I was angry because it was delicious. It was super busy during the early dinner hour. Lots of to-go order so it took time to get my delicious meal. Ambiance was nice with cool decor. If you want to be angry, come to this shop, and you will walk away angry. Hahaha. Joking. Both the cashier and service were super friendly and helpful in deciding on the spice level. My gods, this is a Nashville Hot Chicken joint. I've probably tried at least a dozen true hot chicken restaurants in my day and during those times I usually try the second hottest heat level. Sometimes that's extra hot, x-tra hot, very hot, or simply 4 flames. Whatever the next hottest level to the top one, that's where my tolerance any enjoyment align. Only two of those times did I have to admit defeat because it was much too hot for me. Angry Chickz was almost going to be my third. I reckon their x-tra hot level is comparable to the Reaper at Dave's Hot or 1930 at Clyde's. It's hot whatever it is. It was almost to the point of uncomfortable and not enjoyable. But I powered through it and now I know I'd probably be just a Hot guy here and leave those scorpion hot peppers off my chicken next time. The service was great. Everyone was friendly and got the line moving quickly. My only quibble was that they charge for extra sauces, where most places like Dave's just give you an extra on the house. It just smells a little of nickel and diming your customer and will probably be the main reason why I'll still choose Dave's over Angry Chickz. The space is great. There are a lots of seats, the place is sufficiently active, and it just has a good flow to the layout. All in all, it's a good addition to the Hot Chicken market with some truly fiery tenders. I got the mild chicken, and it was good with or without the sauce. The rice was good, and the coleslaw was a nice side. The only thing I didn't like was the mac and cheese, it just wasn't for me. Fries were mid also and the prices are a little on the expensive side, but the food is still good overall. I've definitely had better hot chicken, but this is still a solid spot to visit every once in a while. The staff was also really friendly, which made the experience even better. read more

So far, so great here. Chicken strips and sandwiches are really good, I was afraid with these hot chicken spots that they over salt everything and this wasn't the case here at all. When it's over salted a few bites and you're done, so you get to taste the flavoring. They also don't use artificial flavor and dye here so another major plus. I didn't go ultra spicy. heard a lot of hype about this place but it was just average to me. got the food to go so i understood the food wouldn't be super crispy, but the flavor isn't all that and the sauce is just okay. in comparison to hottie's before they closed down or dave's hot chicken, this place is just okay. for the price of $16, the tenders and fries are just okay. the store itself is well decorated and very big so there's lots of seating available. i got my order taken quickly and the workers are all very kind. the food took about 10-15 minutes to come out, and was also a little disappointed how it didn't stay hot for long so i wouldnt recommend getting take out here if you do. glad to have tried this place but would probably choose a different hot chicken place next time. read more

Wanted to try this place since it opened a few weeks ago wanted the crowds to die down before going. We went in for lunch today. It was not crowded, order was taken quickly and we decided to eat in. With all the workers they had standing around behind the counter on their phones at least one of them could've cleaned the tables. I had to ask someone to clean the table so we can sit and have lunch inside. We didn't have to wait too long for our food to come out, I got the Country level (no spice) tenders and my daughter got the Medium spiced tenders. Fries were crispy and the bread was good. Food wasn't out of this world, just another chicken spot. It was nice inside, the art on the walls were nice, just a chill spot. I'd go again but no rush haha. read more

Walked in and line was almost out the door which makes sense because the food looks good, ultimately did not want to wait that long for our food and their overpriced combo with no drink. Whoever is the manager needs to staff better and not leave one kid up on the front by himself while there is barely anyone in the back. Never been here before, but we heard great things about the food from our friends in Monterey Bay. Well, we were very disappointed with how the store was run. We went in on July 5th for dinner and it was a mad house. That's a testament to the good food, but there was only one employee up front. We waited 25 minutes to get our food. We saw other people wanting a refund to leave because they were so sick of waiting. Kudos to the young girl at the register. She kept her composure even though it looked to be a stressful situation handling this on her own, Our food ended up being pretty good, but not worth the 25 minute wait time. Today was opening day, and this place did not disappoint! My first time to an Angry Chickz the food was very fresh and very flavorful from the main entree to the sides 10/10. I do recommend if your baby about spice like me, either get the country or mild flavors even the mild was spicy for me, but the flavor was soo good! So to be honest, I have mixed reviews on angry chicks! It was all the hype on social media so we had to try it! Now mind you, I don't eat spicy food at all, but the people around me do. I did get the country which is two sandwiches. It was pretty big end up taking it home. My honest opinion and I feel really bad for saying this Cane's chicken taste way better! We got two meals that were medium, and they were still super hot and weren't finished. Come to find out they just didn't like it. Would I be back? I don't think so. The menu is pretty simple, which is good. But there's really nothing on there that's healthy. Their service was amazing. Everyone working there was friendly! There is space outside and inside to eat. The customer service was great and the one that would come around and clean tables was a sweetheart, and she kept checking on us if we needed anything to drink or if we wanted anything. Love having a new food option in the area. The place is clean and has a fun aesthetic, but very limited seating (especially for my family of five). The person that took our order was friendly and helpful. I like spicy food but she said the spice level is usually surprising to people so she recommended the regular hot (There were still two levels hotter). I'm glad she did because the chicken had a good kick but wasn't so spicy that it affected the taste. We each ordered combo meals but probably won't do that next time because the portions are a good size and the food is very heavy, so you need less food than you think.
