Onions were sweet and caramelized. Bun was soft. The zucchini fries were so good! They were just the right amount of salty, nice and golden color and not soaking in oil. I have eaten at this location three times now, the first visit was great, the second visit was not so great the last visit wasn't too good either. On my first visit I ordered the Pollo Bowl which includes, Chicken, Pinto Beans, Rice, Diced Onions, Cilantro, and Pico de Gallo Salsa. By the time I filled my drink cup and sat down my order was ready. On my second visit things were moving very slow, there was one party in front of me but it took 10 minutes for me to order. I ordered the Tacos Al Carbon Combo which includes Three Tacos, Chips and a Drink. After ordering it took another 30 minutes before my order was ready. It looked like the young lady behind the counter was pulling double duty, she was working as quickly as possible but she was overwhelmed and could have used some help. I was here for about an hour and no one cleaned the tables and the trash receptacles were full with many trays piled on top. When my order was at last ready the manager apologized and said they were short a couple of employees and offered me a free side order. On my last visit there were only a hand full of people in the restaurant and no one was in line. I ordered the Chicken & Chorizo Puffy Shell Taco Combo. Even though I just stated what I wanted the young lady behind the counter said "Puffy Shell Tacos, do you want Chicken Guacamole, Chicken & Chorizo, or Chicken Avocado?" so I repeated Chicken & Chorizo. I asked for the combo but she asked me if I wanted to make it a combo. She must have been thinking of other things, she sure wasn't thinking about taking orders. When I went to take a seat on this third visit I noticed how messy the restaurant was, trash on the floor, tables that needed cleaning, and even flies buzzing about. On my second visit the place was messy too but it had been very crowded and I kind of just blamed it on that but this time there was no excuse for it. I was in the restaurant for about 30 minutes on this last visit and no one at all cleaned anything while I was there. On each visit the food was good, flavorful, and served hot but something is wrong here. I gave them three tries and they failed twice. Went to pollo loco tonight. Bought 3 tostada salads.... found little pieces of plastic/glass In ALL 3 of them. I actually swallowed some and then I realized what it was. This is ridiculous. People working there need to be more careful. This can make someone really sick! And I hope I'm not one of them!
