This was going to be an almost 4-star review: the car wasn't what we had requested, but it was still a good car. The driver needed help getting space ready for all our luggage (and ended up dropping a suitcase), but he was courteous. But it became a 1-star review when the final invoice came: a $60 surcharge for extra wait. Let me explain: they offer a 60-minute grace period for airport pickups. Our pickup was scheduled to 8:30pm, so when we reached baggage claim with our little ones after a 6-hour flight around 8:30pm, I texted the driver to confirm if we still had an hour to use the restroom and grab a quick bite before heading home. Upon confirmation, that's what we did: we used the restroom and ate bagels, meeting the driver around 9:30pm, our limit grace period. No extra charge, right? Yes, $60 - the most expensive restroom stop and bagels I ever had. They say the grace period starts when the airplane touches the ground. So it doesn't matter how long you spend on the tarmac, or if you're the last one to leave the plane (because little ones), or how long you have to wait for your luggage, or that your scheduled time was 45m after the plane landed, or that you texted the driver to make sure you had enough time left - they will make sure you're accountable for every minute. So if you book with them, beware: the ride and the driver might be ok, but make sure to only trust the fine print on the contract. Addendum: they contacted me and sorted out the misunderstanding. Not only they will refund the extra charges, they will update the contract to make it clearer and tell drivers to remind customers when they're going to incur extra charges (and their value). I have mixed feelings about this service. Our first pick up was stressful because of an unapologetically late driver. And the person I spoke to at the office offered no apology as well. 40 minutes late is not acceptable, but Chris reached out and made things better from a customer service perspective. This on its own would merit 3 stars for me. The reason I am giving 4 stars is due to our driver who picked us from the airport and took us home. Danielle was on time and braved the Saturday night traffic at LAX. She was outgoing and helpful; communicated with us the time prior to pick up and updated us as she was making her way through LAX. The vehicle was comfortable and it was nice to relax after a long plane trip. I believe in second chances, so I would try them again in the future. read more

This is a great company. I received email confirmation of my booking in advance. On the day of our pick up I got a text saying our driver was his way with his name. Our car arrived ahead of scheduled pickup time. We requested childseats which were provided. The car was clean and today and our driver checked if temperature in the car was ok for us. When I wanted to add a meet and greet to our booking a quick phone call and all was sorted. Our Driver Jacob was very friendly and engaged the kids as well. The first time the service was good, the guy came in on time. The second time I booked with them thinking it would be the same, as per the operator, the dispatcher canceled the reservation for no reason, I did not know this, I waited for them at the airport for more than an hour with my wife and 3 kids. I called the office and a lady hang up the phone on me with out providing me any help, called back to ask her if that is how they trained her, her response was ya, her name starts with b.. I know for sure I would not trust this company any more. They could even make you miss your flight, they have no courtesy call when they cancel reservation. I can see why this business has a 5-star rating!!! The drivers and other employees are the complete definition of prompt and professional. I cannot tell you how fed up I have been with drivers from SuperShuttle and Taxi cab companies showing up late or not at all. Well, I did not experience any of that with the Elite Black Car company. In fact, the drivers (on two occasions) showed up 5 minutes early! In one instance, the driver was standing outside of the car with the door open waiting for my arrival. NICE!!! What I appreciate about this company is that you receive immediate emails and text messages ensuring the efficiency of each driver and the company in general. Yes, the services that this company provides are a bit on the pricey side... but I guess you get what you pay for because the drivers are dressed in nice business suits, open and close the doors for you, arrive before your pick-up time, are courteous, and drive safely (as opposed to the erratic driving that taxi and supershuttle drivers do). Also, I was pleasantly surprised by how nice, clean, and good-looking the cars are. I was picked up twice in their SUV-style black car and it was the epitome of luxury. They even provide water. I had a driver named Floyd from the moment I got up to the car he asked if I needed help with my bags and opened the door for me.
