Finally got around to taking the family here for dinner and we were not disappointed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]First off, for those of us old enough to remember, it's in the old terminal at Easterwood. It has a very unique old school airport vibe, decorated in tons of aircraft and airport pictures and memorabilia with a touch of Texas A&M.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server (forgot his name, I am so sorry) was amazing. He was always available when we needed him, our drinks never went empty and he made excellent recommendations. I had the Chicken fried chicken and it was on point, My wife had the beef stroganoff and my son had the shrimp and grits, all were delicious and great portions. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We loved watching the airplanes take off and land at night.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We Weill definitely return.

I usually don't write negative reviews because in general we have had good experiences. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Excellent view of course so can't beat that.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] However, we went for lunch the other day, a friend and me. We ordered the fish tacos but asked if it could be blackened. I also asked if the mac n cheese could be subbed for fries. The waiter said yes for both. We get the bill and it was an extra $3 fo blacken the fish and an extra $2 for the mac n cheese sub. The waiter never informed us of this. Not only that but the "blackening" of the fish was very poorly done- the fish was barely seasoned and the fish was dry. However i'm not one to send a dish back so i ate it. Upon finding out about our $3 additional charge, we asked if he would talk to the manager about removing it from our bill. The waiter came back only to tell us the manager said no. For $3, they chose to flush their customer service down the toilet. I was with a friend who was trying to save money so i also felt bad for her in particular that they took advantage and refused to do the right thing. I wasn't even going to fight the $2 mac n cheese sub. Anyways, customer service should always be a restaurant's priority because it is a huge aspect of a customer's experience. In this town in particular, we are known for customer service. I wouldn't be as surprised to get this type of person say in houston but even there they would probably take off the $3 charge that wasn't communicated. Now let's talk a little bit more on the overcooked tacos. the tacos comes with an aoli sauce on them already but also has some guacamole ans salsa. i love that. However what goes with guacamole and salsa? chips! Do they include chips? no, you get beans as your side. I don't understand the logic to this dish at all. Who wants to put guacomole, plus salsa on a taco that's already covered in an aoli sauce. Clearly, there needs to be more adjustments in this dish in particular. I felt bad for my friend who has just moved into town a few months ago to be given a distasteful experience at a local restaurant that i recommended none the less... We deserve better BCS.

Not what I expected at all. We made 2pm reservations and were told at 1:52 that it would be a moment, understandable cuz we're early... ended up being 25min. Then set at the table for another 10 before we ever got a waitress. Another 15min before the kids drinks came out. It was a 2 hour lunch. The crab cakes had good flavor but no lump meat so soft, the calamari was terrible! The texture was overcooked and hard. The chicken fried steak was good, green beans cooked perfectly, but overall... im not going back because the delays in service & time to get drinks & food was ridiculous. And it wasn't the waitresses fault, they were short staffed, busy. Managers should've been helping servers more. But PS the bread & kids macaroni were really good

The food felt to be extremely overpriced for what it was. I spent $30-$40 on a beef stroganoff that felt mediocre for the price. The service was good and attentive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance of getting to view the planes that come in is a neat concept.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ate at night so we did not see any. Overall I would not come back to eat here because it was too expensive for the quality of the food.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Wow, this is such a unique place![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I love every bit of it and the food was so amazing. I came here kind of full but the PESTO wow was it so amazing. The garlic bread was great too!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The view was spectacular despite the cloudy day.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will def have to come back to college station just for this place :)

The food here was excellent! I got the chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes and it was delightful. The service was great! We had Arath as our server and he was the sweetest and most helpful!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]There was a storm rolling in and watching it through the windows was a lovely end to our evening![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Gate 12 was a great experience, especially after ring day. I ate the Reuben and it was excellent, a good amount of meat in the sandwich. The 1000 island dressing sauce was great on it as well. We placed reservations months ahead and had a booth seat without view of the runway but the company made up for it. Great service came along with that, and we were checked on and taken care of. Great place highly recommend!

This is a hidden gem in college station! Service and food were excellent! I sat at the bar and Gavin did a great job making sure I had everything I needed! Food came out fast on the Saturday of ring day! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Super cool the runway is literally right behind it! Celebrities land and eat here![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Honest review- Hostess - well dressed, professional and personalable Waiter - Gavin: young man is He was vibrant and knew the drinks and menu well. When we come back, it'll be on his shift. Drinks - I drink old fashions. I went ahead and sampled all of them. The maple butter, old fashioned is easily the best I've ever had. While they were all great, this one was phenomenal! Food - the potato wedges were really dry. Sorry guys, this is an honest review. The pork ribeye didn't have any flavor. The grill was the only flavor, so I had to add little salt and pepper to zazz it up a little. The Gate 12 filet was perfect. The entire plate looked and tasted great! The steak was seasoned and cooked (medium rare) perfect! The Cody corn and potatoes sat in a glaze that I'd usually bark at, but it was a great addition. I will probably end up spending enough here to put these kids through college. Service- 5/5 Appearance - 5/5 Drinks - 6/5 Food - 4.8/5

