Don't underestimate this place! Friendliest service, lovely outdoor seating, large menu, and great food. I had a veggie sandwich that had sooo many toppings. It was a delightful and healthy surprise.

    Turkey dinner special!

Thanksgiving special was very good and was just what I needed after a day of hiking! Very friendly staff.

We stayed at the cabin and also had breakfast here. Cabin: The cabin was very bare bones, but suited our needs. We're basically only in our room to sleep and shower, so it wasn't a huge deal to us. Supposedly they were recently renovated? It was equipped with a microwave, coffee maker and a fridge. Breakfast: - Buttermilk biscuit sandwich ($4.95): A warm, flaky biscuit with a nicely fried sausage, cheese and egg. A little on the small side. - Half order of biscuits with sausage gravy ($5): This never looks that appetizing, and this order wasn't the exception. However, looks can be deceiving. The gravy was very flavorful and hearty. On the rich side, a half order was perfect (two halves of a biscuit). - Pastrami and Swiss on sourdough ($9.75): No Dutch crunch available at the time, but they let us order this first thing in the morning so we could take it on our hike with us. Although there wasn't much meat (extra meat option $4) there were tons of condiments, which made it a pretty substantial sando. We split it between the two of us and it was perfect. To go orders only during COVID. You can order at the window, and there are some benches on the side available for outdoor seating.

I drive up north a few times a year and passing by Woodland Villas I noticed that the exterior had been updated very nicely. It made me want to stop for lunch on my last trip. I was glad I did! We enjoyed the fish and chips and chicken fried steak sandwich. The homemade tartar sauce was excellent. The potato tots were cooked perfectly. The refrigerator case was well-stocked with a good selection of beers and soft drinks. 5-stars for the food. 5-stars for the staff. 5-stars for the prices. 5-stars for a well-curated selection of items on the menu. 4-stars for outdoor dining only. Next time I'm rolling up the Redwood Highway 101, I'll be stopping there for sure.

This is a great little market out in the middle of nowhere in the redwoods (just south of mystery trees) but what makes it really stand out is the food they are preparing in back. There is a small cafe in the back of this little convenience store that makes some really good food. Nothing fancy, clean and simple, and really good burgers that are made to order with pretty much every combination you can imagine (grab a sheet and a marker at the counter circle what you want and put your name on it) and then there are the pizzas that often times you have people waiting for, one visit they were making a dozen before us! They are that good. They also sell draft tap (local crafts) beers - half a dozen or so taps going the last time through. Nothing like a frosty cold beer and a great burger to make your afternoon go a little better. This little market/cafe is definitely worth a visit. Be sure to grab a bite to eat in back! A solid 4 stars. 00331

Best. Bacon. Ever. Seriously, breakfast is amazing here, their ham is juicy, their sausage is flavorful with out being too spiced, and they have the best bacon ever. The only lacking thing is their home fries. They are just plain, which make them taste just like mini steak fries. Not bad, but pales in comparison to the amazing meats they serve. Their bisquit is fluffy and their Sourdough for the 'Eggs in a basket' is wonderful. While the service is not excellent, it's just fine, friendly, but there is only one chef and one guy tending the store. It's on par with what you would expect in a small diner run by just the chef. You will ha e to help you self, and you should because the food is too good to pass up.

Best thin crust tavern style pizza we've had in a long time, in a very unexpected location…read more My wife, her mom, and I had just crossed the Oregon-California border into Oregon and used the nearby Dollar Tree in Brookings to be our end point on our fourth day Internet access had been spotty throughout our trip through Big Sur and then Redwood parks, so used a combination of Google maps and Yelp to find nearby businesses, just for fun. Fat Cat showed up with high ratings. None of us were particularly hungry, but their ratings for thin-crust pizza piqued my interest, so we adjusted our plans and walked in. There was one employee (Ian) working on this mid afternoon time on hump day, so had to get his attention while he was working in the back. You place and pay for your order first, so ordered a medium thin crust pineapple/ham ($15). Not knowing what to expect, I asked if the pizza crust could be made well done. We sat down at the fast food booths, and didn't have to wait long. When the pizza came, all of us knew immediately by the sight and smell that it was going to be great. The crust was the perfect thinness, and the toppings were generous. Our plan was to sample some of it and then take the rest back, but the three of us ended eating every single piece. It was that good. We learned a bit more about the business from Ian. It used to be a franchise pizza joint, but the owner decided to stop being a franchisee, and create a local name. 'Gato Gordo' was thrown out as an early name, with the final name being chosen as the winner from an early Christmas party secret Santa gift. The pizza crust is consistently made by a dough sheeter at a low thinness setting. This might be sacrilegious, but I think I prefer this way vs the hand tossed NY style that is way more prevalent (and way more expensive).

