I definitely love pollo loco. This location in particular is just around the corner, but they always manage to mess up my order. For example if I order a 3 piece ill get a 2 piece but be charged for a 3. Or I'll say no beans and there's beans or even an order of churro but not churro in my meal. Apparently they changed the staff. Not as friendly as before. Waited about 10 minutes in line and no one bother to greed you. Didn't get the correct order when It was ready. Brought back to the staff and they had attitude about it. The counter for salsa was dirty no one clean it. Need a better management running the place and more training with customer service skills. read more

This place is awesome!! From the service to the food, everyone is welcoming and make you feel appreciated. The service is fast they don't make you wait a long time like some other places. I like that I can go during my lunch and still have enough time to go to work eat and chill. I love the chicken tostada salad as well as the $2 tacos. read more

Been to many Pollo Locos in the area and this one is the best this is the second time I'm here and I enjoy it. The workers are nice and they have great customer service. The chicken comes out exactly the way you ordered it and it stays hot for a long time. The service is fast. Next time I feel like eating Pollo Loco, I'm coming to this location for sure. El pollo loco is an amazing place to go eat. I've been eating there for years. This location is close to my neighborhood and very convenient for me to go eat at. Aside from the restaurant itself, I receive excellent customer service here. Alicia is always happy to assist me, and she always keeps a smile on her face. Second time in three months I have a bad experience here. First time I went through the drive thru and after paying they told me to go park my car and wait ten minutes and someone would bring the food out to me because the chicken was not ready. Waited almost half an hour and finally had to go inside to ask for my food, they acted like it was news to them. Good thing I had saved my receipt. Second time was today, I decided to order inside. I got a 12 piece meal with a coupon and paid extra for the mixed. After waiting 5-10 mins the gentleman in front of me and I were called and were told they did not have any white meat and it would take 30 minutes for it to be ready. The gentleman cancelled his order and I decided to get the legs and thigh instead. I asked for the chicken to be well done. They also had to give me some money back but it felt like it was a bit short. They packed the food and I asked if it was well done legs and thighs and they said yes. I get home and lo and behold they gave me a 12 piece mixed but the chicken is undercooked. I did the math twice with the calculator and they would have short changed me $1.27 if the order had been legs and thighs. I used to come to this location because the ones at Sepúlveda/Victory and Reseda/Vanowen have screwed up my orders in the past, but I guess now it is the same incompetent service in every location near me. read more

El Pollo Loco is great because it has the benefits of fast food and the benefits or sit down food all in one. It is quick and it is cheap, like fast food. However, the quality is good an it is also healthier than the average fast food. Their selection is limited, but it is all you need. Just get some chicken and some side dishes. Today my coworker picked up some tacos and brought them to work. I opened them up and I saw chicken not cooked through. I drove to EPL to let them know and to give them the opportunity to make it right. Rosa S., the assistant manager, apologized and gave me new tacos. I expected a little more, but I went back to my car. As I sat down, I thought to myself, what are the odds of me getting pink chicken again. You guessed it. I went back and I politely asked her to look at it. She responded by stating that the thermometer indicated that it was ready to serve. WTH? I felt like she was justifying serving me uncooked chicken. I asked her if she would eat that and she deflected and reverted to the thermometer. She offered me another meal and I told her I was no longer hungry (for El Pollo Loco) and wanted a refund. They needed the receipt and so I went back to the car and retrieved it. I reminded her that my coworker picked up the card. She asked if it was drive through and I told her I didn't know. Then she asked if I had the card! That's when I lost it. I told her to keep the money and I walked out. I called to get her full name. The manager picked up and he was apologetic. He did his best at making a bad situation better, which his assistant manager didn't. It does make me question the customer service training his assistant managers receive. We ended the conversation with him offering me a free meal, which was nice. However, is it really a free meal if I (or actually, my coworker) paid for an uncooked chicken meal and I didn't get a refund? In fact, I paid her back so now I'm out $10 and I had that experience. I Placed an order on the official El pollo loco website to be delivered to my office. I paid for the food and delivery charge as well as a tip. I called the store after waiting for my food way past their estimated arrival time. Natalie was the person who answered the phone. She insisted that the website made a mistake and my food is sitting in the store and they will not deliver it. She said they do not make deliveries for this size orders, even though I received a confirmation email of them delivering it. I asked her nicely to cancel my order and return my money to my credit card. She told me that she can not do that and I have to call the customer service. So I told het we will pick it up. I send one of my employees to drive down and pick up the food. We arrived at the store and the food is not there. So I called the customer service and told them the situation and told them to return the money. They informed me that they can not and will not do that and I need to return the food that was not delivered. read more

This Pollo Loco deserves no rating no stars!!!!!. However, I'm posting my comment so management can do something about it. I've been here several times since this place is near my work and THERE is NOT one time where I can come in happy and get out satisfied about my meal, there is always something missing in my order and sometimes people at the drive-thru are super rude. I've been very patience and I don't usually post reviews because I know the reputation looks bad towards the restaurant but I had enough!! Today not only they took a long time to have my order ready but they gave me the wrong burrito. I ordered a chipotle burrito and instead I got a dried chicken and cabbage burrito/no flavor and no chipotle sauce whatsoever and to top it off I found a disgusting BLACK/THICK/LONG HAIR in it. How disgusting is that??? I truly hope that health department rates them with a C or below. My stomach is so upset after the fact that I literally almost vomited the hair out of my mouth =(.
