Chef Ted was extremely nice, as was everyone we encountered inside My Garden Nursery. We got the Corned Beef Flamini w/ Salad, Truffle Fries, and a Chocolate Chip Cookie. Located literally steps from the brewery, and with handy online ordering, this was a fun option for me and the dude as we watched the 'Hawks stroll to victories over the 49'ers and the Rams. The first game, we enjoyed the B'Ham and Cheese, featuring bacon, ham, cheese, and a toasty rosemary bread. In a word: YUM! Last game, we shared the Jalapeno Popper which was too spicy but in a good way. You know what I mean? Like you can't stop eating because it's too spicy and you have to take a few sips of beer between bites and you immediately crave another sandwich because it was sooooo good? And yet, so spicy? Speaking of beer, these sammies pair well with all of my Stemma faves. The Jalapeno Popper went especially well with Stemma's Mexican Lager, though the dude thought it was equally delish with his hazy IPA. Will we return for the Super Bowl and a grilled cheese trifecta? I've heard of El Pollo Feo, but hadn't had the chance to check 'em out until I recenty found myself drawn to K2 on a sunny Saturday afternoon. I ordered their basic smash, which was just $10 (a screaming deal in today's economy). I did pay for quite the generous $4 side of fries, too. It was allll so good. The smash burger was dripping with cheesy goodness, and the shoestring-style fries were perfectly crispy, salty, and a lovely accompaniment to the burger (and my Oktoberfest beer). I will most definitely be returning soon and trying one of their other burger options. They also have chicken burgers!

I gave it one more bite, and even the grilled onions were terribly flavored, how is that possible? Soggy bun, oversalted burger, super dry on the edges, awful flavor. I was worried I would be turned off burgers for life. Super sad to have to report this, but I'm somewhat of a burger expert. :( Update: I ordered the Mary Plain Blige on April 28, 2026

They are new, and they are likely still ironing out kinks...take this with a grain of salt. The food truck takes a little while, and we didn't get any food till around 4:30. They're new, ok, sure. I haven't had Spam Musubi since I was in Hilo in 2017. The rice was hard and tasted like it was undercooked, and it was cold. The spam was THIN and there wasn't a lot of flavor. However, the sauce they served it with was tasty. Could use more spice, but pretty good. We got the LocoMoco and the Chicken Katsu. It is NOT your typical Japanese or Filipino style katsu, it's a little overfried, but at least the rice was better. The LocoMoco is something you'd find for Hawaiian breakfast - egg, marinated beef patty, rice, gravy. It was a fairly chilly evening so I would assume that's why it was a bit cold, but otherwise it's ok. Whatever you order from them, be patient. Ask for the hot water sauce, and give them a berak since they're new. I look forward to trying them again this summer, so that I can write a proper review once they have it all figured out!

If you find yourself anywhere near the Tulip Festival, make sure this spot is on your list…read more During our weekend of tulip sightseeing, Stella Sopra ended up stealing the show. We came for the flowers, but this little food truck parked at Tulip Valley Winery delivered the kind of meal that sticks with you. There's something magical about pairing genuine, well-crafted Italian food with a flight of local wines. Chef Alberto runs the whole operation himself cooking, serving, sharing stories, and making you feel like you've been invited to Sunday lunch at his family's table in Italy. His passion shows in every bite. I've had plenty of eggplant parm over the years, but this one? Best I've ever eaten. Served in a simple plastic container yet unforgettable perfectly balanced sauce pasta cooked just right, and eggplant that was tender and full of flavor. My husband ordered the chicken mushroom ravioli, and I was tempted to sample half of it. Big, pillowy pasta filled with rich, savory goodness an absolute win! We also split a Caesar salad (because veggie balance is important) and ended on a high note with tiramisu. It was airy, creamy, and just espresso kissed enough to keep you going back for another spoonful. We lingered on the patio glass of wine in hand, soaking up the scenery and wondering how a food truck in the middle of tulip country had turned into one of our favorite dining experiences in ages. Although they had good flavor, a lot of them were burnt and over fried. They are quite small and not worth $2.50 each. There was one person in line and it did take 20 minutes to get my order which I didn't think was too long. Not much ambience as the food truck is between two buildings so you have to walk to get your view or take it to go, of course. I probably won't make it a regular stop.

I really want to like this place because the food is excellent, but customers shouldn't feel like an interruption when they're trying to place an order. I Googled it: "Aguachile negro is a bold, spicy Mexican seafood dish featuring raw, butterflied shrimp "cooked" in lime juice, blended with a dark, savory sauce made from roasted chiles, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and Maggi seasoning. Served cold with cucumber and red onion, it offers a deep umami flavor and intense heat, often topped with avocado." I'll say it's hot!!! A heat that grows and fills your whole head. The flavor is fantastic, and when I fished for a little raw prawn and put that thing in my mouth, I just thrilled.
