Order: Three Flour Tacos Chicken and Carne Asada Honestly, I am not a fan of the tacos...however, if I had to choose one it would be the Carne Asada as it was slightly flavorful. Overall, I felt they were bland in taste. The presentation was great! However, driving home with them a slight oily smell was apparent, which would have been the taco shells. The ambiance is all things Mexico, such a variety of snacks...chips, candies and house made drinks. I think they did a really good job with the space as they have a bar that is full service. They have a salsa bar that is also full service with a variety of flavors. The service was great as the young man explained to me when asked, the various parts of beef they offer. This is a new location, maybe the other meats provide more flavor. I can see this spot being a nice happy hour or weekend place to chill out. Parking is no issue as they have a good amount of parking spaces.

I was in the area looking for a spot to eat, and noticed this taqueria had just recently opened. So I decided to give it a shot, and omg I'm so glad I did! The first thing you notice is the bright and colorful decor. I love the mural in front. They have an area up front by their register where they sell candy and ice cream as well as a mix of bottled drinks. I love it when places offer bottles of soda; they taste way better in my opinion. The staff is very friendly. I asked the girl working the register what was good, and she recommended the birria tacos or the 5-taco combo. I ended up trying both. With the 5-taco combo, you can order 5 different meats! I loved that I got to try different tacos and was not limited to just one meat. Taco de Carne Asada: This was my favorite taco; the seasoning was perfect. Taco de Barbacoa: It was good! Not dry or greasy, nice and tender Taco de Trompo: This one was good too, I didn't get any fatty/chewy pieces Taco de Chicharrón verde: This was my second favorite. Not very often do you see this offered at a taqueria. Tastes like something my mom would make at home. Not for everyone, but I loved it I ordered beans and rice with my 5-taco combo. Very good and seasoned well. My fav was the beans Quessabirra: OMG soooo delicious. The broth and meat were perfection. Highly recommend the birria ******** BONUS! They have a salsa bar with 5 salsa options! My fave was the Mango Habanero and Avocado. The mango habanero had a good spice to it *********** I think my favorite part of the experience was the bar! Oh my goodness, the drinks were absolutely delicious! I loved each one. Let me break them down for you. Mangonada Margarita: They use real mango puree and Tamarindo Smirnoff. Execution was perfect Coconut and Tamarindo: Tamarindo Smrinoff and coconut? Why haven't I combined these two earlier? This combination is heavenly; it was my favorite drink of the night Tropical Tamarindo Marg: Fresh Fruit puree from watermelon, passion fruit, pineapple, and Tamarindo Smirnoff. This drink took me on a tropical escape The bartender was awesome! I believe his name was Pedro. He is a drink master! I loved that they use fresh fruit puree in their drinks The bar is also well stocked! So many different types of liquors I also got to try their frozen drinks mixed with their house Tequilla "Suerte." They come in 3 flavors: Mango, Tamarindo, and Horchata All 3 were delicious and executed well! My fave was the tamarindo and the horchata. The tequila blends in so well in the frozen drink I had the opportunity to talk to the owner and really loved his vision to have a place where the community can come together, eat, drink, and have a good time. I really see this place taking off, and I hope others take the chance to give this place a shot. I loved my experience here. Everything was great! Can't wait to eat some more birria and drink some delicious cocktails!

    Street tacos, trompo and barbacoa

Met up some friends for lunch here after one of them heard about it through social media. We walked in and were greeted kindly by the staff. I decided to try the street tacos, a few trompo and a few barbacoa with cilantro and onions. Both were really good but I slightly preferred the trompo. They also have a plethora of sauces to choose from, all of the ones I tried were really good. One of my friends tried a milanesa torta and it was HUGE! Sometimes when things are that big the taste isn't there but he said it was actually very good as well. Solid spot for some tacos and tortas!

I gotta say, I was impressed at this place. Food is LEGIT Mexican food, not no Tex-Mex crap! What made it pleasant, was the cashiers/servers. Very patient taking our large order, very detailed and meticulous! This is our new breakfast sport after church!!!

The food is definitely good, lots of flavor and not to greasy! Multiple hot sauces to try which I love a good variety from none spicy to extra hot! They have an open bar which I like if you just want to hang out! The vibes are welcoming and friendly. Seating a little limited along with parking but overall a good spot for good tacos and more!

Love this place! The street tacos are so good, especially the carnita tacos are so moist and flavorful! They have an amazing salsa bar with 6 delicious and unique salsas. But be warned as they are spicy! Drink wise, I also enjoyed their tamarindo frozen margarita. We've already been back several times!

I tried the 5 taco deal with one barbacoa, one carne asada, and three trompo tacos, along with a carnitas quesadilla and an agua de Jamaica. The carne asada and trompo tacos were good but I wasn't a fan of the barbacoa. The carnitas quesadilla was decent, though nothing particularly memorable. The agua de Jamaica was much sweeter than I prefer, so I ended up taking it home and diluting it with water. The staff who helped us at the counter were friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated. The only downside was that it felt pretty warm inside the restaurant, enough that we were ready to leave once we finished eating.

