I ordered an 18 piece meal and an extra 8 pieces of chicken online via my app at about 525pm. I arranged to pick up the order at 6:30 PM. When we got there at 630pm they had barely started putting the order together. It was not busy inside or at the drive thru. The people working at this restaurant are not very nice people and the customer service is very poor. When the lady brought the bags of food to my husband as he stood at the counter, he asked to review the inside of the bags to make sure everything was there that we ordered. The lady said everything was in there and there was no need to open the bag. So, he trusted that she put everything in the bag that we ordered. We drove 25 minutes home and when we opened the sealed bags, there was only salad, chicken, tortillas, Utensils and salsas. The two Large sides of rice and the large pinto beans that we ordered and paid for online via my app were not in the bags. The salad was in a separate bag. I called and wanted to speak to the manager and the lady that answered the phone said she was the manager in charge, said there was nothing she could do about it and could not refund me for their error. I spent $55 on tasteless chicken, tortillas, a wilted salad, and a bunch of little containers of salsa. Extremely disappointing. I go to many El Pollo Locos in Arizona and every one of them has fantastic service and the quality the food is incredible. Just wanted to give a rundown on how sad my chicken bowl was here. I've had more chicken in a taco I've had more chicken in a free sample walking though the mall. I've had more chicken in a salad that had no chicken. I was just as full as not eating it at all and I would have saved $5 A glass of water has more chicken than my chicken bowl. Get the idea? I like the food really good but what really sucks is there so stingy with there habanero sauce they give you 2 little habanero sauce when I say little is little not even filled up all the way and you ask for more and they give you 1 or 2 more a 16 pc. I wish I could give a lower rating. I was double charged 2x, I ordered the 16pc meal with sides and the next day I was checking my banking and I saw that I was charged 2x. I took my receipt and showed my online banking app showing the double charge and Lisa the manager told me I needed a bank statement to show that I was actually charged 2x even though I showed my online banking and had my original receipt! Lisa was totally rude and I will never eat at this location again. So unprofessional and insinuating that my bank just double charges my account. I have been a Pollo Loco customer for years and I love your chicken and other stuff. I also have an app account with Pollo Loco. Today I went to the San Jacinto CA Pollo Loco to get 14 piece family meal for my family and I wanted to use the 5 tamale offer on the app, since today was the last day for the offer. The person on the drive thru gave me a hassle and didn't want to honor the offer. She argued with me, I told her that the app said it was free with ANY family meal. I was ordering a 14 piece!! I told her, "forget it I'll go to the Hemet Pollo Loco across town!". I got to the Hemet store. They honored the app offer and gave me excellent service and the chicken and tamales were wonderful!! I don't know what was going on at the San Jacinto El Pollo Loco but the person wasted my time and gave me un-warranted aggravation. I have a choice of El Pollo Loco, KFC or Popeye all with in the same block and could of went to any of them, but the Hemet El Pollo did the right thing. I rarely ever come here. This is actually my first time here this yr. Ordered the family meal. The current special for it is a good deal. However, the drive thru has no lighting so you can't see the menu, and the speakers were muffled so I couldn't understand anything without it being repeated and me saying "excuse me" I eyeballed my order to make sure it was all correct and it was. Even was given more tortillas then allowed :), I ordered corn as a side and when I got home the corn was lukewarm. But please check your food. I only live no more than 3-5 min away so there was no excuse. If it wasn't for the rain I would have DEFINATELY went back and asked for a different side. The staff needs to check all food. I used to work in the food service so I know that they need to check during certain times on their food and when to trash it, etc. please make sure your staff adheres to that. This is the 2 nd time, I've experienced the same problem with this place. I always order the same thing because I ENJOY it. I was very disappointed with my visit tonight, first off the young lady who took our order seemed as though we were bothering her she was speeding up our order which if I were older I would have been very mad, I think she needs more training when taking orders this frustrates the customer. I talked with the manager or person in charge and she refused to give me a taco. Her reasoning was bc I had to order food. I showed her my receipt but apparently that was not good enough. I probably would of never went to that restaurant but I wanted to get a taco and try it out. At the end of my visit, I never got my taco and I will never go back. I also called corporate. I have visited three times between 5:00 pm -6:00 pm in 1 week and each time they are out of their krispy chicken tacos. The first time they said the deep fryer wasn't working; second visit they sold out at lunch time; the third time they were not going to make anymore. My last visit I ordered their double chicken avocado salad and no avocado. So I drive back and inform them of their error. At this point I decided to order their shrimp and mango platter in place of the avocado salad and guess what......no shrimp and mango tacos