For starters, this venue only seats 25 ish people at a time, so be prepared to wait in a long line on peak nights. Pretty sure my party waited at least 30 if not 45 min. Also if you're bigger than a party of 4, there's really no guarantee you'll be seated all together so might be better off to buy a front of the line reservation pass. Also the booths and tables are extremely uncomfortable, tight for 4 people, and the music/lighting is extremely sleepy. Once you're inside the library room, they lock your phone up in a Yonder bag so you can't take photos/videos of your cool cocktails which is also super lame for us Yelpers. Not sure how some of these folks got photos inside the bar based on some photos I've seen online. Then the host/hostess takes you inside to the bar which is dimly lit and definitely feels very prohibition era, including the music which was a bit sleepy. Once seated, you send one person from your party up to the bar to order drinks which I found to be kind of annoying considering I could barely even get out of my seat. I got the Sesamiso which was presented with a cloche smoker which was very much a showstopper and I wish I had a video of it. I appreciated the interesting flavor combo of rye whiskey, miso, and sesame oil, but in all honesty I've had better Smokey old fashioned cocktails with unique flavor profiles while living in Vegas. Might be worth the wait for most to experience once, but I'm in no rush to head back to 1122.

I really wanted to love this speakeasy, but unfortunately it truly wasn't worth the time or money. We arrived a bit after they opened at 5pm and waited in line for nearly 45 mins before being let in. Cocktail prices averaged at around $18 each but they were just not good. The highlight was the cute, christmasy decor and fun holiday mugs. But again, just not worth the wait or money.

There are places you visit, and then there are places you are admitted. Eleven Twenty-Two belongs firmly to the latter. Tucked discreetly in Paso Robles, modest in size yet vast in presence, this speakeasy feels less like a bar and more like a carefully kept secret--one passed quietly between those who appreciate precision, patience, and a properly made drink. On the evening we arrived, the bar was dressed for the season. Christmas lights glowed warmly against dark wood and polished surfaces, casting a gentle shimmer across the room. Hats, sweaters, and festive cheer filled the air, yet nothing felt loud or careless. It was celebration with restraint. Merriment with manners. Because the space is small--and intentionally so--time here is measured. One hour. Two or three drinks. Then, graciously, you pass the torch so others may partake. It's a system rooted not in limitation, but in courtesy. A reminder that elegance is often maintained by knowing when to step aside. Music floated through the room like a well-chosen companion--neither commanding nor absent. Contemporary notes brushed against something older, something refined, as if the playlist itself were having a polite conversation across decades. It felt timeless. Appropriate. Exactly right. The drinks, however, are where Eleven Twenty-Two reveals its true character. One cocktail arrived in a ceramic dinosaur mug--festive, playful, and surprisingly dignified. A holiday creation layered with vodka, crème de cacao, and other winter comforts best left to mystery. It was balanced, thoughtful, and quietly indulgent. The kind of drink that doesn't announce itself, but rewards attention. Then came the moment everyone remembers. The Dire Wolf. Prepared with walnut bitters, maple brown sugar, cinnamon, and deep Whiskey Rye warmth, it arrived not simply as a drink but as a ceremony. A glass cloche was placed gently over the vessel, ignited smoke curling upward like a whispered spell. The cloche lifted. The aroma bloomed. The room seemed to pause. It was theatre, yes--but disciplined theatre. No excess. No flourish without purpose. Just enough smoke to perfume the moment, to remind you that craft can still surprise when handled with restraint. The Dire Wolf was bold yet composed, warming without heaviness, a drink that lingered in both hand and memory. What made the evening truly special, though, was not only what was poured--but who shared the space. Guests arrived on either side of us, and conversation sparked easily. Locals, travelers, visitors from Los Angeles, guests from out of state--all gathered shoulder to shoulder, united by curiosity and good spirits. There was laughter, genuine exchange, and that rare feeling of communal ease. Strangers becoming acquaintances, if only for an hour, in a room that seemed designed for precisely that purpose. The staff moved with quiet authority. Professional, attentive, deeply knowledgeable. They spoke with confidence but never ego, guiding the experience rather than performing it. You could sense pride in their work--not loud pride, but the kind that comes from mastery practiced daily. By the time our hour came to a close, we felt not rushed, but complete. As though the evening had unfolded exactly as intended. Eleven Twenty-Two is not a place for excess. It is a place for intention. For measured delight. For craft elevated to ritual. In a world increasingly fond of noise, Eleven Twenty-Two chooses poise. And in doing so, it offers one of the most memorable hours Paso Robles has to give--especially in winter, when warmth matters most. If you are fortunate enough to be admitted, step inside. Raise a glass. And allow time--brief as it may be--to do what it does best.

