I have to say, the service is always excellent, and of course the food is exceptional. I live in AZ where Mexican food is quite popular and this restaurant rivals the best we have in AZ. I love the fresh guacamole they prepare at your table. You can get it without jalapeños if you want. My Mom is allergic to jalapeños so we didn't have that in our guacamole. But it was still delicious. My favorite is the puerco de salsa, and my Mom is a vegetarian, so she usually gets the cheese, spinach and mushroom chimichanga. Today, she ordered the chicken burrito. She said it was excellent. We love the colorful chairs and the pictures on the wall. It is comfortable, clean and inviting. We bring some of our friends there once in a while. My friend loves this place because the portions are large, and yet so tasty! The menu is quite extensive, lots to choose from. We will continue to frequent this restaurant. It is a hidden gem in East York. Not much to look at on the outside, but plenty of parking and has a cute bar inside. You won't be disappointed!!

I asked to substitute a green chicken chili enchilada for a cheese enchilada and was refused. This is the sole reason for taking away a star. I ended up with 2 cheese enchiladas with a sweet green chili sauce. The rice and beans were both very nice. The enchiladas were tasty. The total for both meals and 2 teas with tax was, wait for it... $21! Yes, just $21 so I ended up tipping just over 30%. The tip went into a tip jar I guess they will split. We were attended by 3 servers, all very nice and attentive. If not for the unwillingness to substitute cheese for chicken on the enchilada this little eatery could get 5 stars for everything else they did well. I can't recall if that was the case last few times I was here. They were crispy and I did really enjoy the red salsa. I ordered two quesabirria tacos and one chicken taco since they were only available à la cart. The wife got two shrimp tacos. Mine came with a side of consommé that was mostly water and lacked flavor. I had to add salt to the tacos since they needed flavor that the consommé wasn't providing. The salsa Verde that came on the chicken was medium spicy and had a nice kick to it. It actually made me sweat, but in a good way. We ate pretty quickly because I just wasn't feeling a good vibe inside the restaurant. I asked for the check and presented my coupon. While getting checked out at the register, I asked for change for a $20 (for a cash tip) in the form of a 10 and two fives and was presented a 10 a five and five ones. I did not want the one dollar bills because I had several in my pocket already. Again, this waitress either just didn't care or I don't know wtf her problem was.
