My wife and I was just in there tonight for dinner. I ordered a Asada burrito, wet? Her taco salad was ok but not great. My food must have sat under the heat lamp for quite a while as the beans on my plate were scroched at the edges on the plate. There was very little steak meat in my burrito- Honestly, I did not eat it. I paid my bill and left. I woud not go back. The server was ok. 'll start by saying the food wasn't bad, but the service was ridiculously slow--especially considering the restaurant was nearly empty. We were seated and ordered almost immediately, including guacamole as an appetizer. By the time the guacamole arrived (after we had to remind the server that we ordered it), all the chips were gone. We asked for more, but then sat staring at the guacamole for over 15 minutes before finally getting up to ask again. Shortly after the second request, the chips arrived. After finishing the guacamole, we were still waiting for our meals--over an hour after placing our order. Again, I want to emphasize that the restaurant was not busy. At this point, my mom got up and looked toward the kitchen and saw what appeared to be around five cooks working. We decided it would be best to pay for what we had and leave, but of course, right then the food finally arrived. Since it had come out, we stayed and ate. Overall, while the food itself wasn't bad, the service was extremely slow and poorly handled. Because of that, I'm giving this location only two stars. It's been awhile since I've been to El Torito and I was trying to find a nice place to have a nice Brunch and I was not disappointed. The flavor of the food is authentic and there are a variety of options from menudo, pozole, huevos rancheros, hand made tortillas for tacos, ceviche, etc. The service by Ronaly was exceptional!!! One of my pet peeves about buffet style restaurants or brunches is how plates stack up or trying to find the waiter/waitress for refills, but Ronaly was on top of it! Quick to pick up plates and asking if we were ok. If you're in Corona and want some delicious breakfast with maybe a mimosa or four you need to try El Torito. The way the seating is arranged ambiance makes you feel like you're in your own private party. I will be returning soon! read more

Considering we live right up the hill and have been there many times, the bartender working the bar on Christmas day was TERRIBLE. Young lady, under 30 had NO clue on the importance of customer service. Started out by watching her stare at the register for an extended period of time, doing what? We asked for chips/salsa, a pretty easy thing to do. Offered two menus, we looked and were ready to order. After sitting there for awhile we got up and walked out. Bartender completely CLUELESS. Reading cheat sheets to pour drinks. Managers response? Its her first day working by herself. lol She has NO business being behind the bar. There's an older gentlemen that probably twice her age and can run circles around her. IF she is behind the bar when we come in, we will find another place to eat. She IS that bad. read more

Service is slow, coffee was cold, food is different, this used to be my go to el torito back in the day then I was reminded why I stopped coming to this location.