We made a reservation for this place on a Wednesday evening, and it turned out to be a bit less packed because it was a weekday. Like what most have shared, this is a cute speakeasy with the 1920ish prohibition era vibes. No phones, they sealed it in a pouch that you hold onto, and once you're done, they unlock it at the front. There were 3-4 bartenders, dressed all fancy. They have a long list of drinks to try out. A place to try. Very chill and private.

Waited outside for 15 minutes, when we got inside after a lecture about a 1 hour max visit that would include a 20 minute warning to leave. Upon entering we saw the bar top was empty and about 9 other patrons were on sofas. So much for being busy, insert eye roll here. The drinks were $18 and ridiculously minuscule. The staff was very unfriendly and cold. Not so much as a smile or courteous gesture from any of the staff. You could hear them sh*t talking about the customers behind the bar. The bar top consists of sitting on a pinhead style seat that is fixed to the floor, which is very uncomfortable. I gave it a one star for originality, but I would never go back to this place again, I absolutely do not recommend this place.

After our dinner at Hatch, we asked for bar recommendations from two people, and both times they suggested 1122. I already had it bookmarked on my Yelp list, but I did not plan ahead and did not make a reservation, so I was not sure how it would go. We decided to just walk over and see if we could get in. To get to the speakeasy, you walk down an alley and find it tucked in the back, with large, cute fire lanterns marking the entrance. We arrived around 7:30, and there were a few people in line. We asked if walk ins were allowed, and the host let us know they are always welcome; you just have to wait. We only waited about 10 minutes to get in. They will check your ID, even if you look old enough, and they do verify that it is valid and not expired. So be sure to bring it with you. (Not typically an issue for the younger crowd, but I sometimes leave mine behind if I am not driving, and I look 100; so just a heads up!) When you walk in, the foyer and introduction area are adorable. They open a bookcase to bring you into the main area, which is small, quaint, and full of charming details. The vibe is warm and cozy, and they really commit to the whole 1920's experience. They do collect your phone and seal it in a small bag, so you cannot take pictures; just capture the moments mentally. We have been to several speakeasies, and sometimes the drinks can feel a little too intense; either overly alcoholic, too bitter, or too unusual. But my drink, the NTS, was perfect! It was the most balanced drink I have ever had; not too sweet and not too bitter. It was absolutely beautiful and delicious. Even the bathrooms were adorable and super clean. The only thing to note is that this speakeasy felt a bit more open than others we have been to; it was not quite as hidden or underground in feel. Still, I would absolutely recommend this place to both visitors and locals. It was a great experience from start to finish.

No wait on a Wednesday evening for 2 around 9 PM. The bar had a bunch of Halloween decors which was fun! The drinks were slightly on the sweeter side but still a good break from all the wine tasting in Paso Robles!

This was our 3rd visit to Paso this year, and we (along with another couple) ALWAYS make 1122 a MUST stop during our weekend. Matt, the door man always has a smile and makes you feel welcomed. Matt, behind the bar (we love that guy) makes great conversation and drinks. This last trip, we had the pleasure of being served by Annie, she's so nice, however we felt like there's room for improvement on her cocktails. Maybe we're just used to having Matt tend for us, not sure. But regardless, 1122 will always be a stop for us when in Paso. And side note, the NO phone policy is much appreciated.

