We've been here multiple times. Even when it was El Mariachi back in the day. We have always been very happy with the service and the food always comes out piping hot and full of flavor. My husband likes the Giant Wet Atascadero Burrito which he says is soft, tender, juicy and filled with flavor. I like the Seafood Burrito with Shrimp and also the Chimichanga plate. Marina's Mexican food is really tasty. I found it to be some real authentic Mexican Food with some nice spice to it. The prices here were really reasonable and our lunch was like a dinner. The chips and salsa are really good and fresh and was a great warm up for the combination dinner. They also have real nice large slices of steak on their steak salad. Definitely worth the price and lots of food to eat. You will need a cart to wheel you out of here because you will be stuffed and want to eat and enjoy every bite. Overall its a 5 star for its food. The best part of this restaurant is its casual and the Owners and staff are all friendly. Definitely recommend catching a lunch or dinner at Marinas Cocina. We are about to move from Atascadero so I need to give a final shout out to Marina's. We eat there pretty regularly and some of the favorites are posole, shrimp cocktail, and chili verde. we have eaten at every Mexican place in town and we keep coming back here so obviously in my opinion , it is the best! read more

Me and a friend ate there yesterday on July 20th, service was excellent, chips and salsa were delicious. We both got chili verde burritos (medium size) plenty of food,and they were fantastic as well. Service was lackluster. Food was a little overpriced for the quality. My husband liked his burrito but he was so hungry he would have eaten roadkill at that point. The chicken on my chicken salad was so salty I couldn't eat it. No tomatoes on the salad even though it said there were on the menu. Mostly lettuce with some pre-shredded dusty tasting cheese and canned black olives. Guac looked okay but lacked flavor. Salsa was good and chips were excellent. Hot and fresh. Definitely would not order the chicken salad again. Every time I drive by this place it looks empty. I think it's because the food just isn't that good. read more

Oh man. The guac here is the best in town! Real, thick, guacamole. Good rice and beans, great priced combos, quiet, and good waiters/waitresses. They even have $2 pints (not sure of the days/hours) but I mean - what's not to like about a $2 beer?! My boyfriend and I love this place! Their chips and salsa are so good - nice and spicy. Marinas is one of the best Mexican restaurants we've ever eaten with and we go there at least twice a month. They serve the BEST chile verde I've ever eaten anywhere. The beer is COLD & the salsa is amazing. My husband loves their taco salad with chicken & I prefer a bowl of the chile verde. The enchiladas are delicious, including the ones with shrimp. read more

I had never been to Marianna's but had driven by several times. I got a coupon from a circular for fajitas for 2 so my daughter and I decided to give it a try. I am really glad we did. The waitstaff were friendly, the food was excellent! This is now my go-to Mexican restaurant! The chips and salsa were superb, I think they make their own chips. The fajitas were delicious and the portions were more like for 4 people rather than 2, allowing us to take some home for later. Tried this place twice Food is okay, service is horrible. The blonde waitress with blue contacts is extremely rude. She acts like we are keeping her from going home and its only 6pm, they close at 9pm. Went with friends who had a dinner for two $27 coupon for fajitas. She ordered chicken and he order steak fajitas. I had a carnitas burrito and husband had tacos enchilada dinner. Part of our order came. one platter of chicken fajitas. and burrito and tacos When my friend asked where was the rest of the order. the steak fajitas, the waitress got really snappy. and said that is all you get. The coupon only comes with one skillet of fajitas. Why did she not explain this when he asked for steak. When we asked for another corona, they were out. This dinner came to $68 dollars. I had to go inside and ask for a refill on a water and the waitress acted like I was taking her last $20. Que Paso by the theaters is better food and kinder waitresses. read more

The food is always great! And the owner is very funny and nice. One of the girls who works here often ruins the dine-in experience. She was painting her nails one afternoon and the whole restaurant stank of nail polish. It gave me a headache and ruined my meal for me. Took my father for lunch here today around 3:30 and was treated horrible almost as soon as we sat down. The restaurant had one other patron but was otherwise completely empty. All of a sudden the owner or possibly the manager storms in asking who drives a Toyota. I speak up and say I do and he begins to scold my parking job. There was 1 other car in the parking lot and I was parked in a front diagonal spot. He claimed I was blocking the driveway. I calmly ask him if he would like me to move my car and he says well there's parking all over, you are blocking the driveway. I definitely was not blocking the driveway, in fact-he parked his car right along side mine. He drive a white Mercedes. He was extremely rude, did not handle the situation professionally and I just couldn't believe he was yelling about it in front of the restaurant. I ended up moving my car and didn't even get a thank you or kind word from him. He was a complete jerk and I will never eat here again. Horrible experience. Never going back. read more

The waitress there is the friendliest, hardest working and great at taking orders and making sure our drinks are re filled and she is just fun to chat with. Always greeted with a smile. We love Marina's. Any time I'm looking to indulge in some good Mexican food, or am in a grumpy mood and need some good food to cheer me up, we head to Marina's. I read some of the lower reviews and cant say I've had the same experience at all. The food seems reasonably priced, and it's always very fresh and flavorful. It's got the feel of a mom and pop restaurant, and the food to match. We'll continue going to Marina's for our date nights, and recommend you try Marina's Tostada! We took a chance when we saw this place after exiting 101 going to Morro Bay. The food was excellent and authentic. The service was friendly and attentive. The prices were very reasonable. The chips were warm and crispy, the salsa had great flavor with a very slight kick. They were so good that we had pretty much finished them before our dinner arrived. The tamales were big and tasty. The beef on my taco was tender and well seasoned. The beans and rice were yummy. I am already looking forward to bringing my husband here next time. This is a great little place. The food is excellent and well priced. Jerry and Alice are sweet genuine people who work very hard. If one gets to know Jerry, one is in for lots of fun....he is a hoot. One reviewer did not like the TV....Jerry will change stations when asked. He will even turn it down. I am personally not a fan of TV's in restaurants but am probably in the minority. If you are looking for a really fancy place, this is not it. If you are looking for good Mexican food in a charming, fun place, this is it. Just visited Marina's again during our annual trip to Morro Bay and Paso Robles and it didn't disappoint. (I'm surprised at all the poor reviews; but we always go at around 11am and are usually the only customers in the restaurant, so the service is always very good.) They have the freshest chips and really good salsa--not too oniony and not too hot (but not too mild either). I ordered my usual chicken chimichanga lunch special, and it was perfect. (In my previous review the special was $6.95; it's now $9.95, I think. But still worth it!) My husband and I are Mexican food mavens, and we love this place! Rave, rave, rave. read more

Honestly do not no how they stay in business. the last time we stopped we ordered a simple cheese Quesada with our beer.
