This is the most delicious mexican food in Lexington park hands down! The customer service has always been top notch! The wait time is either fast or right on time in my experience. Depending who is at the counter, there is always friendly conversation. Nobody is beating the Birria Tacos or the the price for the quality. NO ONE! Not in Lexington Park. The horchata is good, could stand to be a tad bit sweeter, but I love it. I compare the flavors of someone's grandma in the back with all the family flavors and secret recipes. There is dining in (which I recommend, if it's your first time). I am telling you hands down most flavorful and friendly establishment! I have cheated on them a few times with others around and there may be only one that can partially compete. I will tell you, they are definitely not on 235. They dine in area is very neat and clean! Not impressed! There are plenty of Mexican restaurants and this one just does not compete. My pork was about 1/4 overcooked on the outside. Portion was ok for a lunch. A variety of sauces were available. A little dark inside. My plate for lunch was $13.00!!! Way to night for the serving size and quality. Don't plan on returning. read more

I've been told there are no god Mexican restaurants in this area, after reading reviews I went in, I asked to make me a carne asada burrito, pico the gallo, beef and avocado, instead I got beef, rice, beans and then added the avocado and pico de gallo, half way through burrito I found a long hair, they apologized and said we will make you another too good at no charge, still the same thing not what I asked for, the owner or manager said in Spanish do not make it that big, my bill was over $20 for a burrito and a glass of water!!!!!! So got charged for 2 burritos that did not have what I wanted and a hair in the food! read more

Finally got around to trying the new local taqueria El Rinconcito this past weekend and it was amazing! Takes me back to the little taco shops we had all over San Diego when I lived there. We had the Cali Fries (their version of Carne Asada fries) which were very good! Not exactly as good as what they have in San Diego but close enough! We also shared the three taco special w/ Lengua, Carnitas, & Carne Asada. All three were excellent. My favorite was the flautas. They are so crispy and the chicken was super flavorful. The rice and beans that came w/ the entrees were excellent as well. Food does take a while to come out but IMO its worth the wait. read more

The food was decent but the service left a lot to be desired. There was no kids menu. We asked if they could make nachos for my daughter and he said yes. He asked if we wanted queso and we explained we preferred shredded cheese melted. He brought us the queso. We asked for flour tortillas and he brought us corn. When we pointed this out, he said they were handmade and that's why they looked different. But we tasted them and they were corn. Sure enough, I saw the bill and he had rung them up as corn. 3 stars is fair for this one. Like everyone else says, the service is quite slow, so those looking for a fast lunch, look elsewhere. For the most part, the food is great. In particular, their chicken burrito is excellent, as are all the sauces that come with it. However, their al pastor is AWFUL. The spicing isn't very present, and it's almost all gristle & fat with very little actual meat. I'd say give it a chance, but patience is a virtue here. And avoid the al pastor unless you like chewing on pure pork fat. read more

This obscure mexcian restaurant in the heart of Lexington Park dishes out an impressive variety of mexican soul food favorites, ranging from tacos, to enchiladas, to burritos. But perhaps the most shocking part of dining here is the pleasing aesthetic of each plate and the excellent quality the meats. The Food: Having tried the chicken tacos, chorizo tacos, and nacos and guacamole, I can honestly tell you that El Rinconcito does the essentials right, and treats all the ingredients with much respect. Seeing some of the enchilada and burrito platters ordered by friends, I can also tell you that their other menu items look equally phenomenal. The baseline taco (w/o addons) is delicate but satisfying, rocking your meat of choice and cilantro, wrapped in two soft tortillas. The Atmosphere: This is the aspect of El Rinconcito that, in my opinion, holds the restaurant back from being more popular. First, the physical restaurant is hidden in the corner of lackluster shopping center, and the outside signage is almost non-existent. If it was not for a friend of mine tipping me off, I would still be clueless. Once inside, it feels even more underwhelming, with a boxy layout and unattractive lighting. At first glance, it is hard to believe the quality of the food will be much different than the dining atmosphere. I get that there is a special charm that comes with being an underdog style restaurant, but if they would only make the restaurant a little more welcoming, I feel their customer base would have a great boost. The Price: The price for a single taco at the restaurant is only slightly on the high side, at $2.99. Now remember, these tacos are more impressive than what you will find at Taco Bell. Nonetheless, for the size of the taco, knocking off $0.50 would go a long way. The Service: Although the waiter/host was patient and well-mannered, there was a small disconnect in communication since the waiter didn't seem to speak English fluently. This becomes a bigger issue when you want something explained on the menu. read more

Thank goodness for El Taco Feliz (new name, same amazing food!)!!! I feel like everyone out here loves Salsas (in Leonardtown), don't get me wrong it's alright and they do really well for themselves, but this place is SO much better! Their food is amazing! Way better than any other place in town! Previous Yelpers have said it brings memories of Southern California back and they are on the money! I have been dying for a California Burrito from anywhere in San Diego since I've moved out here! And after about a year and a half, I found this amazing, little, hidden gem! Great (authentic) Mexican joint near the Pax River Navy base gate 2 entrance. I was a little hesitant going for Mexican food in Maryland, but it was highly recommended by a Navy person so we gave it a shot. (FYI, I live in San Diego where mexican food is king). I had street tacos (carnitas, carne asada, and adobada) and they were great. Carne asada was good while the carnitas and adobada were great. They also served four different salsas, one was a spicy guacamole that was my favorite. We went for lunch and the place was half full. Service was good, but not super fast. Chicken wasn't as flavorful. Tortillas made in house. Also ordered a side of rice and beans to try. I've had better rice but beans were very flavorful. For my first time dinning with them, they have surpassed my expectations in what I wanted. I was very pleased with their food and service. I ordered the Fish & Shrimp burrito and they were very generous with the queso sauce and had a very good balance of rice, beans, and seafood in the burrito. I also ordered the Cali Fries and it was full of amazing flavors. In terms of the pricing for my meal it was well worth it due to my burrito meal becoming 2-3 servings (my leftovers tasted just as good when reheated in the oven).
