Looked like a great company from reviews, but turned out to be useless. After a few calls where front office could not clearly explain what "packages" they offer until someone came to the property, we set up an appointment, one guy showed up, poked huge holes in old wood destroying paint that was holding things together, and immediately said there are termites, no checking the attic with a lot of wood, no checking crawl space or inside the house. I said how do you know it's not old damage, he was like what I am doing here then if you don't want spot treatment. After I told him the whole property was tented 3-4 years ago, he was like "oh then you don't have termites". Then I said as you have full contractor license what would it take to replace wooden planks, he just looked at it and said maybe 3 days so $9500 without even counting the amount of facia boards, wood etc. I asked to go around the property for a proper quote with breakdown of what it would take but never received it, called another company and they came the next day, spent 1 hour at the property checking and documenting everything, also confirmed that damage is old and there are no termites and gave proper quote for half the price. Maybe we got a bad apple from their staff but lesson learned, never trust even great reviews. read more

So glad I chose this company to treat my house. The entire process from booking, to Gary coming out for the initial inspection, to Hiram completing the work was incredibly smooth, efficient and easy. Termites are jerks and the thought of dealing with them plus uncovering the extent of the damage was overwhelming. However this company with their knowledge, friendliness, and professionalism made the whole experience a breeze and I'm so glad I chose this route instead of tenting. I'm also very comforted by their warranty, the ease of calling them back out if needed, and the education they provided making me more informed on how to identify future swarms and infestation. It's been about a week and a half since the treatment and I haven't seen a recurrence of pellets. I really wanted to use Eliminite to deal with a termite situation but my interactions have been nothing but frustrating. First I called and left a message with my cell number and got no call back. Finally a week later I called their office and was greeted by a very friendly person who set up an appointment for inspection with a two hour window. No one from Eliminite showed up and nobody called me to indicate that they were running late or needed to reschedule. I'm a pretty forgiving person but I hate having my time wasted. I'm glad everyone else here has had good interactions but it didn't work for me. UPDATE: Thanks Barry for getting back to me. This company lacks integrity and honesty. They don't complete their own repair work, so they point fingers at independent contractors who try to understand requirements based on their always changing reports. Then they come back to the customer saying there was a "computer glitch" LOL 99% of termite companies have the repair side of the business to avoid problems from their own incompetence. They hire bullies to deal with customer service, like Barry and Daggan... Really hard to believe they have decent Yelp ratings when everyone in the termite repair industry has negative opinions and feedback about Eliminate related to and their inconsistencies like changed repair requirements 3-4 times after the work has been completed. I picked the wrong company for sure! Now gotta start all over with another termite operation. Even real estate agents know not to use this company as many have had multiple issues with Eliminate. I lost over 3K using this company, don't risk it.. When Barry originally talked me into using them and demanded CASH only, he was bashing liberals and the " mentality" in San Diego. Unbelievable as a business owner in CA. My mistake to use them as they only complete less of half of the work needed for escrow. Update: Just got a call from Owner asking me to come down and fight him at his office over the review. Men in the background threatening me as well on the call. Was fortunate I stumbled on Eliminite after reading a Yelp review from a disgruntled customer having better service with Eliminite, otherwise I would never have seen this business in my Yelp search for a tenting alternative. I had the great pleasure to work with Ty for the entire end-to-end termite treatment- courteous, timely, professional, and quite personable (he has an amazing story), Ty started with a general overview, proceeded with inspection in and around the home exterior, he went fully into the attic to inspect all areas (unlike xtermite), and was able to make his assessment about the dry wood termites I decided on Eliminite and in particular Ty to do the job ; despite much of the competition that exists in the business and despite other businesses also having high reviews: I found that it was possible to build rapport with Ty, observed that Ty was highly-situationally-aware, keenly observant, and throughly diligent in his inspection of my home - too me that mattered most when it comes to termite control. I followed along as he worked and explained what he was doing; shedding light on termite behavior and his experience having worked with many customers. Eliminite termite is hands down one of the best companies I've worked with, from the very first point of contact with Alex, she was knowledgeable, friendly, and got me in for a inspection within the same week of calling.. syd came out an performed an inspection and wasn't pushy at all (compared to other pest control companies) .. They were two weeks out on jobs, but with the timeline I had, they made adjustments and got me in and worked with my needs. The crew came out and went to work, an finished the job without me having to move out! Which was huge for my family an my pets. I had my home treated for termites in late May. One concern that I had about the orange oil method is that treatments are localized and limited to the spots that are treated. The company used technology to help locate termites