Since moving to this side of town (I usually frequent the el pollo on 79) I've been disappointed every time. They are always out of chicken or the food is cold! There is a worker on the evenings, who seems to be in charge, and is an obnoxious jerk, who will lose a lot of customers for this franchise owner. If they pay attention to these reviews, maybe they will do something about it. The employee is female (I think,or a trans man, I don't want to misgender) who is short, overweight, white, has a man's haircut, and rude. Literally TODAY, my husband picked up an on-line order for a 16 piece family meal with 3 Large sides & a large order of chips. I do not usually order from this particular location as we live closer to the Temecula Parkway restaurant. Since my husband was out running errands in that part of town, I decided to order from this location. SO, the confirmation stated a 15 minute wait. It was like over 30 minutes which isn't my complaint...as we understand that things happen and we aren't impatient. Luckily we had no time constraints today. When my husband asked politely for some salsa, the guy working there schools my husband on how he needed to request the salsa when we place our order. REALLY?! All the guy had to do was give him the dang salsa and move on. After waiting WAY past the confirmed pick up time, the guy is going to pontificate about how my husband needed to request salsa when placing the order?? I saw no where on the order page where it gave me the salsa option. It gave me other options, like utensils, which they did fulfill. When my husband finally got home, I opened the bag and noticed how SMALL the LARGE sides were...16 pieces of chicken and sides for about 2 people MAYBE 3 small eaters? To make matters even more interesting, they gave me 2 tiny containers of cole slaw instead of a Large. No way, no how, does two of those little containers make a Large. I measured it. There was about 2 rounded tablespoons of slaw in each. The beans were mostly liquid. There was 2 very small bags of chips, maybe like 5 chips in each bag if that. I don't chose the tortillas because Pollo Loco uses the nastiest corn tortillas ever! Pasty, white discs of disappointment. Ugh. MY BIGGEST NEGATIVE OBSERVATION...ONLY 15, count, FIFTEEN PIECES OF CHICKEN!!! WTF?!?! Now THAT was by far the biggest F'U ever!! I absolutely get a dang laugh when I compare MY meal, to what is shown on their website. POLLO LOCO, you have some pieces tossed into my container, which is not recognizable as mainstreamed pieces of chicken, AS SHOWN on your site. What the heck?!? LOL! Some of these pieces are regular normal cuts of chicken, but cut IN HALF. What a rip off!! I want my chicken to look exactly as shown on your website. Not these creepy weird cuts...come on. I came here last night with my son and ordered (2) of the breast and wing combo. When I got to the window I was notified that they didn't has the wings, and they asked me if they could replace it with a drumstick. I said sure no problem. When we parked our car to eat, the breast was completely dry and the drumstick smelled like girls hand cream and tasted of soap! The Diet Coke I ordered also tasted more like a chemical than a soda! Needless to say, I threw it away. It seems this location has many issues, I mean if my chicken is tasting like soap.....somebody's not washing there hands properly . TOTAL FAILURE: Today is National Burrito Day, something I assume the management knew. First thing was when I ordered taqitos and guacamole they said they were out. Then when I scanned my buy one get one coupon instead of taking $6.39 off my bill it only took off $3.19. I had to point this out and wait 5 minutes for my refund. That didn't really matter because i waited almost 30 for my food. It was taking forever for mist people, but in my case, they apparently lost my order, because when I pointed out the lady who complained and finally got her food had the exact same order as me, and ordered AFTER me, they seemed to finally get me my food. Which I ordered to eat in the storr but they gave me to go. During my wait I watched several people ask for green salsa only to be told "we're out". When one man said, " No, I see it right there" Eddie the manager told him, "That's only for the drive through" and refused to give him any. 2 minutes later i watched Eddie put 5 cups of green salsa in a bag and give it to someone. Was he a friend? A big tipper? Who knows. They screwed it up from beginning to end. A total failure THE FAILURE CONTINUES! It's not the BEST food but it's far from the worst, to be sure. You can do A LOT worse when it comes to fast food. We usually grab a family meal when we're feeling lazy and I really like the spicy corn side they offer. Their facilities were clean and the staff quick on the uptake and they seemed to enjoy each others company - and that always makes me smile. Terrible service, lady at the register put a bowl of soup in a huge bag with other sides, not careful of the soup spilling in the bag, I got the bag, checked the soup and it was spilled all over the other sides. Common sense goes a long way. I understand mistakes but this is twice it's happened at this location. I decided to go through the drive-thru today. Oh what a mistake. Drive-thrus' should be fast for convenience, it took over 15 mins to order and another almost 10 mins to pay and receive my food. I was watching the workers, they cannot multitask and work as slow as molasses. Regarding the food, I ordered 1 double chicken salad. It was horrible. The chicken was dry and the portion was so small for $7! I miss the old location on Jefferson, they had amazing customer service and food. I would avoid this location at all cost. read more

This time it took me 30 minutes to get my food. The workers were just standing around and talking among themselves. So I don't know what occurred. Maybe they were waiting for the chicken to cook.
