We had a wonderful date night at Elia. Our server, Alix, was very charismatic and made the evening special. She was attentive and made us feel welcome right away. We're already looking forward to our next date night here, especially to eat more of the delicious scallops!

Elia Cafe was beautifully designed and the atmosphere with live music was wonderful! My favorite appetizers were the Brussels sprouts and the empanadas. The lamb chops were fantastic as a main as well! Our server Aidan was awesome and we will definitely be back!

FINALLY got to try out elia cafe tapas bar! We made the mistake and went on thursday before graduation without making a reservation and it was very busy- which of course i love seeing a local restaurant busy. They did an amazing job accommodating us and had excellent customer service. The ambiance is great- i have always loved this location and they did a nice job changing it up since clementines closed. We started out with trying the sangria flight which was fun- It was milder on the alcohol for sure which all had unique flavors. Ok now onto the food- we tried the beet goat cheese salad- something was missing- the dressing needed a little something, maybe it wasn't tossed well- not sure but i would pass on this salad. We also got the charcuterie board which was ok- I've had way better in town. The cheese quality wise wasn't that impressive and didn't have the usual variety i appreciate. There was not one soft cheese on the charcuterie board which to me is a problem- you need multiple types and you need multiple textures- one of the cheese they included looked like those cheap charcuterie board cube cheeses you get at the grocery store... They did include some sweeter elements which could be other people's cup of tea but i prefer the savory charcuterie. Also, it came with literally 5 crackers.... i mean how can a board only include 5 crackers when its advertised as being sharable. Each person can have one cracker? If you asked for more, like their table bread it might have been an extra charge haha. it was almost laughable to me- way more cheese than crackers. I enjoyed the table bread with the olive dip- note that if you want more than the 4 thin pieces, it'll be an extra $3. It's the same type olive dip as at their sister restaurant so it was tasty and enjoyable for the whole table- just wish there was more of it. We also tried the escargot which was my first time ever having it- there was good flavor but again, wish there was more of it- honestly, i just think we might have ordered the wrong things. I mean when you're sharing the escargot with 3 people, you each get 2 snails and each snail meat wise is about the size of 1 mushroom so it's just small and that's the reality of it. Just have the expectation of small portions and you'll be good- order more and would be easier if you're not really on any sort of budget so you can leave more full. I did try the garlic soup which i thought was tasty and unique- i've never had anything like it but if you like garlic, definitely give it a try! We tried their cheesecake dessert which was tasty and also had a fire display but also again, note the size of the piece, very small- not really sharable at all. The desserts aren't on the tapas section so I would expect a normal size. Each of us maybe had 2 bites. I say all of these critiques with true hope that they can make some good adjustments and do better because i honestly love local restaurants and am a huge foodie and advocate for all things local! I would honestly like to go back aometime and try other things because i never discredit a place after just one visit and there was truly so much potential!

My boyfriend and I visited Elia on 12/15/23. We had a reservation and were seated fairly quickly. The restaurant is cute and quaint. I personally liked the decorations on the wall and the informational pamphlet on the table which explained the history behind "tapas". I visited Barcelona in the Summer and had been earning to have some of the food I tried there again and this was the perfect opportunity to do so. We decided to pick out appetizers mainly which were all great and well priced in my opinion. The only bummer was that they were out of paella and didn't have some of the items on the menu that I had seen when they originally announced their opening. At the end of our meal one of the owners came and spoke with us about the restaurant and was honest about some of the struggles when they first opened, which explained the missing menu items. He was very kind and friendly and encouraged us to come back in the future and that they hope to have more on the menu by then. They also had the cutest older couple playing live music which we really enjoyed. We do not live in College Station but frequently visit as we are both Aggies so we will make sure to return in the future!

From the minute we walked into the place, until we left, service was friendly, attentive, and top notch. We came in without at reservation but had no problem sitting at the bar. The vibe was great. While the service and ambience were great, the food was the star of the show. My husband and I often order appetizers for meals so this place was perfect for us. We had the bacon-wrapped dates, Spain on a plate charcuterie, the ribeye pinchos, and the special stuffed pepitos. Every morsel was delectable and you could tell that a great deal of though was put into ensuring that each bite was special. This will definitely be a place we seek out on our next trip to Aggieland.

