Hard to judge. Burgers are good with grass fed beef and just the right size but fries have no crisp and very oily. They should not use olive oil and I wonder if it's even 100%. If you can't eat pork for any reason do not go to elevation burger!!!! Today is my second and last time at this elevation burger. I told her I have allergies to pork and ask them to kindly please change their gloves when preparing my sandwich the cook put bacon on another customer sandwich then she touch my burger. I refuse to take the sandwich and requested that they make me a new burger. then she use the same spatula for the bacon and for my burger. Last time I was there the owner or manger older man with curly salt and pepper hair was in the kitchen area with no gloves and proceeded to put the cheese on my burger separating the cheese with his nails. Both times I've been there and the ladies bathroom did not have soap to wash my hands which is an indication the employees when they use the bathroom they didn't have soap to wash their hands. Also the bathroom was not very clean. Definitely I will not go there again. They have issues with hygiene and issues preparing the order with consideration to allergies. read more

I love The Elevation Burger chain, so it pains me to write a bad review. This location is the worst of the 3 I've visited. The last 2 times I was there my fries were overdone and my veggie burger underdone. The service varies, but isn't as great as other locations I've visited. I get the same basic thing each visit- veggie burger number one and fries. For me, the Willow Grove location is much better. Of the handful of times I've visited this location I have been disappointed for all, but maybe one. It's the closest location to me, so I hope they can improve. read more

Been by for years and always wanted to try it out. I Entered the facility being one of two patrons in the building, stood at the counter for a few minutes and was ignored by the kitchen staff standing on their phones. I waited for the one female employee cleaning the floor in the dining room area to come over to great me and take my order. She was attentive and great. It only took about ten minutes for the food which is faster than I expected and I was on my way home to eat with my family. The food itself was sloppily thrown in the bag and grease and slop ended up soaking through. Being the only other person in the store when I got it , I would have expected the staff had plenty of time to take proper care of the order. We started to eat our burgers and fries, all of which were extremely greasy and wet. The burger was at best the flavor of a frozen bjs brand patty. I actually would prefer the bjs burger (10for $10.) All very disappointing. And for the 13 dollars we paid per burger was like a kick in the teeth. I don't think we will try this place again, I was really hoping for at least a good "shake shack" experience, but unfortunately , it's not there. Next time we will cross the street and get Red Robin to go, because all though it's not close to the best ....at least it's not a wet, over priced, bland grease mess. While making another pilgrimage to Movie Tavern last week, I noticed an E Burger so I decided to give it a try.Since I was going to Movie Tavern, I decided to just get a burger a la carte, so I can only review the burger here. I got the Elevation burger ( 2 patties) with cheese, bacon and raw onion. Total came to about $9." It better be good", I thought. The verdict... It was very good. meat was hot and juicy, the slab of cheddar was one of the best cheeses on a burger that I can remember. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed it...but not $9 enjoyed it. I can get a similarly good burger at Ruby Tuesday for the same price that includes fries. I was also a little disappointed that , with a great selection of sodas, cream and black cherry weren't available. Elevation Burger falls into the category of a special treat place, as opposed to a regular haunt. I'm still thinking about that slice of sharp cheddar on that burger. Only giving 3 stars because of the service. The employees were all smiles and very friendly. They were constantly walking around, wiping tables, asking customers if they were OK, and just generally keeping themselves busy. Which is unusual for a place these days run by teens. I was actually impressed that no one was standing around being a slacker. Sheesh....I'm def getting old. The food? Well, 2 burgers, fries, a soda and a milkshake was $20. My burger was good, albeit on the greasy side, and the real cheddar slice was a nice addition. But, it wasn't all that much better than what you'd get from 5 Guys and the like. A little tastier, but not by much. Fries were the shoestring style and not crisp at all. A little limp to be honest and LOADED with salt. However, my biggest "beef" with the joint was my milkshake. For $4, the least you can do is fill the cup near the top. Mine was a hair over 1/2 full of milky shakey goodness. Not cool, not cool at all. This coupled with the pathetic fries is why I'm not a happy camper right now. That and when you leave a place after eating a double cheeseburger, shake and some fries you shouldn't feel hungry. I have to say I'm impressed. I expected an atmosphere similar to McDonald's and was pleasantly surprised to get the opposite. Jakob served me at the counter with a smile and even made a few suggestions as I had expressed I'd never been here before. I ended up getting The Original burger with bacon, fancy fries and had to go back for a malt because I was so impressed. They delivered the food to me and other guests at the table and after a few minutes someone circled around to check that everything came out okay and to see if I needed anything else. This also happened another two times before I left. The counter and eating areas were incredibly clean and organized with ketchup on every table. The food itself was phenomenal! Incredible clean healthy burgers. I love it. Finally serving food the way it's meant to be made. I always get a veggie burger here with tons of toppings so it's loaded with flavor. The patty itself is