We ended the day at this awesome little eatery, in Crescent city, the burgers were Great and were a generous portions size, everything came out fast and fresh/piping hot, we met the owner operators who were just 24 and 25 years old and we're wowed but their professionalism and desire to provide excellent food products and service. This was definitely top notch and a we will definitely return if we are in the area again. I forgot to take a picture of the food but we had the Western burgers with curly and regular fries. We are from Los Angeles and happened to pass by this restaurant and they are by far the best burgers I've had in my life ! We got the mushroom Swiss burger and added jalapeños and bacon for extra flavor and it was so delicious ! The service was also so amazing , they were so friendly and welcoming and even recommended some other places that we should check out. The ambiance was overall really welcoming and cozy ! This place hit the spot after a hike in Grove of Titans. The staff very kid friendly. The server had sheets of sticker so kids could make a picture while waiting for the food to come. The server said the kids could have the pictures hung on their wall gallery. My kids chose to take them home. I had the fried chicken plate with side of Mac and cheese, some onion rings, and a biscuit Fried chicken was great, 2 large drumsticks and a thigh, crispy, hot, and moist. My son took my biscuit and Mac& cheese. My son age 10 gobbled his adult size Mac & cheese. Waiter was able to get a side order of 2 slices of bacon for my picky eater daughter. Passing through town, stopped here because my daughter is named Elise and we took it as a good sign. We were not disappointed. The Redwood burgers were juicy and flavorful just as they were. On our latest trip to Crescent City we did a quick search for someplace new to eat (past experience has given us few options). We landed at Elise's on a Saturday afternoon. All of the tables were full when we arrived with another couple waiting for a table also. After about a fifteen minute wait we were seated. The dining room was clean. Table service was for ordering only with patrons bussing their own table. We chose the Western Burger, a 6 piece chicken strip meal and a fried chicken plate. We added fries to the two chicken meals (they came with mac & cheese and a biscuit). The burger was HUGE, I'm not a small eater and I had to force myself to eat 2/3rds. The taste was excellent and the upgrade to onion rings really hit the spot. My wife had the chicken strip meal and a three piece would have been fine (we had three leftover). She very much enjoyed the strips and biscuit, she also enjoyed the added fries. Wasn't a fan of the mac & cheese, but she's always picky about that item. Our son had the friend chicken meal and devoured every bite including the mac & cheese. We ordered two pieces of the lemon cake, one for the wife and I to share and one for my sone. Very sad we shared, it was moist and delicious. If you find yourself in Crescent City just go. PS. The restaurant is owned and run by three young friends, minimal staffing made service a bit slow but the food more than made up for the wait. read more

Such a little hole in the world restaurant. We had a big group on Christmas eve and Elise was open. Stopped by to get a quick burger meal but it turns out to be the best burger I've had this year. We ordered pretty much everything on the menu. Fried chicken, tenders, Redwood Burgers, salads and Swiss cheese and mushrooms burger. A big thank you to Elise's Eatery for the delicious lunch today. They made us an assortment of 30 sandwiches complete with salad, dressing, and ziploc bags containing silverware, napkins and condiments. Kristen even taped assorted chips to each bag so folks could grab and go with their boxed lunches. Not only were the sandwiches delicious, she made home made brownies too. So good. I loved the mural painted on the wall by a local artist depicting the lighthouse in town. We had the Redwood burger and Macaroni and cheese. They were both delightful! What a quaint and friendly little place to grab a bite! The owner (red-headed with glasses) seems like an utterly wonderful person running a quality restaurant with a charming personality. Decent variety on the menu including some more unexpected (but delicious!) offerings like bone-in fried chicken and lemonade made with blue butterfly pea blossoms. My wife and I were looking for a place to eat while in Crescent City. She found this place and I read the reviews. Because I consider myself a hamburger connoisseur, I said let's try this place. The hamburger came out just the way I was hoping it might. It was an easy "10". On top of that, the curly fries were as crispy as any french fries I had ever eaten. Every last one of them. I ordered a cheese burger with fries. It was a 10. Thick burger with tomato and pickle was delicious. The Fries were just like I like them. Now the Coleslaw (that comes in a small cup included) was not up to my liking, it needs a touch of vinager or lemon. Not taking points off because its my personal taste. My Friend had the chefs salad and it was a 10 also. Just the right size and presented nicely. The server was sweet and worked her butt off. (you are going to need a helper ).
