Pretty good overall. About average service. The restaurant was small, but had a nice outdoor patio. It was about 4:30pm on Saturday & it was not busy so one would expect faster service. I'd say the best part was the drink. The tacos were very average, but tasty. At the end of the day it could have been better, but I'm full. I'll try and update a review my next time in Hollister.

This is the sz of their $10 breakfast burrito.

First time ordering food from here. Got a potato with bacon and egg breakfast burrito. Was expecting something hardy that would fill me up. When I received the burrito I was like where is the rest of it lol. For $10 bucks not worth it. Flavor wise it was ok nothing special. Potatoes were bland needed some seasoning and their green salsa was kinda acidic.

    Enchiladas Americanas

The enchiladas americanas were just ok. They were also small as were the rice and beans portions. I might have enjoyed them more if they spent a few more minutes in the oven. I'm not sure the tortillas were even cooked at all. I got the pollo in one and it was tasty. The container in my pic is small so it looks like there is more than there really is. It comes with pico, guac, lettuce and sour cream. My husband enjoyed them more than I did. Everyone was nice, everything looked clean enough. $18 for this.

Not impressed. Flavorless taco, uncooked tortilla, unflavored beans. I ordered shrimp tacos and the shrimp is chopped up cooked like ceviche style. Nasty! My kids tacos de asada were made from stiff cheap meat in huge chunks. Nasty food.

It used to be good. Order a fried fish tilapia. It looked like a gold fish size. Over cooked. More Like gold fish chicharrón.

Very happy with our gauge breakfast burritos. Next time i would get no beans but still delicious. The chorizo was great and not greasy at all. We both had food left over!

    Seafood Mariscada

This unassuming restaurant is located in the same corner lot as McDonalds! I usually order the Seafood Mariscada! It is a HIT every time! My fave dish! The girls are all so lovely and sweet! The food is consistently delicious! And I know every time it will hit the spot!

Michelada. Ate two shrimp already, muy delicious.

Came here for lunch and it was busy, so I sat outside. Waitress came with salsa and chips quickly, but when taking my order I noticed she wasn't writing anything down, and had me repeat my order several times. One wet burrito, guac and sour cream, carne asada. One Chile relleno plate. . When the food came? She forgot to place the order for the wet burrito. The Chile relleno could have been good, the plate was scorching, but the relleno was cold in the center. 4$ for an iced tea. And the scoop is f rice was extremely small. 17$ only ate half my relleno. Left zero tip. First time I've ever done that. El rinconcito is usually a guaranteed hit, but that waitress needs better training. Disappointed.

    Quesa Birria tacos

Last night at El Riconsito was amazing, not only was the food amazing the customer service was phenomenal. Our hostess Estefania greeted us as soon as we walked in the door, with these times and face masks its difficult to read people's facial expression but Estefania made sure we felt safe and comfortable every minute we were there. We had quesabirria tacos with consome and the cheese would just melt with every bite. This restaurant is a must.

    Birria tacos! Yummers!

This place used to have some really good Oaxacan menu options. Those are gone. Now it's just a regular "Mexican" restaurant menu.

Everything I've tried has been delicious. I usually get their sushi and Tostada De Jaiva. Yesterday I got the carnitas tacos... oh my goodness they were hands down the BEST carnitas tacos I've EVER had. The corn tortillas are handmade and the carnitas were fresh and tender with a little crisp, AMAZING. I don't think the people of Hollister know, but they serve breakfast too. I wanna be selfish, cause I know there will be a wait once people find out, but I also want them to keep serving it cause it's so good. My husband usually gets the Huevos Rancheros, I get Chilaquiles Verdes w/ Cafe de Olla, and my kids get the pancakes that are not only beautiful, but so yummy. The chilaquiles are delicious, the tortilla chips have a good crisp in every bite. Their pancake batter is unique and definitely made in house, I wish I could get the recipe to make at home.

The sushi was fried or "tempura" so it probably doesn't count as true sushi but it still tasted good. We sat outside on their patio where it was a comfortable temperature albeit a bit windy. The server was very attentive and friendly and checked on us regularly to see how our food and drinks were. It is a great spot right downtown so it is fun and lively.

I called ahead to get some information on this place, as I've never tried it before, only to find that they were unable to speak over the phone, and simply responded, "lo siento, no English." It's fine. My Spanish is not the greatest... but, I managed to stop in and order by pointing at some menu items they have listed. Ultimately, it all worked out. Managed to get an order in for carne asada fries and a round of tacos too. While the tacos were nothing to write home about--the carne asada fries on the other hand, were spectacular! The portion is huge and the flavors of all the ingredients are truly amazing. I don't want to sound corny, but each bite was like a friggin' fiesta in my mouth. Almost as good as the stuff I used to get close to the border when I lived in SoCal. Close. This place is a total hole in the wall, but definitely a great local find. Great service, amazing food variety and a good bang for your buck. Looking forward to stopping and trying their other offerings soon.

Per a Yelp check for a breakfast spot, found this place with Great reviews of huevos rancheros and chilaquiles and cafe de olla--so I knew we had to come here. It didn't disappoint! The staff is very kind and clearly working hard, but the system itself feels completely unorganized. It honestly feels like everyone is on their first day at the same time. Tables don't seem to be divided in a logical way. Instead of one server handling inside and another the patio, servers are running back and forth between both areas, which slows everything down. During our visit, we ordered drinks with one person, placed our food order with who I think was our actual waitress, had our food delivered by someone from the kitchen who wasn't sure which table it belonged to, got refills from someone who may have been the manager or owner, and didn't see our waitress again until we had to go ask for the check ourselves. Kitchen staff were walking out with dishes asking around to find the right table, which added to the confusion. Everyone is friendly and clearly trying their best, but the lack of organization makes the experience inefficient and a bit stressful as a customer. I would still recommend Buenos Días Cafecito if you have time and patience that day. The food really is that good, just don't come in a rush or expecting smooth service.
