My husband is a food critic. This is the WORST taqueria spot I have ever been to in Dallas. If I could give 0 stars I would. My family and I went to this place for the first time. We went there because we saw the high reviews. We LOVE Mexican food. We are an African American family and we ordered our food before we got there. Which was was 8 tacos and a burrito. When we got there we decided to eat there because we didn't have anything else to do. We were eating and the tacos were great and even my daughter said the burrito was on point. When my daughter almost finished her burrito, she found a hair in it. We told management and he said he had to come see. When he came over, he looked and said he doesn't see anything. We continued to show him where it was and yet he still said he didn't see anything. Then my husband had to pull if off and put it on a napkin so he could see it. He then said "oh I see it, I'll give you your money back. When my husband went to get the money, the manager says to him "I don't think that was a mistake. I think you put it there." We were so offended and that was so racist!! Really? Why we would do that over a $5 burrito? If you are any other nationality please go elsewhere. Sorry there is no photo. I've been coming here since I was a kid and it's always been the same quality service at the same low price. They have arguable the best tortas in town and their freshly squeezed orange juice is served in massive glass cups that add to the uniqueness of the place. The only downside is the lack of parking. read more

I've been wit my wife to this place twice and both times we leave very satisfied. We've had the coctel d camaron, filete de pescado asado, torts d milanesa, and takitos al pastor, pierna, asada, and barbacoa. We've loved everithin so far. The takitos r awesome. The filete came with rice and fries which my wife wasn't too excited about. Also, the tortillas that comes with the plates r store bought, would be nice if the were home made. Other than that, everything is great. the chips and salsa r good to us. I love varieties of salsas and always look for them on restaurants and both times I have liked their salsas. Great flavor with enough spice to compliment the food. The service is always great. Both times the manager has come to our table and asked if we need anything. The price for the food is unbeatable. We both speak Spanish and I don't know if that makes it easier to get the best out of the place or not but its definitely a great authentic Mexican food restaurant. The parkin is bad but all businesses on the street share the same luck. We will come back and do recommend this place to anyone. read more

We came by around lunch time, I had never been there before but I was willing to give it a shot and I got to say, it was worth it. I got the chicken flautas and they were delicious with the sour cream as well as the rice and beans. The prices are very affordable too. That relatively larger plate was only 5.25! (Granted it was a lunch special, its normally about 6 dollars) overall though I'd definitely recommend this restaurant. read more

I love this place because you can get great Mexican / Tex-Mex food AND rub elbows with some of Mexico's most notorious drug lords! The food is really really good and the service is excellent. Today I had tacos al pastor, which came with beans & rice, and of course a thousand calories worth of chips with really spicy salsa. That plus an ice tea set me back all of $6.50. We wanted authentic Mexican fare and we got it! You know you're in the right place when the restaurant is surrounded by Quinceañera stores. We got the 3 taco combo plate, I got lengua, barbacoa, and carnitas. My hubs got pollo en salsa roja, carne asada, and nopalitos. They were really tasty tacos! Especially the lengua, you can always tell a place has good Mexican if they cook a good lengua. And the price was phenomenal! The service was polite, quick, and friendly! I like this place and eat here fairly often. It is real food made very well. Price is right for everyday meals. All the dishes I've tried are made with rock-solid recipes, and they are usually well executed. (Once or twice I've had an order suffer because the place is too crowded for the staff to keep up.) Our new favorite lunch place at work! Really good tacos, and super cheap. I like getting one of their soft tacos and an order of guacamole, it's a perfect lunch and incredibly filling. I have been here many times over the years, mostly after a long night out. The staff is courteous and the food is served in a reasonable time. The fajita quesadilla is the only thing I ever order, but do my recent dine-in experience I will not go back. The fajitas were of the worst cut of meat, and I was charged for an extra order of chips, which were usually complimentary. I would have been ok to pay the $1 and some change, had I been informed prior. The waiter just asked, "more chips" and I said, yes, as usual. I didn't know until I was ready to pay that I was of the charge, never again. Oh and another thing, their restroom is filthy. I have no idea how the owner or manager doesn't see a problem with it. I had hoped that over the years they would have renovated it, but they haven't. At least if they are not going to renovate it, they should at least keep it clean!