Intimate speakeasy with delicious drinks! It's located in the alley behind Pappy McGregors. I highly suggest going right when they open or make a reservation as there is limited seating. When you enter, you're brought into a small room that looks like a library. You can have a photo taken in that room, but after that your phones are locked up in a bag for the duration of your visit. As you leave, the staff will unlock the bag. You order drinks at either end of the bar and someone brings your drinks. First speakeasy I've had to do that at. They do not let you split the bill so plan on one card for the tab.

We were walking around the downtown area and stopped in. You can make a reservation or walk in. The wait was about 25 min till we were escorted in. Your phones will be put into a lock bag but held by you during your stay. Sorry no inside picks were allowed. Interior was a perfect setting. Nice selection of cocktails. Just note you will need to order at the counter. Then your selections will be brought over. Service was friendly and informative. You will need to notify the staff if you need to use the restroom and want to return inside to your seat. Luv the experience of finding new speakeasies.

1122 is such a great spot for late night vibes and awesome craft cocktails. This was our second time visiting the speakeasy, and we'll make it a point to get a reservation each time we visit Paso Robles. It's that good! Very cozy, only about 20-25ppl max capacity. The bar decor is full of bottles, which is appropriate, as you can order your fave go-to drink or choose from their featured cocktail menu(leather bound, of course) there's usually no phone policy, but we visited on a nite where that wasn't the case. We tried the Whiskey Sour, classic Old Fashioned, Butter Pecan Old Fashioned, and Manhattan. Each about $18 or so. Each drink was amazing, I particularly thought the butter pecan had a sweet addition that was pleasant without being overpowering. Service is as speedy as possible, their hand making each cocktail, so order at the bar, and chat til they deliver it to you. A 90 minute max for your table, but do t worry, that's plenty for a couple drinks, conversation, and a great experience for all!

Best to come here for pre-dinner drinks, but don't let that deter you from ending an epic day of wine tasting with one of their craft cocktails. The bartenders are knowledgeable and friendly. Watching the steps that go into each drink is half the experience, old sport. read more

Eleven Twenty-Two was everything we wanted it to be, and more. Expertly crafted cocktails by Matt and company, cell phone free environment (you put it in a magnetic pouch and have it on you at all times), excellent music, and an entertaining view at the bar. We loved watching them work while enjoying a key lime fizz and butter pecan old fashion. We arrived at 5:00 without a reservation, and were seated within a few minutes. It makes sense to have a 90 minute time limit to allow more people time to enjoy the experience. Absolutely nothing to complain about, and we'll be back every time we visit Paso. Very Original. Great place to have a drink or two. Now I know where to go when I am in town for wine tasting, but want to get an OLD FASHION drink. Bartenders very knowledge on how to make their drinks, or you can call them DRINK (BAR) CHEMIST. Highly recommend this place. read more

My husband found this place on yelp and we have been to a couple of other speakeasies. Wanted to try this one as we knew it was new. I am torn between giving it a 3 or 4 star review. It was easy to find and there was a wait. We had to put our name on a list and they said they would text us. This process seemed confusing. They texted the party, and the party had 10 m to get back to them. If after those ten minutes, they didn't come a new party could be texted. But when we came back, having received no text, the door man had like 10 little pieces of paper in his hand and he couldn't really keep straight who was next. Then the door person from inside came out and she couldn't really make sense of his little papers either. They were both very nice but I think this process could be streamlined. And I think the only reason we actually got in was because we came back and we were just standing there. Once in, it is not a speakeasy. It is a dim lighted bar. It is very loud inside. It was a Saturday night and it was full but there was no one explaining it was a speakeasy. All they told us to do was not to take phone calls. It wouldn't have mattered as the inside was so loud, phone calls wouldn't have been that much louder. The drinks were good and they don't mix them at your table, but they finish them at your table by bringing over the little cart. That was cool and the drinks were creative. But the ambiance is lacking and you can hear the loud music from Pappys. This also lessens the allure. If they could have you walk out the front door to exit, that would be better. I think it has potential but it needs to work a little more on its ambiance and brand. read more