Amazing tacos!!! And a full bar - how can you miss that?? We had the birra quesadilla - delicious and a couple tacos. There are so many salsas to try - great place!!

The tacos here are pretty good and the staff especially the bartender is kind. I can tell he's passionate about the drinks he's making and also quite knowledgeable. Made me their version of a espresso martini and it was legit!

The start of the show, torta.
    Diana M.

The star of the show is the torta. It's a shareable size. We asked for carne asada but got what seemed like ground beef but it was more of a carne guisada consistency. The bread is delicious. The salsa bar has great variety, wish it had spice levels. The 5 taquitos for $15.99 seemed a bit high. The lemonade was $5 but not made in house, it was a mix. I get that the cost of doing business is high, we spent more than $65 for two of us. When it comes to tacos we probably won't come back. However, if you are looking for a good place for drinks and margaritas they have great variety.

    Barbacoa and trompo tacos
    Alex W.

You won't find the queso sauce or tacos with melted cheese, these tacos are Mexico City style, which are really small tortillas loaded with meat. And the salsa bar is really something else, the sauces are pretty hot but yet flavorful, not just the kind of sauce you can get out of a bottle. My favorites were the avocado sauce, the pineapple chilli, and the mango sauce; I'd recommend fill up a container and grab a spoon to add some drops to each bite instead of just covering everything in sauce. Their aguas frescas are also a must try; we had the hibiscus and agua de limón and they both tasted like the real thing rather than made from concentrate. The place is clean and very spacious, and they have a bar loaded with all sorts of tequila. Since we were there for breakfast and had a long drive ahead we were going to leave without trying the margaritas, but the guy working the bar wanted to tell us a bit about the options they have and they just happen to have bottled up drinks that you can take home and just add ice!! We bought the horchata with tequila and the regular margarita, both are very tasty not too strong on the alcohol side nor sugary. Definitely will be back to try their other flavors of margaritas and other tacos, they even have tacos de nopal for those who need a veggie option.

Inside it is a one room eatery with counter service. My first visit was to try the Birria Burrito for $16 with the meal delivered about 10 minutes later. It consisted of their Birria meat cooked for 4 hours mixed with chorizo, cheese, rice, beans and sour cream all wrapped in a large flour tortilla seasoned with their special red colored seasoning. With the meal came a cup of consomne'. Guy Fieri would say, Welcome to Flavortown! It was delicious. The Birria beef was so tender and the flavored flour tortilla with that proprietary red seasoning they use was perfect. It was a very filling meal and well worth the price. So much so, I thought about it the next day. Another visit was to try one of their specialities, the Quesabirria for $14. This meal consisted of 3 grilled and crispy corn tortillas seasoned again with their special red colored magic dust. The tortillas had the delicious Birria meat and cheese inside and I again loved them. The tortillas are only slightly crispy and the meat, cheese and tortillas memorable. This meal also came with a cup of consommé for dipping. Another nice thing about eating here is the customer service. The lady at the counter was very friendly and helpful. The guy bussing the tables acted more like the owner than an employee with his helpfulness and the actual manager came out to check on us. Impressive for a counter service restaurant. Tacos Dona Lena deserves its reputation as one of the best restaurants of its kind. Incredible food and employees all at very reasonable prices. The small parking lot adjacent to the truck was nearly empty, except for a few other patrons who probably had the same idea. Ordering was simple and to the point. The menu keeps things straightforward: a selection of meats served as tacos or plates with a handful of sides. I ordered two barbacoa tacos with salsa verde. Less than two minutes after placing my order, they were in my hands. Fast service on a scorching day is always appreciated. With no seating available, I retreated to the comfort of my car to eat. Based on the amount of grease packed into these tacos, I would recommend doing the same. Eating them while standing could end with your shirt becoming an unintended side dish. One thing to note: don't count on a generous napkin supply. I realized after returning to my car that none were included. Consider keeping a few emergency fast-food napkins in your glove compartment. Those leftover Taco Bell napkins may finally fulfill their destiny. The barbacoa was flavorful, the salsa verde complemented it well, and overall, the tacos were overall tasty. That said, I left somewhat underwhelmed considering the crowds I routinely see gathered here during lunch and dinner hours. Perhaps I'm missing the standout item that keeps customers lining up daily. Even so, if you happen to have cash in your pocket and find yourself craving authentic tacos, this truck is certainly worth a stop.

Just go up to the pick-up window when it's supposed to be ready for a painless interaction There's a little bar area where you can get pre-packaged (to-go) salsas, pickled onions, limes, etc etc etc. the salsas are tomatillo, habanero, and jalapeño (I believe) You can order margaritas to go, which we did! Cheers!!