that may have been in the wood but hidden from view. Of course, there is the risk of new infestations at any time just because of our climate, which is true for any termite treatment. The inspection and the service went very well, and the contract included a 2-year warranty. About a month later, I had a handyman power wash the house as part of getting ready to fix some termite damage in the fascia and to repaint the house. Power washing exposed damage that I hadn't seen during the inspection. I contacted the company to ask them to come and compare the exposed spots with their report to make sure everything was treated before the repair began. They sent Ty later that same afternoon to check it out. He told me that almost everything had been previously treated, and there were no signs of live termites. He extended the treatment area where the damage was more extensive than originally believed. Things were now ready for the repairs. No live termites were found. He said to be sure and contact the company if we ever found any live ones. Yesterday, a handyman was doing the repair work and found two spots with live termites. I called the company and asked for someone to come take care of the problem "relatively quickly" because the handyman was currently working and was scheduled to finish up repairs on the next day. I was very pleased when the company told me that they were able to re-arrange a schedule to get someone out the same day. Gary arrived, treated the new areas, and re-treated a few other areas as well. The handyman was able to finish the repairs the next day. We are now ready to start painting. Overall, I am very pleased with the responsiveness of the company. Their staff is very polite and professional. They were able to accommodate a request for a "relatively quick" response, knowing that the handyman had a schedule to keep and was dependent on their timely response. I was blown away to find that Gary had arrived within 2 hours of my call. I am very happy with their prompt response and professionalism. I recommend this company! read more

This is a great service! Gary came and did an inspection at our house and saw we had crickets and termites. He and his team were able to book us (fairly quickly) with the hecticness of the holidays to get back in our house and get the exterminating process started. They were able to do a non-hazardous treatment. We were able to stay in the house the whole time, food in the kitchen was safe, and they were in and out in a matter of hours. The service we received from Eliminite was exemplary. We are in the process of selling our house and originally used a different service recommended by our realtor to perform the termite inspection. They found a few areas where there was termite damage and provided a quote to tent the house. The quote was much more than I expected, but the real downside was that they would not be responsible for any damage to our roof tiles or solar system. Our roof was redone and the solar system added about two years ago, so they were is pristine condition. I contacted Eliminite and worked with Alex over the phone. I explained that I no longer lived in town and wanted to schedule their inspection and treatment for the same day so I wouldn't have to make two trips to complete this. They reviewed the inspection report I already had and determined it was likely that they could properly treat our house. I flew back to town the day before the appointment and they completed their inspection (which differed slightly from the previous one) and began the treatment immediately after that. And it was quite a bit less expensive than the quote for tenting! Because of their customer orientation (Thanks, Alex), I was able to have the work completed quickly with no damage to the house. From start to finish, I've been very happy with the service these folks provide. I knew I wanted to go with the orange oil treatment, as that's what we'd used in the past, and we have pets. Phone calls to set up an inspection and quote, as well as setting a date for treatment, were very nicely handled by the woman whose name I've unfortunately forgotten. (Reading other reviews, I'm guessing it was Alex.) She was very, very pleasant and helpful. Gary did the inspection and explained what kind of termite problems we had and didn't have, and specifically where the problems were. Ceaser was the lucky guy (!) who wore overalls during this heatwave, crawling under our house after doing a careful secondary inspection. I had Gary come out to get a quote to treat out house. He showed up on time and respected the current social distancing guidelines and wore a mask. After 20 min inspection of the exterior of the home he provided a quote that is good for 30 days. He also explained the wood rot damage vs termite damage. Towards the end of our remodel/addition we had the floors re-done. There was some termite damage under one of the windows so we had two companies come out to investigate. Both confirmed we had a mild infestation. Eliminite was recommended to us by a co-worker that owns several properties. Gary came out to do the quote and was knowledgeable, friendly, honest and caring. He stated that if what he found under our house was more than a mild infestation that could be treated with orange oil, that he would be honest and recommend tenting and going with the "other guys". Even with a tight timeline, our flooring team was able to complete the installation and the technician, Trevor, was out of the way under the house and able to apply the orange oil. He even took pictures of his work to show me. Working with Trevor day of treatment was easy and direct. He explained the process and confirmed the amount of infestation Barry indicated. True story, the competitor came out the same day/time (within 30 minutes of each other) and tried to bad mouth Eliminite that orange oil doesn't work. Apparently, the competition uses orange oil as a preventative or maintenance method. Also, the competition was over priced and recommended complete tenting. Eliminte has a two year warranty with unlimited visits for touch up