Early in June, we did a team dinner on a Thursday as we concluded our work week. With so many dining options in the area and people having certain preferences, it can be challenging finding a place that comforts everyone. Gotta give props to my SE Richard though for finding and suggesting this place. He also mentioned the location and that it's on location with the local airport so you can see planes come and go as you dine. Now that's a dining experience I'm down for! As we all arrived, we got greeted by our server Tim who accommodated us and gave us his recommendations regarding drinks and food. Decided on a martini first (shaken, not stirred) before ordering a William Chris Skeleton Cabernet for my meal. They have a wine list representing Texas wines which is a nice touch. Now, for food. We had a mix of preferences so a lot of different dishes were ordered with some shrimp dishes (shrimp & grits; shrimp vera cruz), chicken dishes (basil alfredo pasta w/ chicken, chicken madeira, chicken scallopini), the apricot/horseradish glazed salmon, cobb salad, the ribeye steak, and grilled portabella (vegetarian). All the dishes tasted fine as everyone enjoyed their meals. I had the salmon which had great flavor from the glaze. The bourbon carrots had a nice bourbon touch although the carrots were tough. Other popular sides were the codycorn which people liked. The steak was cooked a perfect medium rare although there was a mix-up with the order and the steak didn't arrive until after everyone was nearly done with their meals due to a miscommunication with the kitchen. Fortunately, Tim recognized the steak situation and helped remedy the situation by offering a complimentary dessert to the team member who decided on the caramel macchiato cheesecake. The cheesecake was delicious although very heavy (since it's cheesecake). That caused a chain reaction with our table as other members decided on desserts including the creme brulee, key lime pie, and apple pie; all of which were finished leaving everyone smiling and happy. Props to Tim for his customer service and being attentive to us. Overall, it was an enjoyable dining experience that we look forward to again when we're back in College Station.

I brought the whole family and we left stuffed, happy, and already planning our next visit. The brisket was melt-in-your-mouth tender with that perfect smoky bark, and the burnt ends were absolute heaven, crispy, and packed with flavor. The sides were just as impressive: creamy, cheesy mac n' cheese that felt like a hug in a bowl, rich twice-baked potatoes loaded with all the good stuff, hearty beans with just the right sweetness and smoke, and everything complemented the meat beautifully. Save room for dessert because they do those right too. The banana pudding was silky, nostalgic perfection, and the cobblers were warm, fruity, and topped with that flaky crust and Blue Bell Vanilla Ice Cream that makes you want seconds. The service was outstanding and genuinely friendly from the moment we walked in. The staff made us feel welcome and took great care of our large group. The restaurant itself is fantastic , spacious indoor and outdoor seating, plus party rooms that make it ideal for family gatherings, celebrations, rehearsal dinners etc...or just a big Sunday lunch. Cooper's nailed every part of the experience: incredible food, warm hospitality, and a comfortable, family-friendly atmosphere. This is Texas BBQ at its finest. We'll be back soon! I highly recommend bringing the whole crew! Rod Gray Cypress, TX

We were BLOWN AWAY by the number of college students, dressed in their Sunday's best, openly praying over their food before enjoying some awesome chicken. It was SO NICE TO SEE! I had a slight "issue" where I thought my chicken wasn't fully cooked and the manager reassured me that it was just breading but happily remade my sandwich to give me peace of mind. I REALLY appreciated that. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals, literally leaving "not a fry left behind." The size of my chicken on the sandwich was HUGE- had to be hanging off the roll by 2" on each side! Staff were phenomenal. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Love the laid back decor. I ordered the two meat plate with brisket and sliced pork belly. I loved the flavor of the pork belly. It was cooked well, and the outside had a savory, yet sweet taste that was so good. I appreciated the monthly side special - green bean casserole and sweet potato casserole. Both were delicious and quite filling. My husband liked the mashed potatoes he selected. My child, who normally eats all the French fries first left quit a few, so I'm guessing the tenders tasted better. As for the customer service, hardly anyone behind the line or at the register looked like they wanted to be there. The girls at the register charged us for an extra cup although a small one came with the kid's meal. Then the music. I expected country music (even though I'm not a huge country music fan). Rock music was playing, and while I love Stone Temple Pilots, hearing "Creep" around Noon at a restaurant on a Sunday morning was different. If I come back to C&J's, I'll probably head to a different location.

Frank's Country Store & BBQ is a hidden gem in the BCS area. Let me say right off the bat, as a native Texan who has eaten at a majority of the Texas Top-50 Barbecue joints, I judge all barbecue joints by their brisket. In Texas brisket is king, and if you can't smoke a brisket properly, you might as well hang it up. I really could care less about sides, as basically anything will do. And, I do like to try some sausage in most of Texas' good barbecue joints, as a lot of towns have different sausage recipes. I assume Frank's uses Slovacek sausage, since it's the king sausage of the BCS area. Frank's has some GREAT BRISKET! Nothing more to say.
