He kept apologizing, but honestly it did not take that long to get our food. And the food is such a #yum! (Because of a Yelp item, I had a free Pabellon Arepa - it had a really good size portion of shredded beef, beans, cheese, and, my favorite, sweet plantains.) But outside of that, my husband was with me and we ordered more food: The Don Luis bowl (chicken fajita with rice & beans), and a side of fried yuca. We also got a side of tequenos - the delicious little fried cheese sticks wrapped in a thicker dough. How fun to realize that half of the bus is also tables for an actual sit-in dining experience?! What a cute, unique experience. ($11.50) I'm not vegan / I eat meat, but that combination looked appealing today and would also get me some of the sweet plaintains that I was craving. I got it to go, and it came with a little side of a nice crème sauce, and a little side of red sauce that I very quickly learned was ghost pepper! Which I don't see mention of on the menu, but I heard the other patrons in the bus talking about it. I usually take a photo of everything I eat, but I was so hungry and feeling indulgent and gluttonous, and the arepa looked so good, that I neglected to take a photo. Apparently, Venezuelan Cheat Meal is from Westfield, but you can find this food truck all over central Indiana. Like a lot of food trucks, they are super active on social media (Instagram).