mushy, so texture wise it could definitely use some improvement. The fries are fantastic. Thinly cut, lightly salted fries are the perfect side to the burger. I did come here once to support THON (amazing charity, look it up!) and we bought milkshakes. They were thick and loaded with so much stuff. My new favorite burger joint! The first time I went, was trying to be healthy, so I ordered the Veggie Burger #1, which is the non-vegan option and it was actually really tasty. There was some cheese (I think Mozzarella?) embedded in the actual burger which gave it some extra savory-ness. Next time, I would probably add a slice of cheddar to make it even better. The side salad, although it was very fresh, it was basically only iceberg lettuce with a slice of tomato. I would have preferred some field greens and perhaps some cucumbers or shredded carrots. Pretty much what you've come to expect from an alternative burger joint - read not McDonald's or Burger King. A handful of tasty toppings to have put on your burger and service that is fast and friendly. The burgers are delicious and extremely juicy which makes them messy to eat but it is definitely worth it. The only downer is that having the fries cooked in olive oil just doesn't work for me. They don't quite taste like I expect fries to taste so I guess even though I know it's healthier, I'm just too used to them being cooked in corn or vegetable oil. A bit pricey for a burger joint if you compare to fast food or even a upgraded burger joint like 5 Guys, if you ask me. However, their mantra is 100% organic grassfed meat and quality ingredients, so many may find a couple extra bucks acceptable to feel better about what they're eating. And let's face it, a couple restaurants offering healthier dining isn't a bad thing. I ordered from the top of the menu and got their signature Elevation burger, two patties with double cheese (real cheddar). I like to always order the most popular item when I try a new restaurant, and I also order it according to their "Original" toppings (Elevation sauce, pickle, lettuce and tomatoes). Also got the side of french fries and a "free" water. The total came to $9.20 overall, so on the pricey side for a burger and fries, no drink. The taste of the burger overall was good. Although they do not cook to order on the meat, I found my burger juicy throughout. Subtle seasoning was actually kind of nice compared to a 5 guys burger (although I am a sucker for slightly salty taste with burgers). The quality of the toppings were excellent, so they met their mantra there. The Elevation sauce is similar to a subtle Thousand Island dressing, so if you're into that sort of thing, go for it. Fries were decent, pencil fries cooked in 100% olive oil. My friend had some of the balsamic mustard which he raved about. The sauce was unusual to me, but I did like trying it; although I don't think I'd get it next time on the burgers or fries. So overall, very good experience. A bit pricey at $9.20. It compares mostly favorably to Five Guys, and it is in the same price range, possibly lower, which makes me wonder whether they will survive. First, they have a nice interior, it is much more restaurant-like than Five Guys. After you order, you sit down and they bring you your food. Second, their main ingredient, beef, is organic and grass-fed. Much more expensive than regular beef. And much tastier, by the way. Third, they seem to have more staff than they need. So their profit margins must be slim. I ordered a cheesburger with fries. You can select from several toppings just like Five Guys. I had caramelized onions. Yum. The burger was incredibly tasty and juicy and a bit greasy. I like greasy. The fries were matchstick, which I do not prefer. They are harder to eat and since they have more surface area, they have more oil. They are cooked in olive oil, which is ok. They were cooked nicely. The service was ok, but the people seemed to be not very happy. At Five Guys, they are always loud and friendly. Elevation offer a "make your own topping burger" delivery service, which was something different to our usual hoagies or pizza options. They were not only late, poor on communication of delivery status but the actual burgers themselves were so dry you could virtually choke on them. Went in with a couple of friends and found that it was quite decent. The burgers are less dry than what I've had at 5 guys. (The service was faster, too.) There IS such a thing as grass fed designation. If you've ever seen a corn-fed lot with thousands of cattle crammed into it, you would definitely remember! The grass fed "guys" (steers, not Holstein cows like the Chick-Filet mascots) run on an open range eating a variety of grasses, like nature intended, not force fed in lots on corn, which causes all sorts of digestive problems for "cows" aka cattle. Elevation Burger really does have better ingredients and unlike 5 Guys, I can get two or more burgers without the staff totally getting my order wrong. I usually go with the 2 patties with that amazingly thick and tasty cheddar, lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo. I keep it simple. Maybe some jalapenos. I had a malt once and really liked it; however I prefer to drink shakes as opposed to using a spoon, maybe that is just personal preference. I have tried the fries and they are great. After a morning out in Oaks, we stopped here for lunch before heading home on a Saturday. I'd never been, but knew they supposedly have decent veggie burgers, so I thought it would be a good, quick lunch. The place wasn't very crowded, and there was no line at all. I ordered the veggie burger 1 (there are two options), and added a couple of toppings. I appreciated the customization and the fact that there were two different veggie burgers for non-meat eaters. Our food (two burgers and a shared order of fries) came out very quickly, and we were both hungry, so the food didn't last long. My veggie burger was just ok - nothing fantastic, and I wish they had brown mustard for extra flavor instead of just yellow. The fries, cooked in olive oil, seemed a bit too heavy for me - they weren't