They really slacked on the amount of toppings and the crust was bland. The ambiance is dirty and they rush you through - that's been okay because we always take out. My wife and I ordered pizza from here after receiving numerous recommendations. We got an XL large pizza, to-go, and enjoyed eating it with our daughter, at a picnic table. Elidio's was noticeably busy and traffic was backing up into the road, as their tiny parking lot was overfilled. The pizza was amazing! It was some of the best that I have had in a long time. The large, thin crust slices had the perfect amount of sauce and just the right amount of cheese. This was our second visit. First time was great. This time the older lady who took our order was rude, impatient. She didn't charge me for two cokes that I ordered so when I told her I needed a second one, she went to charge me but said it would have to cash because they can't take a card for anything under$5. I don't carry cash so I didn't get the drink. I got my order to go instead of eating in. So, $60 for two pizza's and one drink with a side of rudeness is not for me. Man I'm so glad I gave this place another try. Years ago I had gotten takeout a couple of different times and wasn't extremely impressed w/ the pizza. That all changed last night as I decided to dine in and take another chance on this pizza joint. The pizza itself was delicious, sauce had a hint of sweetness, and the slices were foldable. It wasn't greasy at all. The crust might look undercooked but it wasn't. If it had been cooked longer I probably wouldn't have been able to have reheated it as well as I did for my leftovers. It's across the street from Rusty Wallace Honda off Callahan Drive. They don't stay open very late so make sure to get in there early and check them out. I'm so glad I dined in, it made a world of different at the table. We ordered an Extra Large Pizza (18"), with Half Cheese, Half Pepperoni & Mushrooms. It was delicious! This is the best pizza in this area so if you find yourself around here then go give them a shot, you won't be disappointed. This pizza place is one of the best in Powell! They were so busy they couldn't even answer the phone to take an order, so I had to drive there to see what was up. I thought maybe they even closed early or something. When I arrived, there was a line of people inside waiting on their orders and a line extending outside waiting to get an order placed. To top it all off, they were only taking cheese and pepperoni pizza orders! Sheesh! If they were able to answer phones or offer most of their menu I would've given them 5 stars. This place stays busy so that sounds like a management issue, unless they were doing that on purpose for expedited orders. I feel like I drive past this pizza joint almost every day and thought it was about time to take a visit! We called in an order on a Saturday at around 6pm and it took about 15-20 minutes for the pizza to be ready- which was great! The pizza was pretty good, but nothing really stood out to me. It was definitely better quality than most "fast food" pizza joints so I would much rather return here than order dominoes or Pizza Hut. My husband said it was packed inside the restaurant, so maybe we need to go back and try something else to see if we are missing something! I REALLY wanted to give this 5 stars!!! I have been eating this pizza for 3/4 of my life, ever since the Mallrat days of East Towne Mall. Let me start off by saying that the Pizza at Elidios is not only the BEST pizza in Knoxville and East Tennessee and dare I say south of the Mason Dixon line... HOWEVER my last visit was bad on a couple of levels. I had friends over and we were craving Calzones, so I suggested Elidios. We ordered two Calzones and a Stromboli. I called in the order and specified that it was three separate orders. We went by the prices on the website, so my friends gave me their money. Upon arriving, I was given one box. I opened the box and all three were crammed into one box (see pictures below) and the prices were different from the website prices. The Calzones I received were much smaller than the ones I saw coming out of the oven and since the ones coming out of the oven looked WAY better than the ones I had, I asked what they were. She told me they were what I got. They weren't. They were much bigger and looked WAY better. When I got the total it was about $5 different than the total we calculated from the website. I then looked at the in-store menu prices and they were not the same. The difference obviously came out of my pocket. REGARDLESS, I am still giving 4 out of 5. If management reads this may I suggest that you update prices on the website and NEVER put three separate orders in one box. I probably will stick with their pizza from now on, because it is the best in Knoxville read more

Years ago when the owner of Elidio's ran Cosimo's Pizza at the Knoxville Center Mall, I worked at the nearby arcade and got to know him. When I had an angry customer that turned threatening one day, the owner told me that I could stay in the back of his kitchen if I felt in danger and if someone wanted to hurt me, they would have to go through him, and pointed to a picture of Jesus on the cross to show his commitment to that. I have never forgotten that. So when I went to Elidio's today after years of being away from Knoxville, I was pleased to see the same man running it still and greeted him again. So I could tell you to go to this place to get good pizza, and that would be true, but it is not the main reason. I could tell you to go to get good service, and that would be true, but that is not the main reason. I could tell you to go because the prices are good, and that is true, but that is not the main reason. The owner of this place is a good man. He runs his business with integrity and some of the employees are his own family. I walk in and it is not just a business, but it is like visiting a friend. He puts his heart into his pizza and wants to do every customer right. That is why I consider myself a faithful friend of Elidio's and plan to come back often. You should visit too.