Was introduced to this place by my Aunt and Uncle. Came here pre COVID and the table side service was a great experience, the ambiance was definitely a plus. Now, that we are still in COVID status this place has changed to me. No table side service, cell phones are locked up in this little pouch that you can keep with you, if you need to use the phone they will unlock it for you so you can go outside to use it. There is also a 90 minute limit (if there isn't a line outside) which is a catch 22 cause I went there with 5 other people and we ordered 2 rounds of drinks. The host told us since there wasn't a line outside we can stay and have another drink, so of course we ordered another round. Obviously the drinks take a long minute or two to make 5 craft drinks..........the host came back and told us we needed to wrap things up cause there was a line outside........RUDE........ummm just ordered another round and we were definitely taking our time drinking them. The host came back and said our time was up. Luckily us ladies were finishing our drinks and closing out our tab. Not sure if i'll be back, just seemed too rushed at the end especially after we were told to order another drink "since there wasn't a line." read more

Very cool concept if you are okay with waiting. We went on a Thursday afternoon around 6 pm and had to wait in line about 25 minutes. The drinks inside and ambiance are very different than your traditional cocktail bar. In true speakeasy style, they put your phones in locked bags while you are inside the bar. Would be fun with a bigger group I think and to stay for more than one drink. read more

Really enjoyed going here for a cocktail the other night. When you arrive, there are two gas lanterns and a speakeasy style door. Ring the doorbell and wait for the hostess to answer. You tell them how many are in your party and they come back shortly to walk you to your seats. The interior is very elegant. Nice wood, gold fixtures and utensils, and a huge marble or granite bar top. It can only hold 30 or so people so you get a very intimate experience. The bartenders are great and super knowledgable on the wealth of high-end whiskeys they carry. We got a whiskey and one of their signature cocktails, for which the show the bartender put on with dry ice and all was almost worth the price of the drinks. Great place to stop for a drink, especially on date night. read more

Everything has pretty much been said. Drinks: 5/5 No Food. Sometimes a long wait. Accepts groups of 6 or less. Your whole party must be there before you are allowed to enter. No cell phones (for the most part, they have an area you can make emergency calls) History of the cocktails are groovy.... annnnnnnd they have Pappy Van Winkle people! Pappy Van freaking Winkle. A review below complained about the exit...I think you can also exit back into the alley. And when my group was here, they were not playing hip hop. read more

Amazing ambiance and drinks. The old fashioned was the best I've ever had. We had the bourbon lift as well and I cannot recommend this place enough. Jesse the doorman gave great recommendations and was a blast to talk to. If you're in the Paso area, this is a must as every drink our party had was 10/10. I will be going back every time we're in the area. read more

First time in one of these. We were told there was a speakeasy in the back by a waiter at Pappys. The presentation was great and the drinks were delishhh. Would definitely recommend to anyone coming into Paso Robles. It seems to be more of a locals spot. Great experience read more

Had such a great time here last evening, rough start as ourselves and another customer waited outside as there were zero seats and they were short a bartender. Our fellow customer gave up immediately but we decided we'd wait 5 minutes for what might be a unique experience and we were so glad we did. The cocktails are exciting and well-crafted. The service was excellent, Christian took great care of us. All in all a terrific end to the night. read more

Worth the wait in line! Yes, there was a bit of a wait to get it, but once inside, it's a delight. I love that they're not cramming as many folks as possible in at one time--I could actually hear my husband in a normal speaking voice, and I can't remember the last time that was the case at a bar. The bartenders are helpful, creative, and will answer all your questions without making you feel like an idiot, or annoying. The cocktails themselves were exactly what I was hoping for, and I had fun trying a couple things that were outside my usual fare of negronis and dirty martinis. Ambiance wise, they've clearly thought through and carefully chosen all the details--it's beautifully done. From the marble bar top, to the wood finishes in the restroom, it feels more like a luxury experience than you'd imagine from the outside. I wish we had something this nice in San Luis Obispo, but it seems like these days Paso is catering more to my demographic. Between this and Somm's Kitchen, Paso outshines SLO by far. read more