light or crispy, despite being very thin. I didn't know Elevation had a socially-driven mission, but I enjoyed reading about their sustainability practices. We had no idea what to expect from this busy place with modern decor. We watched a machine pulverize whole potatoes into fries. It is a beautiful sight. We soon learned that everything is made fresh and cooked in olive oil. The burgers and fries are delicious! The prices are higher than your typical fast food or fast casual place, but you're paying for quality ingredients that leave you feeling invigorated. Elevation Burger is the Chipotle of burger joints. After chowing down on a burger, we feel like we can go run a mile. (Compared to other fast food burgers that make us feel sluggish.) Must be the organic, grass-fed, free-range beef. I was an organic skeptic at first, but I think the organic ingredients make a difference on how we feel afterwards. How often can you say "I feel full of energy" after eating a burger and fries? I am not a true believer in this "healthy option" of a burger. This burger is greasier than my Italian hair-do as a teenager! The amount of grease cannot be good; I truly believe you get less grease in a cheesesteak. Now I am not an organic food maniac, however I do enjoy the ability to eat healthier. The thing I like about Elevation Burger is that the food is very delicious and has a unique taste to it. The beef tastes like organic grass fed beef (yes it tastes different than your typical 80-20 blend). Anyone that cooks with grass-fed beef will admit that it will not hold up well for burgers, it simply falls apart too easily (because there isn't any fat in it). In order to keep a burger patty together, some type of fat must be added, I usually will only make chili or tacos with my grass fed beef. With that being said, I couldn't locate any information that Elevation Burger adds fat to their patties (olive oil is a fat; people). Just look at the wrapper or plate after you complete your next Elevation Burger, and I am sure you will see what I am talking about. I feel they aren't telling their consumers everything, this scares me. Ultimately this is why I marked my review this way, because I feel like they could explain why their "healthy" burgers discharge so much grease. I know the fries are made in olive oil, and my assumption is the burgers are made this way too. I really would hope that someone that has power at Elevation Burger would clarify why the grease is overwhelming on their burgers. Take or leave my speculations, let's look at this burger. The cheddar cheese tastes like something you get from a high end cheese shop, it is sharp and tastes like it is aged more than some of the children working behind the counter. The burgers are a must try, I like the fact that everything is fresh (organic is a plus). I believe that I am guilty like many other Americans for eating processed foods too often. I like pickles on my burger and these slices are huge, which is awesome. One good thing is they added bacon to their menu, before this I would actually go elsewhere since bacon is a standard option for a burger. I did try the bacon on my burger for the first time, and it is just as flavorful as the rest of the ingredients, I do think it could have been a bit crispier. Also I thought $1.59 to add bacon (2 small strips) to my sandwich was a bit steep, and I am still debating if it is worth it. The french fries are nothing to write home about; however they allow you to top your fries with any of the burger toppings. Sounds neat, but in reality cheese fries made from a slice of cheese is like putting hub caps on a Porsche. YOU NEED A CHEESE SAUCE PEOPLE!!!! Therefore the only topping that I would see fit is ketchup, and yes you will need it. The fries are definitely cut on site, but are about as greasy as the burger. If they had salt and vinegar or a cheese sauce I would be in heaven (in more ways than one). One thing I think everyone should experience at Elevation Burger is these cookies at the register. These little clumps of cookie dough/oatmeal/chocolate chips are fantastic. I wish they sold these things by the case. My opinion is skipping the fries and grab the cookies. Another thing they offer is milkshakes and ice cream, this is awesome and if you read any other of my reviews, I think it is an essential for a burger joint. Unfortunately, I haven't tried either of these here, I believe the reason to blame is a kiwi in the same shopping center. I've been here a few times and every time it is fantastic. They pride themselves in using high quality and organic ingredients and it makes a difference. The bun is a good size and doesn't over power the burger. The fries are thin and crispy which I personally prefer to big steak fries. In addition to the regular menu they also carry grapes and mandarin oranges available as sides. They also have an excellent selection of non alcoholic beverages. I loves these options since I'm not a big soda drinker and I have young kids. They even carry a healthy variety of juice pouches for kids. Since the burgers come with two patties I normally just get one regular sized burger and split it between my two kids instead of buying two kid burgers. Probably my favorite semi chain burger joint, easily a notch above 5 Guys who most east coast burger enthusiasts will compare them to. Elevation Burger really does have better ingredients and unlike 5 Guys, I can get two or more burgers without the staff totally getting my order wrong. But enough about 5 guys... I usually go with the caramelized onions and hot pepper relish, along with cheddar cheese, now that is a tasty burger! As a non soda drinker, I really enjoy the orange cinnamon iced tea, although I have been tempted by the root beer, made with real cane sugar. I did try a shake once and it was a bit thick, but very good overall. I prefer to drink shakes as opposed to using a spoon, maybe that is just personal preference. I have tried the fries and they are great. I love how thin they are compared to most other fresh cut fries. The service could be a bit faster, but I have never left disappointed. read more
