Amazing restaraunt!! My friend and I decided to come here for a quick lunch and I was glad I chose a good location. We had 4 tacos each, and all of them came out hot, flavorful and fast. They serve salsa, cilantro and onions on the side and the horchata was delicious as well. The prices were very good and I will be coming back. Restaraunt was clean and the service was great too. Not very busy and no wait for a weds lunch.

Parrillada tizoncito - sampler taco place - very good

After a hard day of work, this little place had a lot to offer. Open late, fast and friendly service, not fancy at all but good food. Had their Parrillanda (sampler) plate - $15 - 4 tacos in a variety plus a quesadilla and some guac. Great selection when you dont want to make a decision. Tacos were very good - authentic - tasty and fast. Chips/salsa (the bellwether of all mexican restaurants) was excellent! I recommend this place for sure.

This little hole in the wall may be some of the best food I have had in a while. The service was great! Not overwhelming or hovering, but kept an eye on us and cleared the table as we steadily cleared through our dishes. It's so hard to find good food that's open super late- and isn't fast food. My boyfriend and I often share every meal so we can taste everything... and this is the first time our insatiable greed has overruled an unspoken rule. Absolutely delicious and can't recommend it enough!!! Can't wait to come back soon

We came here as a spur of the moment. A quick bite to eat and out the door we went. Their tacos were good (my usual go to - Pastor Tacos) but the flan definitely hit the spot. The service was subpar. I think he was annoyed with us and couldn't wait for us girls to leave. He mentioned some drinks to my friend, which she went with and unfortunately it was the most disgusting thing we tasted. Otherwise, tacos after a night out. You can't ever say no too.

I was in the mood for tacos and el tizoncito didn't disappoint. The food and service was really good. You can't go wrong with the alambre or the tacos. Agua de mango and michelada comes highly recommended. Guacamole was on point as well. I will definitely go back to try out other dishes. My wife daughter and I left very happy. Thanks tizoncito.

We came here on a hot summer day and we were pleasantly surprised of how good the food was. From the cold and perfectly sweetened horchata to the tacos, everything tasted amazing. Definitely get the pastor tacos with cheese, bacon and jalapeños grilled, personally I prefer to add quite a bit of the lime juice to cut through the meatiness and cheese, and also top with cilantro onions and the red salsa. Red salsa is much spicier than the green one. Both are really good. If I can ask for one more thing, I would just wish that they didn't keep the cilantro out for too long. You can tell when cilantro sits out and start to dry up and get wilted. Our waitress was very attentive and food came out within 10 minutes. The complimentary black bean soup was flavorful and light. Would definitely go back often!

The location of this place is a shopping center, so there's quite a bit of parking! I'm going to be honest this place doesn't look like much, but boy is everything top tier! Although, the staff mainly speaks Spanish they were all so kind and patient. The bathroom was clean. Anytime the stove/kitchen are visible it gives me a certain level of comfort because I can see the food being prepared! I ordered street tacos with corn tortillas and steak, so yummy! I ended up ordering 4 more... My mojito was perfect! And I ended up ordering another one of those as well... Although this place looks quite humble, I highly highly recommend it! I'll definitely be back

Visiting the DFW and found this place. Prompt service. Food was great. I had the Parrillada Tizon, my wife had the Gringa and my son had the chicken quesadilla. All of it was delicious! Salsas were amazing and spicy. Mangorita was pretty dang good too. Overall was very good and will definitely eat here again.

It's one of those nights when you are on the prowl For good authentic tacos and finally found one not too far from home. With all the great review we read on yelp we ended up here. Plenty of parking and only a few people sitting inside. It's a small place with several tables and 3 wait staffs. Our server was very nice and offers great services. We were served with a black beans bowl complimentary to your meal orders. A condiment trey comes with limes , hot and mild sauce , cilantro and onions. We ordered a tamarind/guava/mango margarita with salt rims around the glass that was full of tropical flavors. Also ordered the signature overnight brisket dishes and a couple of soft tacos which was amazing and delicious. Price are reasonable and affordable with great drinks . Services are good also. Would come Back again

The menudo they made for us since they ran out. My husband enjoy and it is spicy and well flavored.

Excellent service! This is a taco house so don't be surprised. You get the best black bean soup you will ever eat and delicious condiments when you sit down. They ran out of menudo when my husband got there but they were kind and made sure we got a small bowl after our dinner because she heard we came there specifically for the menudo. My husband loved it but just a warning that it is spicy. The street tacos were amazing and I highly recommend the green salsa. Red is good but hot.

Since the weather has been so nice lately, outdoor seating is super popular, so I'd recommend making a reservation if you can. Even though we didn't have one, they were still able to accommodate our group which we really appreciated. The service was amazing...everyone was so polite, attentive, and fast. Highly recommend for a nice lunch or dinner during the weekend. We'll definitely be coming back again!