The girl asked for a card on file for parties 9 or larger(that was no big deal) it was after that she told me 9 will not be sat comfortably "it will be a tight squeeze". Why would I reserve a part of 9 & put my card on file to sit uncomfortably. I was very surprised how un-accommodating it was. I ended up canceling & reserving elsewhere we can sit comfortably. It's not worth showing up & someone is sat on an awkward corner or we are smooshed together at a table. It was for my bachelorette, so that's their loss!

They have a surprisingly sophisticated menu. It's curated (i.e. limited) but well selected. We had pumpkin arancini, the steak salad and pumpkin risotto (it's Fall obviously). Don't pass up the complimentary bread and olive oil dip - great bread dip with herbs and fried garlic. The pumpkin arancini was crispy outside and creamy and rich inside. The seasoning was perfect. The pumpkin puree smoosh was silky and rich. Very restrained garnish of parmesan shreds. Excellent! The risotto was the same as the arancini filling. Just delicious. To be honest it's more pumpkin than risotto, but I didn't care because it was so tasty. Lots of warm spices but not sweet. The steak salad was a definite must-order dish. The steak was cooked perfectly and was very tender. The greens were fresh and the gorgonzola crumbles were ample. Great dressing. Ask for a small side of their amazing gorgonzola cream sauce to dip your steak. If you are having wine, stick with the Library aged selections. They're more expensive but definitely worth it. Recommended.

Escargot Stuffed Mushrooms- a bit tiny, but packed with buttery goodness. Entrees: A5 Wagyu Flat Iron- this was a special and it wasn't tender enough to cut with just a fork like I've experienced, but still pretty tender and very juicy. Seasoned perfect to eat by itself, but it came with 4 different restaurant-made steak sauces. Mesquite Smoked Short Ribs- very tender and can be torn to shreds with a fork. Comes with mash potatoes and gravy and some crispy noodles for texture. Very flavorful. Sides: Maple Bacon Pecan Brussel Sprouts- very delicious and flavorful. Smoked Mashed Potatoes- very thick and smokey, but delicious. Definitely need some water lol. Poblano Creamed Corn- my wife liked this, but I didn't care for that creamy corn texture lol. Dessert: Marie Antoinette Cake- chocolate mousse cake that was perfectly rich with some kind of raspberry or berry drizzle. Also came with these super delicious alcoholic infused strawberries that paired super well. Overall, it was a pricey dinner, but not as pricey as I thought. Definitely had a great time and worth the price and experience. The restaurant ambience was dim and cabin-like setting with lots of beautiful decor. Our waiter, Gabriel was super friendly and helpful. He recommended a lot of our dishes tonight. Lots of parking and they also offer complimentary valet services.

The $64 Heartbrand Texas Akaushi NY Strip came out medium-rare mush, not a strip, clearly sous vide and barely finished: no crust, waxy unrendered fat, and that sour vacuum-bag tang wet-aged beef gets when it never sees real heat. Heartbrand Akaushi is the marquee of this menu, and it didn't resemble a strip & ate like deli roast beef. Sous vide is boiling in a bag-- a strip lives on its sear, and this one never got one. Great staff, special night, disappointing steak.

Waited another 8-10mins for our server to show up. The 2 guys on the runway, served before us. My wife's steak burger ($25) was charred on the outside and had spots of bright pink meat in it. Manager took my entree off the bill, which is the least that should be done. Offered us dessert, out of half of them. The worst part of all was having to look at my wife who was very sad that I didn't get a meal. Thank you JCody and Gate 12 for robbing us of our once in a lifetime celebration.!!!

The place is classically decorated and clean. First, to me, the sign of a great restaurant is an owner or manager who comes by the table, to see how their guests are doing. The owner, Tracy, did just that, asking how everything was and visiting for a short time. That was appreciated. For our meal, we had bread sticks with parm, Lasagna, Manicotti and Angel hair pasta. It was a very nice meal with loved ones that we enjoyed very much. Everything was really good and at a fair price. What strikes me the most about Fritella is not just the food, but the family feel. While we were there, a group of ladies showed up for lunch, then proceeded to enjoy a game of bridge with their friends. This is exactly what I think of, when I think of Frittella.
