I came here twice, once for a check-up and a repair for my lower control arms. During each visit I showed my naivety. I know I gave Chris multiple opportunities to upsell me and he was honest each time. He would give me projected timelines that repairs would need to be made and was realistic with the needs instead of selling them to me. He was extremely knowledgeable and would explain the repairs to me rather than just saying this is what you need he would show me the issues and explained them to. This gave me a level of comfort that I did not find at other mechanics, where I am forced to blindly trust the need. At the time of my repair I was going on vacation and need some flexibility with drop-off and pick-up times of my car and Chris was more than willing to accommodate. The team here was fantastic, especially compared to the dealership. We normally pay about $40 for a standard oil change, but they recommended a synthetic oil change which was priced very well. Their office and waiting area is well kept and comfortable. Best part is, their team explained what needed to be done and didn't try to pad it with things that were unnecessary. I've gotten tired of Toyota service departments telling me something needs to be fixed, then I take it to another shop and they tell me that's not an issue or not as pressing. Anyway, they do a thorough inspection and clearly communicate if anything needs to be remedied and how much it will cost. Will definitely be back for future service. read more

Lifesaver! I really wish I could give more than five stars. I have a 2007 Camry Hybrid and needed a 12V battery replacement this morning after my car failed to start (I have been have issues with it recently so I knew it was inevitable). After calling around and realizing that my battery was difficult to find and $400-$500 through the dealership, I was referred to Electron Automotive. At the time I called them, my car was on as it was just jumped by AAA and I was nervous to turn it off. They confirmed they had my battery and I asked if I could bring it by and they made it work for me. Their waiting room has coffee and comfy chairs and everyone was so nice. They were dealing with some technical difficulties while I was there but the staff has a wonderful attitude and everyone was personable and friendly. The battery and installation price was about half of what the dealer charges and they offered a complimentary inspection as well. They text a link with a full breakdown of the inspection along with photos for every item as well, and then go over it with you as well. I was incredibly impressed. About a mile up the road after I left, new warning lights came on my dash and my car was hesitating and not accelerating properly; I wasn't able to drive it much further so I called them to see if I had any options to have them help me get the car back. Tyler and Mauricio arrived super quickly and helped me get my car out of the center divider and back to the shop. Had some funny technical issues along the way back -- at that point there was nothing to do but laugh about our luck. They checked the car out again and found a dirty sensor that resolved the issue and sent me back on my way. Tyler and Mauricio worked with me and my car today and I cannot thank them both enough for their help. I went back to work and passed along their information to a couple of coworkers after recounting my morning to them, as well. Since they specialize in hybrids, I'm sure I'll be back. I know I shouldn't be excited to have to return, but I feel like I'm in good hands now that I've found them. read more

I actually didn't originally request for a quote from Electron. But yelp sent out my quote request to multiple places (maybe I did this by mistake and selected the other 4 repair facilities) Chris answered my questions during the quoting process via Yelp app and responded quickly. One of my other quotes took 24 hours to respond or cost so much more even over the dealer's price! Well I'm glad I made that error because Chris at Electron totally fixed my 06 Tucson's AC. The dealer's price wasnt really that much more than Electron's BUT Chris was able to get my AC Compressor on the same day vs the dealer that would have taken 2-3 days unless I paid a 15% expedite fee. My AC now blows really cold air just in time for the summer and I can't be more pleased. Electron quoted me the price which they actually rounded up so when I paid the bill it was a little less! They told me they will be done by 2-3PM, and got my call at 2:30. At the end of the day I saved money and didnt have to suffer another day baking in my car! They are awesome. Besides what all the other reviewers have said, which matched my experience, I also learned that their batteries and processes are so good, people (and other repair shops) try to steal them or swap out a bad one for one of theirs under the guise of warranty. March 10, 2020 called Electron evidently the 2010 prius 188k jumped to safe mode, the hybrid check system light on instrument cluster illuminates as I limp off Brookhurst( avg commute per day =68) March 11 @0800 hrs Prius arrives to Electron @ 1430 hrs diagnosis = blown head gasget and defective water pump Truly the head gasket conclusion was suspect, y? my experience tells me so showed no symptoms other then their discolored gas test. $100.00 for diagnosis and $2423.00 estimate. March 12 @0800 picked vehicle up sent to dealer diagnosis = defective water pump only plus change up headlamp lights and new radiator hoses = 1300$ bottom line dealer performed pressure check no blow head gasget At any rate conclusion for u to draw. read more

It is difficult to provide either a positive or negative review. I decided not to use this repair facility as it was not in my interest to have a diagnosis performed for a fee (even if it was deductable from the cost?). I know the status if the car as it has been serviced regularly and all I wanted was a center console (MFD) replaced or fixed. As other facilities were able to provide a quoted range, I decided to go elsewhere. I'd probably be happy to use this place if the circumstances were different. read more

I have been coming to Chris and his team for over 5 years and will never take my cars anywhere else. My 2015 Honda Accord's LED headlights had gone out 4 times in 6 months. I had previously gotten my lights replaced at 3 other shops, but it kept happening. Electron Automotive ran a diagnostic exam, which showed no electrical issues with my car. Turns out the problem was the other shops were installing low quality LEDs. I cannot praise Chris and his team enough for how they took care of me and my car. I purchased a used vehicle with a warranty from a third party company . After almost a year of driving the car, I noticed that many things started going wrong with it. This review is long overdue. I have been taking my Prius to Electron for a couple years now after Toyota of Orange wanted to charge me 700$ to replace the hybrid battery fan. Electron charged me 60$ instead to simply to clean it, and have had zero issues since. My girlfriend now also takes her car there. For a group of young guys/gals, everyone at Electron has been remarkably honest, respectful, and best of all, no one calls you "boss" when you walk through the door. Lastly, the best thing that Electron does is that they provide you a complete, itemized, online report of any issues with your car (including photos) ranked by priority. I got the dreaded triangle of death on my 2008 Toyota Prius. I called on Monday and made an appointment. They were able to fit me in on Wednesday at 10 AM the same week. I made the drive out to orange. I arrived and they started the diagnostics. Turns out I needed a hybrid battery installed. Just like that out with the old in with the new and 4 hours later and my car is driving great. I was thoroughly impressed with this business. They have a nice lounge area where you can make yourself comfortable, free beverages, phone charge station, big screen TV with Xbox and Hulu. Above all, the customer service was excellent.