Update on my review I was contacted this morning by a…read moregentleman named Joel and this is what he wrote: Hi Dea, this is Joel from SeaFront Baking Company. Thank you for your feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed our decor and presentation. I apologize for the experience with the hot chocolate and avocado toast. I refunded the toast. Your comments are invaluable for our improvement. We appreciate your input and hope to serve you better in the future. I wasn't expecting that at all! So I'm very impressed that they received my constructive criticism in a positive way, and then to refund me for part of my order was very generous. I stated before I would like to give them another chance and now for sure I will! This was my first time here at SeaFront bakery. I heard this place has been here for about 2 years. I was really hoping this place would be good. It's a nice looking establishment especially inside. I'll start with what I liked: It's a good looking place with plenty of seating, very nice setting and has a gift area available, with so many delightful goodies, mugs, stickers clothing etc. it's spacious inside with lots of seating and a very cute area to sit by a wood stove. I really liked the decor. But I was disappointed with the food the hidden fees and the service. I ordered from my table on the QR code I ordered the avocado toast and a small hot chocolate (if you want whipped cream it's $.50 extra) I would have preferred to have gone up and ordered but it was pretty busy so I decided to try the QR code. There is no option to not tip, but there are 3 options to tip. Here's the thing, the servers don't come to the table to take your order and they don't bring you your food, you either order at the counter or on the QR code, and you pick up your order when they call your name. The area I was seated at, you couldn't hear them call the names for the orders, so I had to go and stand by the counter, so that I didn't miss my order. I guess I should have just ordered at the counter, I'm not exactly sure what the QR code did to save any time or allow me to remain at the table. I received my hot chocolate first, I was looking forward to trying it. I took a couple sips and could hardly taste the chocolate. I took it back up to the counter and waited politely until I could get the girls attention and asked if she could please add more chocolate. I explained that I could barely taste the chocolate, in my hot chocolate. The girl that I asked said, "yeah I guess so"? she wasn't too accommodating. After dealing with the hot chocolate issue it still didn't taste any better, I used to be a barista I know good hot chocolate and this hot chocolate was not good. My name was called a second time, I got my avocado toast. It was covered in cooked cherry tomatoes with balsamic vinegar, avocado, 1 egg over medium. The presentation was beautiful, but I ordered avocado "toast" the bread was not toasted or barely was and with all of the mushy textures and the bread not toasted it was a mushy mess! I just didn't care for it, too many mushy textures and no toast to break up the moisture. The textures are what got me. Darn it! I was disappointed with the food and hot chocolate (that cost extra for whipped cream) Hot chocolate and whipped cream go together in my opinion, and shouldn't be charged for it! And I don't appreciate being forced to tip! Please don't get me wrong, I've worked in the food industry most of my life, so I understand about tipping! Not sure if I will be going back there, however, If I do, I will not order from the QR code, I will not order the avocado toast, and I will definitely not the hot chocolate. Here is the breakdown of my cost: Avocado toast (there was no toast, bread yeah, ok) with garlic aïoli, blistered cherry tomatoes, balsamic vinegar, fresh basil, Sunnyside egg (it was not Sunny-side, it was over medium) $12 1-12oz hot chocolate (no whip that cost extra) $5 Tip $2.07 CA Tax $1.42 TOTAL: $20.74
