Came here with some friends that eat here a lot. Now I know why. Food was amazing, cooked perfectly and the amount of food they give is shareable. Not a big fan of the chicharones de pollo (chicken chunks) without the bone rather have the dark meat but the made the chick so juicy and tasty. The yellow rice with shrimp was great. I hear the fried rice is very good but it's only on Thursdays. Service was good, waitress was very attentive didn't have to ask for refills and food did not take long. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was a great vibe inside,[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I wish this was closer to me but I'll definitely be back.

Best Cuban Food in Miami / Mejor comida Cubana en Miami I've been coming to this restaurant for over 7 years now and I can't believe I've never given it a review. Hands down the best Cuban food I've had in Miami. The food is always so fresh, the quantities are big and the service is always top tier. Whenever family is in town, we take them there to eat. It never fails. Nunca falla.

Repeat visit. Wife & I just flew in from Paris and stayed nearby last night. Woke up starving. This is all we were looking forward to this afternoon for lunch. Great service. Waitresses remind me of when and how my mom would serve me food when I was a child. Great traditional cuban cuisine. Always go for the specials of the day. Food is super fresh due to its high turnover. Also the daily specials come out in a few minutes. Don't order too much from daily specials because the entire order will come out at once at the same time. Large dining room with high tops and regular tables. When busy the restaurant gets loud. It's a Latin thing. We speak loudly. It's a cultural thing. I'm guilty of it too. Traditional Cuban restaurant. We love it. Come and Enjoy!!!

I had to be in the area for some mechanic work so we stopped here! Kelv got a burger , I got the breakfast !! It all came out to $25 , can't find places like this anymore! Ladies were very nice and said hello as soon as we walked in! For the price, the food is really good :) cute little spot if you don't want to break the bank.

Receipt from my visit today. Two meals were for dinning in and two meals to go.

I have been coming to this place with my husband for many years now. The food, portions and service have always been amazing. I still remember when the price for "carne asada" was $21.99 because is what I ALWAYS order. The price has been going. As you can see from the receipt, the price is now $29 for carne asada. I understand the price for everything has been going up and I'm okay with paying more. However, I am not okay with paying more and getting smaller portions. I have to say I am disappointed to compare the potions of the steak now that the prices have gone up to what I used to get when it was only $21.99.

Found this gem when visiting this area of Miami. The food was delicious and service was friendly and quick! Ambiance was clean and not too noisy or noisy. Plenty of parking in their lot. Portions are ginormous so come hungry!

Nice open and big space with lots of seating. Friendly service and huge portions. Highly recommend the Cuban coffee. Tried a few things on the menu and all of it was delicious.

We were the only ppl that did not speak Spanish here so was excited to try grandma's cooking. Cuban coffee amazing Chicken steak that was a Saturday special was so tender didn't even need a knife. Lots of flavor. massive portions. Enough for 2-3 to share People were super nice. Don't miss this place for authentic food and experience

Arroz con pollo - so good and enough for four people with the rice.

Delish. The hubs and I had a night in Miami before an international flight and decided to grub hub to our hotel after the staff told us they routinely order from here. I went with arroz con pollo and he opted for the shredded chicken. Let me first start by saying the portions are enormous. Each of our portions had to have weighed about a pound or two each and came in their own bag. We had enough to have just my leftovers for breakfast the next day and were stuffed after both meals. The arroz con pollo rice and veggies were my favorite part of the dish whereas the shredded chicken from the hubs dish was the best of his dish. Putting the two together would make an amazing meal. The black beans and rice from the hubs was a touch dry and needed a bit more seasoning. The delivery was fast and friendly and I would definitely come back here if we were back in Miami.

The menu is extensive, offering so many authentic Cuban favorites that it can be hard to decide what to order. I've been here multiple times, and honestly, I haven't had a single dish that I didn't enjoy. Everything I've tried has been flavorful, satisfying, and worth coming back for. The restaurant is spacious with plenty of seating, so even though it's popular, it does a great job accommodating guests. The lively atmosphere adds to the overall experience and gives you a true taste of Miami's Cuban culture. Don't leave without stopping by the bakery next door! It's the perfect way to end your meal, with an incredible selection of pastries, desserts, coffee, and other sweet treats. Even if you're already full, it's worth grabbing something to enjoy later. Great food, generous portions, a rich history, and an authentic atmosphere--Versailles continues to be one of my favorite places to visit whenever I'm in Miami.

We started with the grilled octopus, which was absolutely outstanding and one of our favorite dishes of the night. I also ordered their take on a Moscow Mule, and it was refreshing, well-balanced, and delicious. For the main course, we shared two of the specials--the red snapper and the meat platter. Both were excellent, and the portions were generous enough to comfortably feed our group of six. The atmosphere is what really makes this place special. The live Cuban music, energetic entertainment, and vibrant ambiance create such a fun and memorable experience. Our server was attentive, friendly, and helped make the evening even more enjoyable. A couple of things to know before you go: reservations are definitely recommended because the restaurant is very popular, and tables are limited to a two-hour seating. If you'd like to continue the night, you can always move over to the bar, which keeps the great energy going. If you're looking for authentic Cuban food, fantastic cocktails, and a lively night out, Café La Trova is absolutely worth visiting!

An older waitress served our table. She first brought us calamari that was undercooked, sticky, and raw. She replaced it with octopus, which was more expensive, and we agreed to keep it. We also asked for tap water, but she brought us bottled water instead, which cost $10. The restaurant was very dark, making it difficult to notice these things right away. Before we had a chance to review everything, the food was already served. When the check arrived, she pressured me to pay quickly, so I didn't have enough time to carefully review the bill. Later, I realized we had been charged for additional side dishes that we never ordered, which increased the total significantly. This restaurant is wonderful and doesn't need these kinds of tactics. I only wish they employed more honest waitstaff. My advice is to carefully check your order and your bill before paying so you don't end up spending extra money or dealing with unnecessary stress that could ruin an otherwise enjoyable evening. I truly loved the atmosphere and the food, but I was very disappointed by the service. For me, the ambiance and food deserve 5 stars, while the service deserves only 1 star. That averages out to a 3-star review.

Unfortunately, our other server disappeared and never checked up on us. We pretty much didn't have any napkins during our entire duration of our meal. At least that part was good. We started off with a couple of mojitos and their Vaca Frita Tostones. You get these homemade maduro tostones topped off with shreeded beef in a moon sauce, pickled onion, and aji Amarillo aioli. A very delicious dish that didn't last long. Shortly after we received our main dish. I really hate when they do that. My wife ordered their Abuelas Ropa Vieja and I ordered their Masa de Puerco Chino. My wife didn't really care for her dish much. We've had plenty of Ropa Vieja before and would have preferred a congri type of rice as opppsed to just plain white rice. My dish was 10/10. Like in the name of "chino" this is an Asian inspired dish with fried rice, maduros, pineapple confit and crispy pork. A very delicious dish. It could have don't without the little salad on top, but at least it ads color to the dish. The crispy pork tasted so amazing and the fried had so much flavor. Mix in some of the maduros and you get a sweet and savory dish. Would definitely be returning to try this dish again.