I've had a ton of different food items the years, but their fajitas are their signature dish for a reason! It comes out sizzling, fresh, and delicious. Do not pass up on the bone marrow sauce, it transforms the dish to beyond a 10/10! The salsas are always good and then tortilla chips salty and fresh. I start with a skinny margarita w a salt rim, which was good. Our waiter, Abraham, was great! He was very attentive and was very knowledgeable about the menu. We also order the ceviche to start, which was yummy! The crackers were a bit of an odd pairing for me and I stuck with tortilla chips, but overall delicious!! My friend ordered the steak quesadilla and thought it was tasty too.

We hung out comfortably and had a couple of drinks before heading out. The food is amazing!! Obviously every dish is meat based here and it's cooked to perfection. Here in Texas, chips and salsa are such a commonplace experience it's off-putting to pay for them. We ordered the guacamole and the chips and salsa come with it, so that was, I guess, better...but the guacamole was $16, so there's that. The salsa was tasty as was the guacamole, but again, for the portion it's really not worth it. We had the queso flameado, which was yummy and the flour tortillas are good! We split the sirloin and were underwhelmed. For a grilled meats place the steak was very under seasoned and wasn't giving us fresh hot grilled vibes. Meh at best, as were the rice and beans. We ordered elote as a side and it was really the best thing we ate. Service was friendly and efficient! Cocktails average $16ish. Again, for the prices we expected better.

Chris our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. He took his time walking us through the menu and explaining what made El Carlos Elegante so special. The drinks were perfect. My wife loved her Desert Flor while I thoroughly enjoyed my Modelo Micheleda. Her Surf and Turf one hitter was exceptional. I have to say my Crab Cake was just ok. It tasted a little pasty and very heavy on the bread. The Pulpo was absolutely amazing. Perfect texture and the sauce it was served almost had me licking the plate. The El Machete was incredible from its presentation, to the freshness of the corn tortilla, to the quality of the meat inside. Definitely recommend this. We really liked our Okra + Shishito course, we just wished it had more okra in it. The two things I loved about the Al Pastor was of course the sauce it was served on but the fact that I got to enjoy it like a steak. It was served sliced on a bias like flank steak. Typically Al Pastor is finely chopped and served in tacos and burritos, so this was a different eating experience for me. And of course it was delicious as well. We cannot wait to come back and try more of the menu.

That visit checked every box -- the food, service, ambiance, and overall hospitality were all exceptional. What really stood out to me then was the attention to detail. I had casually mentioned that one of my cocktails wasn't quite my taste, and Harry personally reached out afterward to say they'd gladly adjust it next time. That kind of thoughtful follow-up leaves a lasting impression and is exactly the sort of hospitality that elevates a restaurant experience. Unfortunately, this recent visit felt like a completely different restaurant. We decided to do a combination of à la carte dishes along with the Experience menu after being told this version would feature entirely off-menu items, which genuinely intrigued us since Ihad also done the Experience previously. At the start of dinner, we were asked about allergies and dietary restrictions. I clearly explained that I have a mango allergy and do not eat beef. Our server then asked whether I ate other meats, and I clarified yes -- and even specifically mentioned that if the machete dish was beef, please still include it because my friend could enjoy it and I really wanted her to try it. He confirmed it would be the sirloin version, so we happily agreed not to modify that course. So imagine our surprise when one of the first dishes arrived dressed with a mango vinaigrette. Thankfully, we barely caught him quietly mentioning "mango" as he set it down. We immediately looked at each other thinking, "Didn't we just discuss the allergy?" It was disappointing, but unfortunately also representative of the overall service throughout the evening. Our server seemed disengaged, inattentive, and often not fully listening. Empty glasses sat untouched, opportunities to order additional items were missed, and at one point we were simply handed the check without even being asked if we wanted anything else. We also ordered a bottle of sparkling wine and ended up pouring it ourselves for most of the evening because our glasses were rarely refilled. I completely understand not leaving the bottle tableside if walkway space is limited, but repeatedly needing to get up ourselves to retrieve it felt out of sync with the level of service one expects from a Michelin-recommended restaurant -- especially at this price point. Then came the machete dish. Instead of the sirloin version we specifically discussed, we received the vegetarian potato version. When the server asked how it looked, I politely explained that we were disappointed because he had specifically told us it would be the sirloin preparation. At minimum, I would have expected another protein substitution given the earlier conversation about what I could eat. I'm also still unclear whether the Experience menu was truly "off-menu" as described, since several dishes -- including the halibut -- appeared familiar. Had that been communicated differently, we likely would have skipped the Experience altogether and simply curated our own meal. At the end of the night, spending over $500 while pouring our own wine, nearly being served an allergen we explicitly disclosed, and receiving dishes different from what was promised made for a deeply disappointing experience -- especially after such a phenomenal first visit. It honestly felt sad more than anything because I know how wonderful this restaurant can be. I'm not sure what changed in the last five months, but the difference was significant.
