Our group of 10 had a reservation for 12 pm on 12/14/25. We all arrived 15 minutes early. We kept being told the table would be ready soon. 12:15, 12:30 the staff said the party was not done yet. They had been there over two hours. 12:45 still no table. At 12:50 we called Mimi's the next-door or a table, and they seated as immediately. That means your staff let wine party. Sit at a table for almost 3 hours. That table could've been turned several times in those 3 Hours. We won't be back. read more

We ordered the TACO & MARG PARTY PACK to-go and had a gnat come with the marg... Very disappointing. We didn't even get to open it. We've ordered from here multiple times and the food is always good. However, they've been late with our food at pick up (even if we order hours in advance) and have forgotten sides which we didn't realize until we get home. In our experience, it's better to just eat there and not order to go. On a lighter note, the manager seems to care and offers a way to make it right. I've come to this location several times and I have the same concerns each time. We usually get seated right away and have our order taken right away, but the food takes a really long time most of the time. Which isn't that big of a deal since we do have chips and salsa to help with hunger. But then the service to flag down a waitress or waiter for anything else is almost impossible. Especially if you really want your bill so you can leave. I have no complaints on any personalities because everyone that works there has a great smile and is friendly. I just think they are seriously lacking in help at this location. The one thing that really makes me cringe at this location is when they do the buffet style breakfast. The biggest factor is when you place an order for eggs made your way, by writing it on a small paper. Then the waiter takes the paper to have the eggs made, and when you get your eggs, your paper is served in your eggs. Omg, I cannot stand that I know have a piece of paper that was probably touched by multiple people in my actual egg order. After that happened to me several times at this location, I stopped coming here for the buffet. Not to mention that something about the way the food on the buffet was set up seemed so wrong. The food just didn't seem appetizing to me. Besides the buffet issues, this place is clean when it comes to regular dinner service. I love the way this location looks with its ambience. Let me just start by saying, if silent treatment and sticky countertops are your thing, El Torito on Griffin Way might just be your new favorite hangout. Upon walking in, I was warmly ignored by a tall, thin man glued to his phone. No "hello," no "sit wherever," not even a head nod just screen time. I eventually found a seat myself at the bar and waited... and waited... until I finally had to ask him to come over. I guess customer service isn't part of his data plan. The bar counter? Sticky. Like it had dreams of being a flytrap. A leftover drink and napkins from whoever came before me. Love that for me. Now, to be fair once I flagged him down, the chips and salsa came out and I had zero complaints. The happy hour margarita? On point. Bacon-wrapped shrimp? So good it almost made me forget I was basically invisible to the only guy I saw. Shout out to the chef, because someone in that building actually gave a damn. Back to the server he clocked right back into his phone shift and left me napkin-less until I had to again interrupt his screen bonding time. When I finished eating, I sat there giving a full-blown "help me" face with a pile of dirty dishes in front of me while he casually socialized with a coworker coming on shift right in front of me. Romantic, honestly I guess? Eventually, another staff member rescued me, cleared the mess, and told phone-guy to get me my check. Teamwork makes the dream work, another guess? She would keep us waiting to order drinks and food even refills. Looks like she was occupied attending to a certain table of people she may have known.. food took a long time and parts of it was not hot.. it was warm.. the food was good but definitely is not the same as before it lost the quality and it was not worth what was paid. Been coming to this restaurant for years and we became regulars haha & we always take advantage of the soup/salad special. There's always a change in staff, some good & some ok.. When we go now we always get Idalia. She's the best! Always welcoming with a smile & that's how it's supposed to be! That smile and her service is what brings us back! Overall: 2.5-3 stars on average. We've come here a few times as it is closer than the other location but every time, probably once a month at this location something has been disappointing. Food: 2.5-3.5 stars. The rating is due to inconsistency. Sometimes the flavor is good and sometimes well, take for instance tonight some of the chips not only tasted stale but greasy stale. I love chips and their salsa is very good but some chips mixed in the basket of chips just tasted a little off and extra oily. Some didn't look extra oily but left an unpleasant taste. The food was warm on the hot plate and I wondered how long it was sitting there as some parts were cooled down (we did have to wait a while and they weren't busy on a Wednesday evening). Service: 2.5-3.5 on average. Tonight, the hostess (she didn't seem like main/regular waitress) served many tables and didn't bring us utensils for a while, brought us one thing at a time. Poor employee was perhaps not used to bringing extra napkins (as we never got them), all the checks at once (we received one check at a time and she collected one check at a time, rung us up incorrectly).