This place is legit! The drinks are crafted ON POINT. Try a drink on their menu or let them concoct something and surprise you. You can't go wrong! We had an incident happen where it wasn't even their fault and they more than made it right. Hospitality is at the forefront here. Scott was amazing! read more

Eleven Twenty Two is an unexpected pleasure. Think; Bourbon & Branch, Bond Bar, etc., San Francisco, LA.. Intamate, quaint bar on a back street with little signage. Tony, Christian, Matt and the rest of the tenders are the most knowegable, passionate bar tenders around. They love to share what they're thinking and doing to create your cocktail. I can't wait to return for an always amazing experience. read more

One of the coolest speakeasy bars I've been to. I showed up without a reservation on a Friday night and waited 20 minutes. The lock up your phone which is a little weird since it's not that special inside, looks like any other kid century modern bar. The drinks were on the sweeter side. I order an old fashioned and a little heavy on the bitters and simple syrup. It's definitely a cool spot for an experience, but one and done. read more

Stood in line for over 40 minutes at a place in Paso Robles. At first I was not impressed there is no $20 drink worth the wait like that. But... drinks were very reasonable and amazing atmosphere. We'll be back! Christian knew exactly what we would want! Thank you read more

This place is great and if you want a cocktail made by experts this is the place. It is like watching amazing bartenders creating drinks for just you. Matt made me a drink he just came up with. It was perfect and fit my palette. One thing you need to do while in paso. Please make sure you give a tip as these guys are truly showman and worth a large gratuity. Like a theater performance. read more

Work at a cocktail bar myself and I must say I fell in love with this place. Went in Saturday night and just had to come back Sunday night. Patrick's service and appreciation for whiskey made me come back. Definitely would be here every night if I lived in the area. Definitely recommend this place of you appreciate cocktails and whiskey. We visited on a Saturday around 5:15. We waited in line until 6:30. Was a very long wait but well worth it. Once you are escorted inside there's a curtain directly inside the door that's pulled back to reveal the bar. The decor is fantastic, very 1920's, including the staff and bartenders... down to the handlebar mustache! I ordered a Connery Row which was unlike any cocktail I'd ever had and was amazing. My second drink was a Chai Marngac which was really good as well. Bartenders are very knowledgeable and accommodating. Fantastic experience, well worth the wait and will definitely return. read more

We finally remembered this place and decided to check it out for the first time. We showed up around 7ish on a Saturday and there a was line to get in but it went fairly quick. There were standing heaters outside but only one had propane in it. Once inside we received our rules and instructions on how to order at the bar and were on our way. For such a small space, it was pretty impressive. I'm certain you could order the most unusual drink and they would have the ingredients for it. It was dark, a little loud but I loved it. No TVs is rarity that I enjoyed. Atmosphere was chill and I like that they control how many people are in there. We'll probably come back. read more

Really cool vibe and experience. The drinks were soooo yummy !! We are heading back to Paso Robles for another round of wine tasting but cutting our day short just to hand out at Eleven Twenty/Two and I can hardly wait for my old fashion!! I hope they still have the pecan butter rum !! read more

We were greeted by a bristly employee who told us our reservation was on the "cancel list". I showed him my confirmation from Tock. We never even got in the door as our 61 year old companion did not have her ID with her. Really unfriendly place. Highly disappointed. read more

In the back of Pappy MacGregor is a very cool speakeasy. The entrance is in the alley behind the restaurant. Push the call button or just wait in line. The wait goes quick because these guys run a tight ship! They act in character, dress in period clothes and the vibe is true to a real speakeasy. The mixologists are right on the money too. Been here before many times. Great bar once you get in. Had a problem with the egotistical 21 year old door man who thinks hesmore important than he actually is. Met a couple of people in line a became friends. When they got to the front of the lone we made a joke and the door man said we don't like your kind of people here?? We thought he was joking but he said it again. I'm not sure why he went there but it was very disappointing. Very disrespectful. I will never go back and encourage people not to reward this kind of behavior. read more

