Tacos al Pastor
Ryan T.

Ordered ahead to pick up a buncha tacos from this location today and every taco was delicious- we ordered pastor, chicken, and lengua. Ordering ahead is a pretty decent hack right now as the spot just opened so it's nice n busy. Service isn't slow but it's nice to be able to duck in and pick up food without hanging around. The location is pretty tight as parking goes but they maximized seating with some covered tables outside Will come here again soon- especially if the Sounders have a good match next season.

Chipotle enchiladas.
Charlotte G.

I saw this spot opened recently and was excited to check it out! I had the chipotle enchiladas and they were super filling and tasty. They came with beans and rice too. The price was reasonable as well - I think around $16 for 3 enchiladas and the sides. I was able to choose the filling for each too. The inside is surprisingly spacious too. Looking forward to coming back!

We shared a 3 piece cod and chips and a large chowder. It's nice they give a senior discount when you are over 60 (yikes!). The service was quick and friendly and we got our food quickly. The fish is cooked up perfectly with a golden crust and was delicious. They serve it with their house tartar sauce and a very small side of coleslaw. The chowder was very hearty and tasty as well. Everything here was good and, even though seating inside is limited, they had a few outdoor tables which helped. We at outside and another group joined us and we made friends with them. Bonus. Give this small business a try next time you're in Rainier Valley. I'll definitely come back again.

I was able to sample my coworkers dishes (they offered of course and I did too) and the goat curry -- try this too if you like curry! Such amazing flavor and tender goat! They do not take reservations but it's peak around dinner time and weekends! We got lucky with the last big table! The menu is creative and colorful. Staff is amazing! What immediately caught our attention (for obvious reasons) was the bold sign: LIVE KING CRAB. We walked in and were instantly impressed. Large water tanks filled with live Dungeness crab and live king crab, crystal-clear water, and absolutely no fishy smell--always an excellent sign. The space feels more like a clean, well-run warehouse set up for both wholesale and retail, not a typical seafood market. A gentleman working there quickly came over and started chatting with us about crab. Super knowledgeable and friendly. They offer a wide selection: live, fresh, and frozen crab, Japanese scallops, fish, and a variety of shellfish. We considered the live king crab, but it was honestly too big for the two of us to handle in a hotel kitchen--and definitely would've been a splurge. So, plan B: I called my sister-in-law to see if she'd like some frozen king crab legs. She said yes immediately. The gentleman showed us the frozen options, and the king crab legs were long, meaty, and impressive--similar in size to what Costco carries, but priced better. We ended up negotiating a great deal and purchased a box of their Party Pack King Jumbo Crab Legs for her. Later that evening, she surprised her daughter with a king crab birthday dinner, and they reported the legs were super meaty and absolutely delicious. Safe to say, we'll definitely keep Seattle Seafood Center in mind for future seafood splurges. If you love high-quality seafood and especially crab, this place is worth a stop--even if it's an unplanned one.

We were a group of 5 and they accommodated us with no problem. Everyone was so welcoming. The place is cute and cozy and you can truly taste that everything is made from scratch. We ordered a variety of dishes and not a single one disappointed. Every plate was cleaned and our tastebuds were dancing. Since it was my birthday they brought out a slice of tiramisu. I usually do not even like tiramisu but theirs completely changed my mind. I shared it and everyone loved it. Honestly the best I have ever had. Beautiful views too. I will definitely be back the next time I visit Seattle.

I was quite taken by the restaurant. It even hosts a wonderful view of downtown Seattle and a peak of the Puget Sound. The restaurant is small and intimate. This Italian-style restaurant served one of the best meals I had at the time. So when the opportunity to return came, I wanted to run there from my home. We were immediately shown to our table, and drinks arrived with little effort. One thing to watch for is that they offer sparkling water or tap water. It is easy to think of it as an option, but the sparkling water is a few bucks by the bottle. With four people, it is easy to go through a few bottles quickly - this is my weakness since I have replaced soda with sparkling water. We began with cheesy flat bread and baked goat cheese. The cheesy flatbread was amazing and delicious, and the baked goat cheese was out of this world. I can honestly say that I did not know what to expect, but the baked goat cheese with Taro chips was delightful. What is a trip to an Italian restaurant without a Caesar salad? I added grilled shrimp that were just wonderful as well. This Caesar had a creamy dressing, croutons, and shredded parmesan. The dressing was not overwhelming, but the croutons were a bit hard and difficult to chew. I would give it a B-. I had the PENNE SPECIALI ( mesquite-grilled chicken, spinach, tomato, mushrooms, white wine butter sauce). The description of this dish was better than the flavor. Salt is a flavor enhancer, but when you add it to the dish after it's been cooked, it's like lukewarm coffee - it's okay, but you would have preferred it hot. For dessert, I had the caramel, chocolate custard with chocolate sticks. This was heavenly, and I would eat 100 more. This is a dessert worth the wait, and I do not advise you to share because you will get less. It was the perfect finish. One secret restaurateurs must know is that ambiance, setting, and conversation enhance the food experience, but if the food does not complement the other parts of the experience, something is lost. This place has everything: the view, service, and dining intimacy. Why leave the main dish out of the experience? I want to want to come back like I did the first time I fell in love with "That's Amore."
