the people in front of you to get their food so you can drive out of there to somewhere else that respects their customers. Then the manager has an attitude when we called him to report the issue again. This is not the first time we're having issues with this spot but it will be the last. Manager said the crew got excited and threw most of the chicken away and that's why there wasn't very much chicken left for the salads. Of all the times I've stopped for dinner, I've NEVER had to ask for salsa. I get home with my order and no salsa. So I call and whoever answered the phone told me I had to specificly request salsa. I ORDERED extra tortillas and salsa. I thought that indicated I wanted salsa Evidently not. She did however "take full responsibility for any misunderstanding" What does that even mean? TWO STARS IS BEING GENEROUS. Ordered through drive thru. Very dirty interior walls at the pick up window, outside stainless steel counter sides layered in crud, cobwebs along the bricks. Service is very slow, waited 15 minutes after placing order with one car ahead of us. Service employees were nice. We asked for a whole fire grilled chicken unchopped. The gal told us they cant sell them whole, they must be chopped. So we ordered the 10 piece Familia Fire Grilled and although it is priced at $20 they charged 25 for Mixed. Ok, clearly put that on the drive thru menu then. Finally the corn torts were crumbly and broke in half easily how old are they? Certainly not fresh! My impression is this is a failing franchise... if they cant keep it clean, or tolerate simple customer requests for whole fire grilled chickens then we will eat at In-n-Out burgers at 1/3rd the costs for a tasty meal where special customer requests are fulfilled with a smile.