So, if you have to talk about "the vibe"...it's not the vibe. The drinks are good and cheap considering I live in a metropolis. That's nice, but this hole in the wall tries too hard. The cell phone cases are a bit tacky and extreme. If you're a member of a private club, you will know not to take pictures. It could be mentioned at the door. Done! However, if it's for a fun effect, at least have a nicer case. If you want everyone to be quiet, lower your music. If you want people to be quiet with loud music, let people play on their phones. If you're well travelled, I'd skip this spot and enjoy the wineries. Doesn't pass the vibe check. Stop saying vibe so much at the door. read more

Such a cool place! The whole process of ringing the bell and waiting to enter is so fun. The vibe inside is awesome. The drinks were incredibly good and one of them was made table side with fire, etc. it was a great show. The server was so passionate about the menu and ingredients. The prices are very reasonable for what you're getting. We can't wait to go back the next time we are in Paso! read more

Such a cool spot. It's a small speakeasy and you have to wait outside for a table after you ring the doorbell. Once inside they lock your phone in a small pouch but you get to keep it with you. They have really good drinks. We tried the espresso martini and butter pecan old fashioned. Both good. When you sit at a table most people are talking to the people sitting near you because you're kind of in a circle facing the other tables. It's a fun experience overall. When you're done you can walk through to Pappy McGregor's. read more

Join us inside 1122 for an elevated cocktail experience where you can re-live in the golden age cocktails with a modern twist. 1122 has recently be named to a list of the Top 50 Hidden Bars in the World. We specialize in lost and forgotten classic cocktails, seasonal craft cocktails with an extensive whiskey and scotch collection. We're located on the rear patio of Pappy McGregor's Gastro Pub in downtown Paso Robles. Open Tuesday-Sunday evenings. We welcome & encourage walk in guests every night. Reservations are available (but not required) Sunday, Tuesday-Thursday evenings, with first come first serve on Friday & Saturday nights (no reservations). Established in 2018.

Inspired by the 1920's speakeasy and current craft cocktail movement, Eleven Twenty-Two is a mash up of both. Featuring all of the classic cocktails from the golden age of cocktails to todays modern farm to mouth craft cocktails. Eleven Twenty-Two also boost a rare spirit selection of rare whiskeys, Japanese whiskey's and the largest absinthe selection around. The bar lounge wasn't overly large but they did their best to accommodate their patrons. Before we finished our drinks. some new patrons walked in and they had to be turned away since the lounge area was already filled. We kept our visit short so they could accommodate more patrons. I'm sure the food they offered would have been delicious but we had already eaten dinner. The sticky toffee pudding sounded like it would have been wonderful! My wife ordered a Duo with a Vacation Mode sandwich which featured pesto chicken, hummus, olive tappanade, and garlic aioli. She really liked her sandwich. She paired that (Duo you get 2) with a California Cowboy Cobb salad, which as you can see in the photos, was quite large. The food was served hot and fresh - the fries were very nice shoestring type, and were cooked properly. I have had "spicy" Tuna sandwiches before - this was the first one which was really spicy - it was perfect. A nice slab of seared tuna as well. The burger was just plain good. They call the burgers "sliders" because they are around 3 inches in diameter. If you have a larger appetite, figure it out. And I am so embarrassed to have recommended this restaurant to dozens of people. We raved to our friends about this place and this burger in particular. So, when we traveled with them to Paso Robles this week, we took them there on Thursday night. We passed on having the Wagyu 8 oz. burger and fries at In Bloom (Michelin listed) the night before in anticipation of this burger. Service was abysmal. We sat for quite some time with no service. My wife went in and asked where our server was? Finally, a woman showed up and said our waiter would be with us shortly. Sometime later, a friendly waiter arrived. He was obviously new, under-trained, and spread too thin. He was very personable, but our drinks sat on the bar for a long time and my wife had to go in and ask if she could take then. "No, the waiter will bring them out." Meanwhile, our friends were sipping on their drinks. We got our appetizers and then ordered our meals. The food came quickly, maybe too quickly, and I noticed no egg yolk oozing out (it was halved for us in the kitchen) and the burger overall was much thinner than the last time and the arugula was so wet under the patty. So, we ate a couple bites of it and it just did not taste right. I opened it up to find a baked or boiled grey patty with no crispy bacon wrapping. The bacon was soft, I mean boiled soft and was a small lump on top of the burger patty, not even close to crispy. More like a damp towel. The avocado was sliced but not spread out, so stuck on the left side. The egg was hard cooked with a solid yolk. No pepper to be found. I showed the waiter who was stunned. He thought we were kidding. The manger came out, looked at it, asked what we wanted to do. I was a bit surprised given the wreck that this burger was and said I don't know, what do you want to do? He said the chef wasn't there but took the plate back to the kitchen. He came back and said the chef (wait, he wasn't there) was surprised and said it was not right. The chef (if he was there) should have headed straight out to us and apologized. So, the manager took the burger off the bill but left the same horrible burger ($22) on our friend's bill. I should not have to tell a manager how to fix such a mess and disaster of a meal and service. I hope they fix their kitchen, whoever is checking food at the pass, and the service or they will be another casualty to the restaurant business in Paso. Sorry I had to write this as I rarely post negative reviews in order to not hurt a business and their employees.

