We got takeout and maybe that was our downfall. Everything was dry. We had about 6 different tacos(Al Pastor,Cochinita Pibil,Lomo,Cecina,Pescado,Camaron). Every single one of them was dry as the restaurant didn't provide salsa in little cups for our takeout order. We had some guac that we used to help wash down the tacos. I could say how they could be tasty if they had salsa but it was meh. I think we liked the cecina the best - the camaron/al pastor was pretty good as well. Cochinita was interesting but I think the toppings need to be adjusted a tad as I tasted more sourness than meat. I would give it another try but I think sticking with El Milagro for cheaper and tastier tacos at this point. read more

Not your normal taco joint. The food is TASTY. You get a fair amount of food for your money. Did not dine in but it was nicely adorned. Food came out quick for takeout. Must be because they don't have alcohol license (it's BYOB though) or because of the location. These are not your regular Mexican joint tacos. Comfortable restaurant with friendly staff. Their mixed chips and salsa were excellent. They do need to set out a bigger bowl of salsa though, went through it quickly. The Jicama chips were a surprise and very tasty. The tacos were also excellent. We really enjoyed the Cecina and Al Pastor tacos. The Cecina had sliced steak inside with a marvelous tasting topping. This review is more like 3.5 We came around noon on Saturday. There were a few people there, but they were not busy. There seemed to be a few take out orders they were working on. When we walked in, nobody really seated us. They seemed short staffed. We walked towards the back of the restaurant, and when they finally saw us they grabbed menus and had us sit down. They brought out some chips and salsa which was nice. They only give you a few chips, but I guess that's healthier anyway. We ordered the guacamole ranchero to start. They brought another very small basket of chips and a little bowl of guacamole. It was tasty and fresh, but we were hoping it would be a bit more mashed up. This just was like bunches of diced avocado. It was still well seasoned and we liked it, but it wasn't exactly like the guac we are used to. For tacos we had, al pastor, cecina, tilapia, camaron, arabe, lomo, cochinita pibil. All of them were tasty and they each had some type of topping/sauce. There were lots of different flavors. We especially enjoyed the fried fish taco. However, they don't really give you extra sauce on the table if you like to add extra. We also ordered a horchata which was quite small and watery. It wasn't bad, just different than what we're used to. Lunch came to 48 after tip for 2 people. It was decent, but not worth a special trip if you're not already near by. Service was also very slow, but we did notice a help wanted sign in the window so maybe this will be remedied soon. However, at our usual taco joint, we are in and out within 20-30 minutes (ordered, ate, paid). This place took at least half an hour for our food to just come out to our table. read more

This place is fairly new and VERY good!! On a whim I stopped in for some tacos and they did not disappoint! I recommend the Cochinita Pibil and pastor-style tacos, as both were oh so good. Also, their Ensalada Azteca is fantastic; it's crazy delicious and only $6--and could be a meal in itself! I'd return to this place in a heartbeat for some authentic tacos and a tasty salad. Arkansas Boy and I went here for our impromptu Valentine's Day dinner. Tortillas were red and I didn't know if that was a Valentine's thing or just everyday. The food was so vibrant and delicious that I never wanted it to end. This place seems family run, which most are in the neighborhood, but they put so much care into their food and you can taste it. The size of their tacos are normal to large depending on where you've been. Artisan crafted and visually pleasing, the food options will have me coming back for more very soon. They might have a bar in the works and I look forward to it when they're finished with it. read more

I just went to eat at el taco azteca and I'm sure I will be back soon. Everything was so delicious and fancy every taco has a different look wich is really cool. Luis the owner is really friendly he shows you want each taco is made out of and what it has. As well as the waitress she is very attentive I didn't have to call her at all she would just know that I needed something because she was actually attentive to all the costumers. I would leave zero stars if possible. While their food is tasty I will no longer be supporting this place because of their poor customer service. This part Friday (3/5) I placed an order online and was quote a 15-20 minute time for my order. When I arrived to the restaurant I was told it would be 20 additional minutes. Since I did not have time to wait and asked them to cancel my order. I was told by their FOH person (Alondra) that she was not able to cancel my order and that I had to do it on my own. I explained that I used their website (MenuStar) I didn't think I could cancel since I checkout as a guest. I asked to speak to the manager since it seems ridiculous that they couldn't cancel my order. I left and called the restaurant later that night and the next day in attempt to speak to the manager about my order. I left two message and called multiple times and have yet to hear from them about my order. read more