are available. So they make a fresh avocado chicken salad for me and I get home to have my dinner but the salad is not even edible.....wilted lettuce and horrible tasting chicken. Came in three weeks ago and tried the avocado chicken burrito. It was surprisingly delicious. I've been using the El Pollo Loco Rewards app and occasionally they send me buy-one-get-one offers. Makes it really affordable! They have a whole new menu now not so much geared towards chicken only entrees. I was surprised to see they had so many different kinds of burritos and bowls. I'm going to go back and try their chicken bowl it looked pretty good as well. I go through the drive through, and first the guy taking the order asks for me to repeat myself because he can't hear me. Never a please or anything. So the order is repeated 3 more times and still, it is not taken correctly. Still without any please or an apology I'm ask to pull forward to the window because "there's a communication error." Already annoyed I pull forward and the manager is at the window repeats the order back, and and collects the money. So she heard the order, what was wrong with the original guy taking the order? She then comes back and tells us we have to wait 15 minutes for the chicken to cook. But then the cooks tell her that they have the chicken. So I pull forward and wait in the lot for my order. The guy that originally tried to take my order brings my food out. Now before I left the window I was asked if I wanted salsa. I said yes the red and the green. But, when b the food comes out there is no salsa. I say say something about it, and this little boy gets an attitude again and tells me its in the salsa bar and I can go in and get it. I said we told you guys we wanted red and green. So, still with the attutude he goes in and comes right back out with the salsa and says "nobody told me." By this time I'm disgusted and dont even want to deal with the fact I did not get a receipt. I am so dissatisfied with the service and the flour tortillas were hard. I stopped by on my way home from my daughter's volleyball practice, to pick up some chicken for dinner. The drive thru line had about 7 cars in line, so I decided to go inside and place my order. Upon entering the restaurant I stood behind two customers. One appeared to be in the middle of ordering or perhaps picking up an order, and two employees were helping her. At one point all front end employees disappeared and were assisting in the food prep area, leaving the gentleman and myself waiting to acknowledge and helped. After 6mins of waiting, and noticing that all of the cars that had been in the drive thru line were now gone, the gentleman in front of me finally placed his order. After 8mins of standing in line, I was finally helped, only to find out that I would have to wait 15mins for legs and thighs. The shift leader claimed that the family meal that I was getting was a promotion and that they were selling out of chicken faster than they could make it. I questioned her about the family meal being a promotion and she quickly told me that it was a $10 ten piece bucket that was a promotion. Now being 10mins standing in line and seeing at least 10 cars go through the drive thru I asked how much more the mixed meal would be. She told me $3 more, so I asked how long that one would be. Both she and the cook got an attitude with me, so I asked what they could provide me with for the same cost of the family meal, seeing as I would have to wait for legs and thighs. I got told that there was nothing, that I would have to pay the extra money for the breasts and wings. I asked for the managers name. The shift manager claimed to be the manager. I pointed out that she was simply the shift manager and not the restaurant manager and asked again for a number and name for the manager. She started to dig around for a receipt in a pile of trash behind the register and then told me that this situation didn't warrant her to provide the store manager's name or number. Then she offered me 10% off my meal. When I asked for the name and number one more time she decided to offer me the same discount that an employee gets, which was $7 off of my meal. In the background I was getting nasty looks from the cook, as he slammed things around. I ended up waiting nearly 15mins from the time I entered the restaurant, to the time I left. At least a dozen cars went through the drive thru. The employees need to learn that being friendly to customers goes a long way. Not one single employee acknowledged any customers until it was time to take their order. Perhaps if one of them had greeted me upon my walking in and standing in line, and mentioned that they would be with me as soon as possible, and then apologized for taking nearly 10mins to take two orders, I wouldn't have been so upset. The only reason I am giving this place a 2 star and not a 1 star is because the shift manager did offer compensation... but it wasn't until I got angry that she refused to provide a manager's name and number. read more

I placed a mobile order this evening, once I got to the location to pick up my order I didn't get greeted by the employee , she came with an attitude and basically shoved my order through my window! She had a really bad attitude. Usually I check and make sure everything is in the bag but with a crying hungry toddler I trusted that all of my order was in the bag. I was wrong, by the time I got home to my surprise I was missing one of my orders! I began to call the location and no one answered, I tried calling multiple times and still no answer! I sent my husband since he had just got off work and the employee with an attitude kept telling the manager that she gave me my complete order! I sent photos of what I received!
