My sister and I were craving Mexican food but didn't want the typical drive thru, and she found El Torito Loco on Yelp. They have an extensive menu, including breakfast all day! I ordered the shrimp enchiladas, and my sister had a two item combo plate. Both were served with rice and beans; and we were also given a basket of tortilla chips to share. They have a serve yourself salsa bar, which included all the fixings: mild, medium and hot salsa, radish, onions, cilantro, etc...My meal was tasty (enchiladas had shrimp in every bite!) and the salsas added a bit of extra flavor & heat. This was my first time trying their food and my go-to is always tacos. I ordered one shredded chicken and one shredded beef hard shell taco. The tacos are $3.70, which seems steep for a taco; HOWEVER, they do not skimp on the meat. Definitely worth the price. I also loved their salsa bar. A lot of Mexican food restaurants have pretty similar salsas but the ones I tried were pretty unique. It was a good compliment for the food and the side of fresh chips they provided. As far as the ambiance, it's a small, quaint location. They have music playing in the background. Staff is extremely friendly. I'll definitely be returning to try more. read more

I was craving enchiladas with a side of homestyle cooked refried beans and rice. Well, El Torito Loco came through and satisfied the craving. I ordered cheese enchiladas in a red sauce. The sauce was so satisfying. Delicious in every bit I took. The beans were almost as good as my grandmother's. The iced Jamaica drink added a delightful touch to the amazing food experience. We've been to this establishment more than a few times. In fact it's our spot to go in the Chino Spectrum for Mexican food. Today is taco Tuesday and they have a special on their tacos. We ordered two tacos Al Pastor And a Carne Asada burrito, a Horchata and a Mexican Coke, We've ordered many food items from the menu and have never been disappointed. Their food is very good Mexican home style . Big portions. The burritos are really big. The prices are reasonable the service courteous, friendly and fast. Not to be confused with "El Torito", which is a chain of much larger dine-in restaurants. "El Torito Loco" is an independent, "mom and pop" take-out taco shop located at Chino Spectrum Marketplace with a few tables for dining-in and a nice outdoor court which they share with several other eateries. A nice casual place for al fresco dining. My first impression was that they seem a bit on the pricey side, but I realize that the overhead in the Chino Spectrum must be astronomical, so it's not surprising that they don't sell their food dirt-cheap. The tacos are generous, meaty and flavorful. I'd say delicious. If you can show up on taco Tuesday, you'll get a great deal on some nice tacos. Even so, I've often let Curiosity get the better of me, and tried several other items, even on taco Tuesday. It's all been quite nice... I'll call this a class act. read more

A friend recently introduced me to this delicious Mexican restaurant. Claudia has been the nice and friendly person who has taken our order multiple times. I really appreciate the good service and attentive staff at this restaurant. The food is authentic and flavorful. The salsa station was a very nice surprise and it was always well stocked. I've since brought my sister to try it out and I even came back on my own to enjoy a couple of tacos. (See photos). At first when I walked in, it was empty & the cashier area seemed kind of dark. We ordered, sat & then the dinner rush came sweeping thru. That's a sign that this place is good...everyone in line ordered their favorites & then kept adding things on saying "it's all so good" or "I can't decide." I love all Mexican restaurants with shrimp btw. The nachos are shareable flavor explosions. They're so generous with the cheese on everything. Mixed fajitas make me feel like I got my protein intake for the day (& calories hehe) all in one sitting. The salsa station though...ugh. It wasn't very clean, no cilantro & onions could have been fresher. The mild and green salsas have good flavor but no spice. The spicy and spicier (I forgot what it said) are hot but have no flavor. Aye dios mio! Lol authentic food is RIGHT! Small intimate inside not a lot of seats but there's plenty of seating outside. This is the same parking lot where memes is so. Parking can be a problem but there are a lot of parking spots. If you want toast with your omelet they have white or wheat bread available. My breakfast was really good.
