Thomas Transportation is a private transportation company that has been in business for over 15 years and was formerly known as 'Super Shuttle'. I booked the company for the airport pick up / drop off services, but they also do corporate, holidays, sporting event, birthday, prom/homecoming, or other personal needs (e.g. wedding, medical, etc). [Price]: Many shuttle service companies in LA don't have transparent pricing (customers need to fill out a form under 'contact us' before receiving a quote). Thomas Transportation offer instant online quote by filling out order type, date and time, pick up/drop off address, and passenger count. Other places quote like $4.75 per mile but this place offers $3.50 per mile. * If your flight is cancelled, then you will receive an automatic 100% refund with no questions asked. * If you order a point-to-point shuttle service, there will be a $70 minimum or base fee and every additional mile will be $5. Price will not change, no surge pricing here. * The company charges additional $5 for arrivals for the airport pick up fee that is charged from the airport. Driver will come right to customers at curbside of your terminal and load your luggage. No need to take a shuttle to designated pick up location at LAX. * 20% surcharge for pickups from 2 AM - 6 AM. * If you would like additional stops, it will be a minimum of $20 or mileage rate will apply if further than 5 miles from original stop. * Meet and greet = additional fee of $40. Driver will meet you at baggage claim with a sign of your party's last name. Driver will help grab baggage off of carousel and transport luggage to vehicle. * The company asks that customers are on time and no longer than 15 minutes late. After 15 minutes, then you will be charged $2 per minute. Driver will only wait and additional 15 minutes before a no show will be issued and no refund will be given. I was surprised to see a BMW parked at curbside of my terminal ready to load our luggage. I was even more amazed that she held the curside spot for us despite traffic control tried to tell our driver to get moving. It was an extremely comfortable ride back home. I just wanted to sing the praises of Thomas Transportation! We recently used them for a pickup from LAX, and the entire experience was smooth from start to finish. The booking process was seamless--they were super responsive via both text and email, which made everything easy and stress-free. I posted my experience because it did not live up to my expectations. I booked a 6:45am pick up (giving myself 25 min from my 6:20 arrival time). I waited outside, and when the driver still had not shown up 10 min after scheduled pick up, I texted him. He showed up at 7:15. At no point did I feel "rage" as you seem to claim, nor did I ask for any money. I was just disappointed that my pickup did not happen as expected and posted about my experience. I thought that since you asked for our flight info, our driver would know when our flight landed and that he would at least be circling for curb pick up at 6:45. If this makes me unreasonable, so be it. With all the 5 star reviews, I did not think this was unreasonable expectation. Again, as stated in my original review, I had hoped this was an anomaly. As a yelper, I appreciate hearing from customers who might have had an off experience from a usually 5 star business. But based on your response, it sounds like this kind of delay from your airport curbside pickup service should be expected, especially at such a busy airport (and according to you, some people wait even longer than I did and didn't feel the need to leave a review)! Updated review: Booking easy. Was a little nervous as we needed to get picked up at 3:30am. No Problem. They texted me stating the driver would be at our pick up within 1/2 hr. He was on time and drive to airport was easy. Would totally use again!! Return was just as easy. Our flight was delayed 2 1/2 hours. So we didn't arrive until 2:00 AM. I just texted Thomas to let them know that we were delayed and they were able to make the adjustment.
