The ceviche was so fresh, and the meat in the lomo saltado was incredibly tender and flavorful. And our server was wonderful! My boss brought me here for lunch as he loves going to their other location. The little starter they bring is yummy- it's fried tiny pieces of fish with a green sauce. My boss ordered the pescado al macho and I got the lomo salteado. I am a Peruvian food lover so I have had this dish many times. While the serving size was good the meat didn't feel like the best quality. It was decent, I just have had better. My boss said the fish was dry. This is one of the early Peruvian restaurants in Broward county. It has been around for at least 30 years, when there were very few Peruvian places in the area. Their menu is not too extensive, but it includes most of the more traditional Peruvian dishes, and the quality is consistently good with reasonable prices. The plaza they are located at is old and kind of ran down, but the restaurant itself is kept very clean, has friendly service and welcoming atmosphere. I definitely recommend their ceviche and steamed mussels. Something I thought was a nice touch was that they prepare your Pisco Sour table side. This was my first time having Peruvian food and it was a pleasant surprise on my taste buds. An older unassuming restaurant from the outside with an updated interior. Service was friendly and prompt. While we didn't have any traditional ceviche, we did try the lomo saltado and chaufa which were both very tasty and full of flavor. I ordered the lomo saltado to go and was really disappointed with the portion of beef. The dish was mostly onions and tomatoes, with barely any meat. Lomo saltado is supposed to be a beef-focused dish, so this felt more like a veggie stir-fry. Definitely not what I expected for the price. read more

Ordered Leche de Tigre and Papa a la Huancaina through uber. Was very dissapointed. The portions were incredibly small compared to other peruvian restaurants and not worth the price for the Leche de Tigre. It wasn't even actually Leche de Tigre at all! It was a watery lime vinegar with barely two small cubes of fish in there and for some reason the fish was mashed. The Papa a la Huancaina was alright, the potato was a bit hard though and there was a strange liquid in the box with it not sure if it was supposed to be sauce. If it was sauce that is a very strange way of serving it. No reciept was included when I recieved my order so I have no idea if they gave me ceviche instead of my leche de tigre because that is certainly what it looks like. read more

This Peruvian place is amazing, I am so use to La Granja. This was a major up grade. We came during happy hour. Happy hour is M-F 4-8 everything on the menu 20% off. We ordered Jallea as an appetizer. It's fried seafood. It was so delicious. I got chicken friend rice as my entree because it was a high carb day for me. My wife got ceviche, it was sooo delicious. For all the food we had it was only about 40 bucks. Omg it was so much food and it was so delicious. The inside looks small cute and petite. The music is very mood setting. The menu is pretty big. Shared a fettuccini dish with a side dish of steak (tallarin huancaina con bistec). The pasta was cooked perfectly and the steak was lean. Service was very attentive while we enjoyed shrimp/fish ceviche, lomo saltado, potatoes with huancaina and seafood fried rice. Everyone else had already said it, but I, too, have been passing by this plaza that seems like ghost town. I figured, why not grab a brunch on a Thursday? It looked different inside, nicer and "posh-y" looking than expected. When I got to the door, the lunch specials were over it. I couldn't see the details, but I went with the one that had fish (fried flounder) as the main thing. I expected rice and there it was on a separate plate :) I didn't have to add their dipping sauce to anything except a little on the rice. The main dish was enough seasoning or a bit too salty without the sauces they provided. The rice and sweet potato, though, calmed my salty taste buds down lol I washed it down with their beer, which I normally don't drink, but felt good at the end with my meal. It was very light. The egg over it was also a nice touch. There's my omega and protein. It was a quiet day and a server and a cashier were attentive then. I was not asked if I wanted water, but instead to try their fish soup also if I was interested. I said, no thanks but once I finish eating I could also order some colada, my usual caffeine fix. Place all of a sudden got busier, so I waited longer... it was fine until I realized it's been half an hour, so I went up to the counter to ask for the colada to go. I came here for the first time after coming regularly almost 10 years ago. We came on a Sunday evening so there was only one table dining at the same time as us. The establishment seems to have been recently remodeled and was very clean. We ordered the yuca a la huanciana, lomo saltado (not pictured), and the ceviche de pescado. All were absolutely delicious, especially the lomo saltado. The only thing my boyfriend mentioned was usually the huanciana he is used to is served warm and drizzled over. This was more of a dipping sauce. Prices are extremely fair compared to other surrounding Peruvian restaurants, and our food was out less than 7 minutes after ordering! Just what we were looking for! South Florida has a whole bunch of Peruvian restaurants serving ceviche, but this one is our new favorite. Their ceviche was fresh, delicious, and best of all made spicy per our preference. The serving was ample, so much so that we had to leave with a to go container. They even gave us fresh sauces to take home with us. The meal started with an on the house fish consommé, followed by the ceviche mixto, fried yucca, and some Cusquena beers.