The tasting room is intimate, comfortable, and tastefully decorated, creating a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy great wine. What really makes this place stand out is the people. The staff and owners are wonderful friendly, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable, making the entire experience feel warm and engaging. LXV is especially known for pairing wine with custom spice and flavor experiences that complement the tasting. They traditional wine tasting and a wine-and-cheese pairing experience (which I highly recommend). The cheeses are coated with the different blends of LXV's own herbs and spices, adding a unique layer of flavor to each tasting. If you enjoy cooking or simply appreciate bold, and well balanced flavors, chances are you'll leave with a few spice blends to take home along with a bottle or two of wine. Our first stop when we arrived in Paso. We've been to so many wineries, this would be one of our top 10. The spice pairing is unique but pairs so well with the wine. Buy 3 bottles to waive the fee. Since it's more of boutique, the bottles are quite pricey, mostly ranging near the 100s. But it was our favorite the whole weekend we went there. And we bought 6 bottles. We loved the spell and got 3 bottles of that! It's a Syrah cab blend. Has the Paso flavor that we love. It's not a vineyard, just a tasting room but worth a visit. We met the wine maker too. Friendly and attentive service. Can't wait to pop open a bottle at home soon!

LOTS of buildup with a 30min wait and the over explanation of how serious the "rules" were.... The closet they walk you into where you have to put your phone is a bag was odd and reminded me of a bad time in middle school, little confused on why phones aren't allowed as there's nothing interesting to take pics of. No Eyes Wide Shut situation going on. Full bar, yes. I feel like the bartender should have had a waxed mustache as proud of the drinks as they are. Other interesting point, apparently you have to knock 7 times on ALL doors you go thru. I'm left asking myself why I forced myself into this social experiment gone sideways. My wife and I have been going to speakeasy's & cocktail bars all over from NY to SF to CHI on our travels and 1122 did not disappoint. It is located on the back of Pappy McGregor's a busy Irish Pub. You actually enter on the rear street which you can access the door through Pappy's patio. The atmosphere was so cool it felt like we were in 1930. The service & drinks were on point. Super cool presentation. We had to wait about 30 min. This place only holds about 28-30 people so be patient if there is a wait.....We will definitely be back on our next visit to Paso. read more

Generally I love this place. Amazing cocktails and for the most part atmosphere is good. It's awesome they do not allow you to take phone calls in the bar. The reason for not 5 stars... they let people use flashes and the people across the way from us decided to take a video with the flash... directly in my eyes. I also should mention the lamps make me a little uncomfortable I feel like they were purchased not fully understanding the history behind them. read more
