I go there at least once a week I am addicted to their Dominican breakfast. And if I get out of work late this is my go to dinner spot.

I dined in about a week ago with some friends and this is Great dominican food. I ordered the mini chicken mofongos that had a flavorable gravy and grilled chicken breast plate. Absolutely delish. We had a good waitress until some other waitress came over with out all the food and confused our orders but other then that the place was fine. I would return again. read more

I did give this place a good review but it's one of those places that so busy it implodes on itself and lately they have just been off the ball.Last time I ate there the lady serving us seemed so uninterested with us and totally was not paying attention to our table. Not enough staff and really long wait time when you eat there and every time I order delivery, despite giving great tips, they ALWAYS forget the salad and beans.This has happened about 3 times now. Lucky for them they deliver quickly and my fish is, most of the time, delicious, but my boyfriend on the other hand gets the sirloin steak and it always comes greasy and full of fat. One time it was just too disgusting to eat. We tried to get him some chicken instead and that was also overcooked and dry. I really want to like this place but I feel like it's just so damn busy all the time that they don't pay attention to detail. I'm a faithful customer who orders alot and they still fucking up my order. Really El Rey? Get it together! I'll be trying another Spanish place. There's gotta be another in East NY! read more

We just used them for a party of 200 people. Everyone wanted to know who cooked the food, because the didn't want to believe that this great food had come from a restaurant. Just ordered take out from this place and this will be my first and last time visiting. Horrible service, none of the females working there cared to take my order. I stood there for 10 minutes until some man took my order. Upon checkout, I asked for the green sauce and was told they're out and only have hot sauce so I said I'll take that, got home to find out that there is no hot sauce in my bag. Probably one of my favorite places to go for Spanish food. The prices are super cheap and the portions are huge. I get an order of arroz con pollo and it's at least two meals for me. Plates I love include, but are not limited to, rotisserie chicken, fried pork chops, grilled pork chops, chicken parm, liver with onions, pernil etc.... the food is delicious and affordable. The food inside el Rey 2 is good don't get me wrong why I am giving them a 3 star because the silverware was dirty I had to ask them for new silverware for me and my whole family they was all dirty and I had to ask for a cup of hot water to put the new silverware inside of it to clean off any dirt on the new silverware and disaffected anything and they have to clean the bathroom it stinks besides that I love they food they cook awesome ooooo and the waitress are a BIT they never check up and they look like they don't like they jobs read more

The pulpo salad could have been a little softer but the flavor was great. A lot of beans places lack bean taste but not El Ray II. The beans were fantastic.
