My #1 Steack House in the BX, rivals any other! 5 Star…read moreservice, Downtown vibe and food made to perfection. Transport yourself to Little Italy with a 5 min trip back home. WOW! A Premier Spot.

The lemon drop was outstanding, perfectly balanced and one of the best parts of the meal. The calamari was a 10/10: fresh, crispy, and very flavorful. The crab cake was also impressive, with about 99% crab and very little filler. For my entrée, I ordered the salmon. The fish itself was fresh and clearly high quality, but it lacked seasoning and flavor. It was also a little dry for my taste. The glaze was good and had a lot of potential, but there simply wasn't enough of it to bring the dish together. The broccoli rabe was well seasoned, perhaps even slightly over-seasoned, but it was quite bitter. The dish comes with asparagus and I don't eat that so I can't comment on the taste. On a positive note, my daughter thoroughly enjoyed her penne alla vodka. While not every dish was a home run, there were enough highlights to make the meal enjoyable. Combined with the excellent service, I would definitely return and give the restaurant another visit.

They're obviously famous for their steaks, but for the first time ever, we actually skipped the red meat because we were just craving other things--and honestly, the kitchen killed it. The Atmosphere & Energy1 We got there for an early dinner around 5:30 PM. It wasn't super crowded yet, but it still had a great energy with plenty of people there for happy hour. By the time we left, though, the place was totally filled up with couples and families, and the bar downstairs was absolutely packed. We love a good, lively ambiance, and that buzz in the room made the whole night feel like an event. The Views- We were sitting on the top floor, and even on a gray, misty Friday at dusk, the views of Van Cortlandt were so nice. There's something really relaxing about just watching the world pass by outside while you're tucked away with a good meal and a great crowd. The Food- The Swordfish was perfect--super fresh, meaty, and seasoned just right. It's a solid move if you want something heavy-hitting but not as intense as a ribeye. The Mac & Cheese is total comfort food (rich, creamy, with that golden crust), and the loaded baked potato was huge and hit the spot. Also, don't skip the bread basket--they serve it warmed up with soft butter, which is such a nice touch. The Service- The hospitality really made the night. We had great service tonight; the staff was on point and made our return visit feel special. Service was exceptional, and they made sure everything was smooth from start to finish. Such a great Friday night spot!

One of the most reprehensible and disturbing dining experiences of my life, I met for a family…read moredinner with my grandmother for my elderly great uncle's birthday. When I arrived the entire lower level was empty. When I found them, they were halfway up a steep 4 flights of stairs despite my uncle requiring a walker and my grandmother a cane-the hostess had apparently told them they must sit upstairs as the lower level was 'reserved'. Not only did they make no gesture to accommodate them in any other way, this is an EXTREME ADA violation, and could have very well been a lawsuit. The manager, Jimmy, sat and watched as both my grandmother and great uncle struggled to take the stairs, no hand of assistance. When I approached him, I was told 'what's the big deal, so you had to take some stairs'. I told him my uncle fell last year and was hospitalized for 6 months, if you see someone in a walker, why would you do this? His response 'I don't know what you want me to do, buy you a drink?'. Not only was their overall service awful and food barely edible, this is one of the most unaccommodating, disrespectful, and genuinely unsafe establishments I've ever been to.

I went to Home BX Steak for my 36th birthday dinner, and overall it was a mixed experience…read more The ambience is really cute--definitely a nice spot for a celebration or a night out. The service was also top tier. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure we were taken care of the entire time, which I really appreciated for a special occasion. As for the food, it was just okay. My steak had a bit more fat than I would've liked, and while it was still decent, it didn't fully meet my expectations. The drinks were on the sweeter side, which may be a plus for some, but weren't really my preference. My friends and family felt pretty similar--everyone said their food was okay, nothing bad, but nothing that really stood out. Overall, it's a cute spot with great service, but the food could definitely be better. I'd still consider going back for the vibe and maybe trying different menu items.

There really wasn't much to share with small kids so we settled on bacon - yes you read that right. They have bacon as an appetizer lol. It was ok - on the thicker side and a little greasy. I had the seafood pasta, others had the steak and the short ribs. The pasta was creamy and the steak was good. The short ribs I didn't care for the sauce it was cooked in. We also had pitchers of Sangria - we figured it would be cheaper than paying by glass but beware the pitchers are $110 each. The restaurant is not cheap but it's nice to have a more upscale restaurant on that side of The Bronx. I enjoyed it and wouldn't mind going back.

One of the staff was clearing the table and accidentally brushed against me, he barely touched me - he couldn't have been more apologetic. Very impressive, I assume management trained him and kudos to them for that! Food was next level! Calamari app was tasty, fresh, tender and delicious. I had the Filet of Sole and it was in an egg batter that was very tasty and perfect. I know it was good because my son had several bites! The Mediterranean salad had no tomatoes or cucumbers which is pretty standard in a Mediterranean salad. No bread came on the side. Typical Italian restaurants will always provide a bread on the side. The chicken was ok. The seafood pasta lacked flavor. It's as if the seafood was just boiled without lemon, butter, wine etc. it had no flavor ! I requested utensils and to go items (plates, napkins) and the ordered came with nothing. Big disappointment won't be returning.

We pull up, walk in and just stand for a bit as there isn't a hostess stand or hostess. The gentleman behind the bar then greats us and states we can't sit anywhere. After sitting for about 5mins my BF asks me if there's a QR code to scan because we still didn't have menus. I ask the same gentleman if there's a brunch menu and he then brings over menus. There isn't a brunch menu nor are bottomless mimosas offered. Even though what we were looking for wasn't available we decided to stay. The gentleman behind the bar was doing everything besides cooking LOL. He took our orders, served the food and made our drinks. A waitress didn't arrive until we were closing out our check. For apps we had beef empanadas and broiled clams. The clams were amazing!!! The sauce was amazing!!! For my meal I had the round steak w/ onions and my BF had the twin porkchops. The porkchops were some of the smallest I've ever seen to the point it didn't look like it was actually two. The porkchops were flavorful but he was still hungry after finishing the plate. I also had a whiskey sour which without a doubt was the BEST whiskey sour I've ever had. The gentleman that waited on us was very nice. With additional staff I think the experience would've been smoother.
