Food was decent, would rate it a 6/10 Had the fried sushi but did not take a picture.. I think it needed more flavor.. it was a lot of rice and I could taste too much of the oil. Wouldn't order again. Service was good, but we were there with almost no one else. Decorated very nice however It was hot inside the building..

I took my cousin here, visiting from Texas. It was my first time as well. The food was delicious, good portion. Service was awesome, the owner was attended and making sure we were comfortable and enjoying the food. Ambiance excellent.. I will come again and enjoy the delicious marisco. A big thank you to Luis. Excellent place to go.

Tried the Baja fish tacos, tostadas, and empanadas, and everything hit the spot! The Baja fish taco was my favorite--the fish was crispy, flavorful, and had me wishing I had ordered one more. The tostadas were fresh, delicious, and definitely something I'd recommend too. The empanadas were a great addition to the meal. The service was friendly, the restaurant was clean, and it wasn't busy when we stopped by, which made for a nice, relaxing lunch. Overall, a great experience, and I can't wait to come back and work my way through the rest of the menu!

I had time to kill. Found this place on Broadway and promenade way. Walked in and was greeted. We had the option to sit inside or outside. We chose to sit outside since it was a beautiful day. I like the fact when we were seated, we were given some tortilla chips and salsa to munch on while deciding what to order. We were not hungry, just wanted adult beverages. Ordered a michelada, cocktail and Paloma. Delivery was dissapointing. We waited 20 minutes to get our drinks. As the minutes continued, we ordered more beverages. Service started getting better! Our waitress would continue to check up on us to see if we wanted anything else to order. Big Kudos to Stefani for stepping it up! The menu had a lot of food to choose from. The decor inside was catchy and vibrant. Cool place to hang out either from the inside or outside. I am definitely coming back! Their Happy Hour drinks was fantastic! The food looked good. We even received free courtesy whiskey shots from a vendor. Kudos to that gentleman! Thanks!!

Great service, beautiful and spacious for groups, solid tacos at a fair price. But why does all the sushi have cheese in them? Overall had a really good experience. The service was excellent. The space is clean and beautifully decorated. I loved how the indoor dining room flows seamlessly into the patio, which makes it an easy place to bring guests. Didn't try the drinks, but they looked great and will be back for those. Food-wise, the empanada was good, and the fish tacos were great and felt like a solid value for the price. The only downside here was that the soda was surprisingly expensive ($5? For Diet Pepsi). The biggest letdown was the sushi menu. Nearly every roll includes cheese, except for the California roll and $17 for a California roll feels like too much considering CA rolls are "basic" Overall, excellent service, a great atmosphere, and strong tacos. I'd definitely come back for a group meal or to bring guests.

The ambiance and setting of this restaurant is nice. If you live in DTLB you should definitely check it out to see if it meets your groove. Located in the Promenade off of 2nd. Good friendly service. Clean, nice bar, TV there. Doors open to a nice patio. Probably can bring a small pet. Regular margaritas was so so. Seem very weak. Saw lots of other drinks go out that are dolled up with flowers and colored salt on the rims. Hope they are potent and tasy. Grilled octopus was very good albeit could be a bit crisper. Earlier pictures showed potatoes but ours came with a little rice. The spicy tuna roll was so so. Large in size, it seemed pre-rolled as the rice was too congealed and then the spicy tuna is dollopped on top - it is not in the roll.

We stopped by for lunch on a Saturday and it was empty, I don't know how. From the chips and salsa they bring out to the appetizer it was phenomenal. Best salsa I've ever had to be honest. We got the Sky Surf and Turf Roll and the Breaded Shrimp. It was all great. Not to mention location and the vibes were amazing with music and beautiful weather!

Lack of communication couldn't save my first marriage the same way the customer service lacked here.I brought my ex mother in law here mind you I don't like this woman. We were the only ones here apart from another table. Food took 40 mins to come out. They Couldn't remember what we ordered or bring out chopsticks for the sushi. Horchata was legit but overall the experience itself for not having any customers wasn't a great experience. The food was mid at best. The only grace I would say saved them was when the manager came to greeted us and apologized for the service being horrendous.

Ordered the shrimp and cheese empanada, the spicy tuna roll and the garlic octopus for two people. That ended up being plenty of food for two. My favorite thing was definitely the spicy tuna roll, followed by the empanada. The octopus was cut up as opposed to being more of a 'steak' which I think contributed a bit to a chewier texture. The ambience was nice and the service was great. Overall, it was a good experience and the cucumber margarita was delicious.

You must try their spicy tuna roll which is delicious. Another must try is their cheese and shrimp empanada. Their selection of cocktails is pretty big and on a separate menu. I tried the Cadillac margarita and and it was delicious. I will be back to try their aguachile.

My sister and I visited this past --our walnut salad was fresh, the Riesling hit perfectly, and the calamari came out with that golden crunch to die for. But our server... all we could say was Steve, Steve, Steve!!!! He took the cake! Talk about impeccable service and making you feel genuinely welcomed--that's an understatement. This was my second time here, and I've gotta say, I think this has officially become one of my all-time favorites. Downtown Long Beach has always had such a fun, foodie-filled atmosphere. I know some restaurants are struggling, but it's because they didn't have the same atmosphere & service. The food is great, but what really stands out to me are the PEOPLE. Even the servers who weren't serving our table intentionally, smiled, and said hello as they passed. I even remembered one of the servers from my last visit and her sister because they both have some of the most inviting personalities ever. That says a lot about the culture of a restaurant. We also had the opportunity to meet the new GM, which was another nice touch. Great food. Great ambience. GREAT people. And Steve,,,you're the best! 10/10. We'll definitely be back. Oh and to little sisters-- remember that big sister's rule.

A New Job, A New Milestone & A Chance to Rewrite the Narrative…read more My best friend and I have a tradition of celebrating new jobs with a nice dinner. Since this was her new job and a major milestone, I let her choose the restaurant. She had visited Bo-Beau last year but didn't get the full experience, so this was her chance to rewrite the narrative. And it was truly night and day. I researched the restaurant beforehand and was excited to see that Bo-Beau is part of the Cohn Restaurant Group, which I mostly associate with San Diego and South Orange County. After this experience, I really hope they're here to stay. I noted on our reservation that we were celebrating her new job, and for once, the restaurant actually read the note and acknowledged it. From the moment we walked in, the hospitality was excellent. The hostess welcomed us downstairs, another staff member greeted us when we reached the rooftop, and our server quickly followed up. Then came the surprise: complimentary champagne for both of us. It was such a thoughtful gesture, especially because those little celebratory touches seem to be increasingly rare. Our server was also patient with our questions and attentive throughout the evening without being intrusive. We spent about 2.5 hours enjoying dinner and catching up over: Baked Brie Brussels Sprouts Steak Frites Everything was flavorful, and the entire experience felt relaxed, peaceful, and worth the price point. The food was great, but the hospitality is what earned the 5 stars for me. Real hospitality is paying attention to the guest, recognizing the occasion, and making people feel genuinely welcomed. My best friend got the celebration she wanted -- and a much better Bo-Beau experience this time around. Will definitely be returning!
