We decided to give them a try since they just opened that location downtown... Terrible! The carne asada was more like boiled pork of some kind and the fried items tasted fishy.

Crab crab crab. Im not sure if my taste buds are of beat, so please by all means correct me if im wrong.... In my opinion this hole in the wall has one of best tasting crab dishes i've had period. It set my personal bar for comparing other crab places. The ocean is 80 miles away and yet the flavor is better than most if not all the Frisco joints I've been. Make sure its dungeness or stone crab, before you order, the snow crab doesn't cut it for me. Once again its my opinion..

I can finally say it was 4 out of 5. Next time, I'll probably order the "Burn My Tongue" level because I love my food really spicy...like really spicy. I definitely enjoy bold heat. The service was decent as well. I just wish our server had come back to check on us a couple more times because it was a little hard to get her attention. I needed a few extra lemons, and it took a while to ask. Other than that, everything was good overall.

I really wanted to like this spot, but we probably won't be coming back anytime soon…read more We love the Milpitas location and assumed all locations offered the same drinks. We were disappointed to find out this one doesn't offer micheladas or Coke Zero (only Diet), both of which the Milpitas location offers. Service was also frustrating. We came in for a Friday lunch and they weren't busy, yet it took a while for anyone to acknowledge us and seat us. Even getting our order in was difficult because our server rarely came by. There were only a few other tables and three servers total, so it didn't make sense. We had to wave multiple times just to get someone's attention. The biggest issue was when we ordered 3 lunch shrimp boils and added 1/2 lb of extra sausage. Each lunch is supposed to come with 1 corn, 2pcs sausage, 2 pcs potatoes, and 1 boiled egg. Naturally, we assumed ordering 3 lunches would mean three orders of all of that, and one of the bags would have the extra sausage. Instead, they put all the shrimp into one bag. Ok fine but then we noticed we only had 1 corn when we should've had 3 in there. Once we noticed we were short on corn, we realized we were short on everything else too, with 2 pcs potatoes, and 1 egg in the entire bag. When we brought it up, our server said we should have specified that we wanted three separate bags. That didn't make sense to us. We've ordered the same way at the Milpitas location and received 3 separate bags with all the included items in each. Even if they combined everything into one bag, it doesn't explain why we were missing sides or why we would want less sides. She did say she'd bring out the missing items, but again, it was difficult to get her attention. The servers were mostly standing behind the counter instead of checking on tables. We also noticed their lunch pricing varies depending on shrimp head-on or head-off, which is different from the other location (they charge the same for either) and the Stockton location is slightly more expensive for lunch too..maybe b/c they add an egg? The egg was also over boiled and almost grey inside (you know what I'm talking about!) The yolk just crumbled. The sauce though was consistent and that's what we love about Cajun Crackin. Same great flavor. Overall, we wanted to give this location a chance, but between the slow service, the pushback on what should have been a straightforward order, and the limited drink options, it just didn't leave a good impression.

For one reason or another, he just wasn't able to get our attention, which is weird considering we are all sitting around him and he's playing with fire. I also recommend ordering the food with less butter and soy sauce, since places like this tend to be heavy handed with both. The restaurant has made an interesting choice to offer soup OR salad with your $40 meal. It comes across as stingy, but I've been to places where the table gets overcrowded with plates and bowls so I didn't mind too much. One thing to note about the place is they do not have an exhaust above the grill. Instead, the exhaust vent is at grill-level. Your clothes will reek of smoke either way but I could definitely see people with asthma having difficulty at this place.

Our server was very friendly and attended to our drinks. She also recited the specials and wine special too. Very attentive waitress (sorry I didn't get her name, tall blonde who makes you feel like VIP, but she's been working at Bud's for quite awhile and she really makes customers feel valued and welcomed), the place was getting pretty busy on a Wednesday early-afternoon. I ordered the Bud's salad, while the other Ladies ordered the shrimp salad, crab Louie and filet of sole. Bud's beef by itself is so tender, marinated perfectly and cooked medium on top a bed of dark leafy salad with avocado, tomatoes, baby corn, red onions and blue cheese on the side. Excellent!!!! Everybody's food looked amazing and they all loved their food as well. I usually order salmon or the combo seafood dish, but this time I wanted to try the Bud's salad (I have had the Bud's beef before and knew it was addicting good). Bud's Seafood Grille is a gem of restaurant in Stockton. Clam chowder is to die for too, but everything is deliciously good! I've tried most of them and they just can't match the creamy garlic butter sauce on the crab that The Crab Zone has perfected. I always order the Dungeness crab (garlic butter of course) and my daughter ordered the traditional and zesty, Spicy Cajun sauce. I have to say, the crabs were pretty good in size, very meaty and very tasty. We ordered the fried calamari for an appetizer which tasted freshly made. We both ordered the peach lemonade that had fresh pieces of chopped peaches in the drink. Very tasty. The crab comes with choices of corn, potatoes and sausage that you expect in a crab boil. The hot link sausage is my favorite. I also ordered a side order of the garlic noodles. I love garlic noodles but these are a little thin and dry and don't preserve as well when cooled down. I would love to try the shrimp, mussels and clams but the crab was more than enough. The service is spectacular. The owner is so nice. Her kindness makes her my secret crush....but let's just keep that between us. The ambience is trendy, sporty, divey -just perfect for the locals and regulars. They were playing a nice soundtrack and had the World Cup playing on the tv. While everything about The Crab Zone is spectacular - the Dungeness crab is a bit pricey. $250 was the price tag (not including tip) and about $40 more than last year. But no complaints because The Crab Zone is delicious.

Garlic noodles - 5/10 too plain. If they add the garlic sauce from the Cajun wings, that would definitely elevate the whole dish! My only dislike was the sauce. Extremely too watery for my liking. The spice level is there, and the flavor is there in the boil water. I am more of a saucy, Cajun, garlicky person. Overall... Service was great. Vibes are cool inside. Thank you Crab Zone!