treatments. Try to pay with a check as they do charge a 2% fee for credit/debit cards. His honesty extended in suggesting what was best for us vs pushing the oil treatment. With that said he recommended tenting my home vs going with the orange treatment (his company does not do tenting). He was very transparent that our home could be treated with orange oil but considering our current termite situation it would be a bit of a project and the cost would be high. There are 3 things you can count on in life (living in California): Death, taxes, and termites. If you own property here, termites are going to be a reality. "My, what tasty wood you have!!" - I imagine they are saying. Though, I admit, the whole termite talk and treatment was during my escrow and handled by the seller and then I went on my merry way and was very "out of sight, out of mind" about it and never performed a treatment myself. Well, I've decided to take care of some adulting this year, and have been long overdue to repair the very obvious termite and dry rot damage before painting it, per orders from my HOA. You don't do either of those things till you first treat termites soooo... the search for the right company began. As long there isnt substantial damage, spot treatments are totally appropriate and effective, the least hassle and offer the best longevity against future insect freeloaders. Furthermore, when you own animals and are actively living in the house and dont want to move out and pack things up, its highly desireable over tenting. Home improvement / maintenance is a very daunting endeavor so I started asking neighbor friends for references which led me to exploring orange oil. This wasn't the name I was given, and it's probably pretty obvious who it was since there aren't many orange oil termite companies, but I'm not one to bash other companies or give micro reviews of them when I didnt use their services...but I will explain my decision. As you can see, I've been around the yelp block *just a bit* and I've become very astute to the vibe of a company based on reviews/business page. You know what Eliminite said to me? Local small business who values its customers and goes out of their way to make sure they are satisfied and the jobs are always done well. What I saw was an owner who responds to every review on here, and though they appeared "less established" with far less reviews than some of the others, I just had a good feeling about it and that they were probably newer and eager to prove their worthiness. When I filled out an inquiry on their website, I was called back by Barry, the owner, within a hour. Then when I explained my limited schedule and (kinda) hurry to get the job going, he made an exception and got me an appt first thing on the upcoming Saturday before any other appt. My confidence was further earned when i met my inspector Ty, who was extremely down to earth, upfront about everything, educated me on the history of the company/owner and how they are a full business trifecta: Termite, licensed contractors, and real estate. What a great idea and proves how experienced and educated they are. He explained their process and how their patented orange oil product is only allowed to be applicated by those who go through their thorough training program to ensure proper quality control. They really take it seriously and it shows that not all orange oil and companies applying it are created equal and what you read of some rants and counterarguments is a very subjective thing. Anyway, on top of that, Ty went over all of the areas of my house, answered every single question, and stayed for a good 2 hours. He didnt try to scare me and tell me my house was in terrible shape or pressure me to act then. Just the facts, the offer, and the friendly demeanor. He was aware I had other appts for inspections and wouldnt make up my mind till then. The following company was a complete different experience, told my roommate it "wasnt looking good" in an ominous tone, and shockingly presented a way more expensive quote. On top of that, he chalked my house all over like my 4 year old niece had run amuck and marked areas with zero damage - WTF? So now I have to clean my entire outside house, thx. Then, I began getting calls from him that there were cancellations to fill and started offering substantial discounts if I booked for the next day... or 2 days from then... basically a salesman approach of bid high then magically offer discounts through pressure selling. Im sorry, I am not shopping for a car and looking to haggle. It was very off putting and solidified my choice. You know how many times Eliminite called to pressure me? Zero. i called them when I was ready to move forward. Ty and I worked together to set the appt date for a day my roommate was off and I wouldnt have to take off work, and scheduled it as his training day so he would oversee things. As for the treatment itself, they were thorough and took their time, treated my attic as a preventative measure (no damage, but since its exposed wood its necessary), and stayed way later than I'd expect them to just to discuss closing things with me. And now my house is protected and under warranty for 2 years - with the opportunity to re-sign yearly for $350. Which, I probably will be doing since I've really had a positive experience with this company, and as I began with: Death, taxes, and termites are a sure bet in life. read more

Just got done with Eliminite Termite and I can't tell you how impressed I was. I was in desperate spot and needed treatment quickly and had no idea who to call. My friend suggested Eliminite because I was trying to do whatever possible to not have my house tented for fumigation for our termites. We have pets in the house and with their orange oil, we were all able to stay home while they treated it and they were done in less than 5 hours instead of the three days of fumigation I was quoted. They were able to scan the walls to find the infested areas we had no idea were there. So crazy. Got nothing but great service from Gary and His crew and they saved me such a headache.
