I called to ask for a quote on how much it would be for an oil change for my Lexus nx and the guy was so honest and upfront that they would have to charge more because they don't carry what my car needs. I actually didn't originally request for a quote from Electron. But yelp sent out my quote request to multiple places (maybe I did this by mistake and selected the other 4 repair facilities) Chris answered my questions during the quoting process via Yelp app and responded quickly. One of my other quotes took 24 hours to respond or cost so much more even over the dealer's price! Well I'm glad I made that error because Chris at Electron totally fixed my 06 Tucson's AC. The dealer's price wasnt really that much more than Electron's BUT Chris was able to get my AC Compressor on the same day vs the dealer that would have taken 2-3 days unless I paid a 15% expedite fee. My AC now blows really cold air just in time for the summer and I can't be more pleased. Electron quoted me the price which they actually rounded up so when I paid the bill it was a little less! They told me they will be done by 2-3PM, and got my call at 2:30. At the end of the day I saved money and didnt have to suffer another day baking in my car! It is difficult to provide either a positive or negative review. I decided not to use this repair facility as it was not in my interest to have a diagnosis performed for a fee (even if it was deductable from the cost?). I know the status if the car as it has been serviced regularly and all I wanted was a center console (MFD) replaced or fixed. As other facilities were able to provide a quoted range, I decided to go elsewhere. I'd probably be happy to use this place if the circumstances were different. read more

They are awesome. Besides what all the other reviewers have said, which matched my experience, I also learned that their batteries and processes are so good, people (and other repair shops) try to steal them or swap out a bad one for one of theirs under the guise of warranty. So if you're looking around similar hybrid battery replacement shops, save yourself the time. March 10, 2020 called Electron evidently the 2010 prius 188k jumped to safe mode, the hybrid check system light on instrument cluster illuminates as I limp off Brookhurst( avg commute per day =68) March 11 @0800 hrs Prius arrives to Electron @ 1430 hrs diagnosis = blown head gasget and defective water pump Truly the head gasket conclusion was suspect, y? my experience tells me so showed no symptoms other then their discolored gas test. $100.00 for diagnosis and $2423.00 estimate. March 12 @0800 picked vehicle up sent to dealer diagnosis = defective water pump only plus change up headlamp lights and new radiator hoses = 1300$ bottom line dealer performed pressure check no blow head gasget At any rate conclusion for u to draw. read more

Electron Automotive is the ABSOLUTE best place to take your hybrid for macitence or repair. They also sell pre-used Hybrids as well!! I have been coming to Chris and his team for over 5 years and will never take my cars anywhere else. They are always so professional and take great care to make you feel like you are getting the best customer service experience possible. The pricing is a little bit more (remember this is a specialty shop) but you always get what you pay for. These guys really know their stuff. They take the time to walk you through each repair and charge, and why it is important for the work to be done on your car. My 2015 Honda Accord's LED headlights had gone out 4 times in 6 months. I had previously gotten my lights replaced at 3 other shops, but it kept happening. Electron Automotive ran a diagnostic exam, which showed no electrical issues with my car. Turns out the problem was the other shops were installing low quality LEDs. I cannot praise Chris and his team enough for how they took care of me and my car. I purchased a used vehicle with a warranty from a third party company . After almost a year of driving the car, I noticed that many things started going wrong with it. At first I took my vehicle to Tom Robbins Ford and after inspecting the car and contacting the warranty company, they told us hat our warranty covered NONE of the issues. I was so confused because we purchased the highest warranty and the problems involved parts that I felt were included in the warranty. The DAY BEFORE my warranty expired I was referred to Chris at Electron . Honestly I expected to be turned away because it was so last minute. However Chris was absolutely amazing and got right to work on getting in touch with the warranty company. As expected, at first the warranty company refused to cover the work, but Chris was relentless and insisted that they cover the work. LONG STORY short... Chris fixed EVERYTHING wrong with my vehicle, with all the expenses covered my warranty. This review is long overdue. I have been taking my Prius to Electron for a couple years now after Toyota of Orange wanted to charge me 700$ to replace the hybrid battery fan. Electron charged me 60$ instead to simply to clean it, and have had zero issues since. My girlfriend now also takes her car there. For a group of young guys/gals, everyone at Electron has been remarkably honest, respectful, and best of all, no one calls you "boss" when you walk through the door. Lastly, the best thing that Electron does is that they provide you a complete, itemized, online report of any issues with your car (including photos) ranked by priority. Allowing you to choose which repairs to do now and giving you a record of what needs to be done in the future. I got the dreaded triangle of death on my 2008 Toyota Prius. I called on Monday and made an appointment. They were able to fit me in on Wednesday at 10 AM the same week. I made the drive out to orange. I arrived and they started the diagnostics. Turns out I needed a hybrid battery installed. Just like that out with the old in with the new and 4 hours later and my car is driving great. I was thoroughly impressed with this business. They have a nice lounge area where you can make yourself comfortable, free beverages, phone charge station, big screen TV with Xbox and Hulu. Above all, the customer service was excellent. So since the whole Covid19 pandemic I've need to have my 2012 Prius plug in serviced. Just by coincidence I received a text from Joe at Electron Automotive stating that they had a good deals on the replacement parts needed for my vehicle and they would pick up my car within a 10 mile radius. I found Electron Automotive through a google search which lead me to their yelp page. Their 5 star rating and the positive reviews about Chris, the owner, and the customer service is what sold me. And of course the prices were good, fair and comparable if not better to other shops that i inquired about....but no one had as impeccable reviews like them. So i had to check it out for myself and Im glad I did. My moms 2007 prius 12V battery started dying out and needed to be replaced. My mom and I were always nervous that if anything ever went wrong with the car, it would be expensive cause its a hybrid. The battery was only $145 installed from Electron. Way cheaper than the dealership and i trusted them putting it in since they have the technology to do it. It also took them 30 minutes while I waited. Ive heard nightmares of people changing the battery themselves and the whole computer gets damaged. Battery came with a one year warranty for peace of mind. A couple months after, the main hybrid battery itself finally took a dump from normal wear and tear. Of course the panic set in, but Chris, the owner, gave me three options to choose from based off my budget. He went through the process and explained what is done when they rebuild these batteries. it was actually interesting cause i had no idea. So they rebuilt the hybrid battery for $999 and not a penny over. That included the diagnosis, parts, and labor. And again, a one year warranty for peace of mind. Toyota would've told me to buy a whole new battery pack which would have been almost $3000. I will definitely be taking my moms prius back to Electron every time, for any service because the customer service is A+. Im all about customer service especially when it comes to small shops. They also work fast! Chris is super nice, answers the phone every single time, and is just trustworthy. I never felt like I was getting ripped off or getting something I didn't need. I always feel that way after leaving the big brand name repair shops. Since my first visit in January and this time at the end March, their shop doubled in size. Obviously they are doing something right. If you still have any doubts...just call. You won't be disappointed! read more
