Love to eat from this place! They got a lot of varieties of foods to eat!! It's hard to choose sometimes but everything on the menu looks very good. And tried a few of them myself and never disappoint! Highly recommend this place to everyone!!

They have a great mild green salsa for the chips and salsa they give out while you are waiting for your food. I had the carnitas tacos and their carnitas were moist and not dry and they pack the tacos well. The tacos alone are delicious but I love salsa and asked for more of the tasty green salsa and coated them and they were even tastier. I also had the chicken taquitos and they were also moist and tasty along with the amazing dip concoction of avocado and sour cream mix they give out with it. The waiter who gave our food was very nice and also the other staff was too upon arriving and leaving . We had a warm friendly chill vibe and over all great homemade food. I love the inside of the restaurant especially the ceiling which had the Loteria Board game all over it. We will be coming back for more and to try the other menu items.

Taco Tuesday was super yummy, and Julio was an awesome waiter! He was highly attentive and helped us with our dietary needs. Highly recommend!

Delicious! Hidden gem on east side. So far we've had shrimp tacos, tortas, and flan and they were all terrific.

Pork osso buco was a 10/10 and paired with the best risotto I've ever had. Seriously.... A special thank you to Jeannett, who was an outstanding server. Everyone was warm and friendly, our server was very attentive without being overbearing. The food was also excellent. I had the Lamb (medium rare) with potato mash and asparagus plus an Old Fashioned, while my wife had the filet (medium rare) with roasted potatoes and broccolini plus a Margarita. The only criticism I would make is regarding the bread (which was free). It kind of fell apart and wasn't great, but the sauce provided with the bread was excellent! I would suggest they find a local bread maker to supply their bread. Normally I'd say just remove that from service altogether but the sauce was so good that I'd hate to see it go. Again, we didn't pay for it and it wasn't a huge issue, but it was the only thing that stuck out. We would highly recommend to friends and will definitely be back!

She recommended sitting at the bar, so we did just that, and it was such a good choice. It was really fun to watch them cook and get to chat with the owner while he did so. We asked the owner what he recommended, and the calamari appetizer was his highlight. We started with that, and it was great. While everything else in the meal was also really good, this was the highlight and I'd absolutely get it again and again. For mains we got the scallop and scampi pasta over pasta and the trio fish plate special. Narrowing it down to these two wasn't easy since everything on the menu sounded good. I would get both items again, but will probably get something else next time just to try more of the menu. We came in right as they opened on a weekday evening, so we had the place to ourselves to start. It did start to fill in fairly quickly, so I would imagine it gets crowded on weekends.

We ordered: Raw oysters (Blue Point), oyster casino and Rockefeller. They were all fine, but also lackluster. Wasn't bad, but wasn't great. It was annoying how the all oysters were not detached from the muscle. Was gonna order dinner here, but considering it's a seafood restaurant and the seafood we had wasn't amazing, we decided to skip. All the staff were friendly and accommodated a Caesar salad for us. They have a few daily specials, so it may be worth a try for you, but we'd recommend pappy's if you're looking for oysters and/or drinks!

The restaurant is right in the heart of downtown Paso Robles, making it an easy stop if you're exploring the area. We had reservations through OpenTable and arrived a little early. They seated us within a few minutes, and although outdoor seating was available, it was around 97°, so we were happy to wait for an indoor table. The inside has a really cool Spanish hacienda vibe with rustic wood beams, warm lighting, and plenty of unique décor to take in. It's a fun space with lots of character and is connected in the back to the tiki bar next door, making it easy to continue the evening with a drink. The atmosphere was lively without being overly loud, and we really enjoyed the classic '80s music playing softly in the background. The oysters were fresh and very good. My wife ordered the ceviche and enjoyed it. I had the hanger steak salad--it was decent, but I'd probably skip the beets next time and order something different. Overall, the food was good, but it didn't quite rise to the level of "great." Service was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. Overall, Fish Gaucho is worth a visit for its downtown location, unique Spanish-inspired atmosphere, and solid food. While there are probably stronger culinary options in Paso Robles, we'd happily come back to enjoy the ambiance, check out the connected tiki bar, and sample a few different menu items.

We have eaten grilled and fried fish tacos and the fish and chips. All the dishes are filling and satisfying. The fish tacos have a nice helping of shredded cabbage and sauce. Seemed like you could park in the other lot on the north with the human bean coffee shop, and walk across the cute connecting bridge that brings you to this lot in front of TJ. Anyway, it was nice and cozy inside, with counter to grab seafood or order some food. Inside had maybe 4 or so tables, while outside had many more. First went outside after ordering, but it was quite windy chilly so went back inside:) Had checked out the menu ahead of time, so ordering was easy. Tall young man was super friendly. Even brought out the food to the table when ready. - Fish n Chips = was so crispy and fresh, absolutely delicious and kid ate it up. plenty of fries too that we all could share - Fish tacos = got one grilled, one fried. Of course fried tastes better, but grilled was great as well. Covered in cabbage and special sauce. The sauce was excellent and addictive, easily defeated all the cabbage. And the fresh fish pieces in these were huge/thick, just awesome. The salsa that came on the side I guess is for the tortilla chips, since the taco had that special sauce on it, so no need salsa on it to detract from the special sauce. The tortilla chips seemed to be fresh cut and fried in house, was so crunchy good, especially when get a chip with a bit of salt on it. - Salmon salad = this was fantastic as well. Generous salmon pieces and the balsamic glaze was perfect with salmon and salad. I guess 2 of the salmon pieces were the skin, which was the best part! Such a delicous way to get your omega 3!!! With so many places to try, sadly only got to eat here once, but it was up there as a memorable meal, A+! And allows for you to walk off your fullness at TJ afterward, just perfect.
