After asking a few questions to the cashier the owner approached me and told me I was taking up too much time and began to yell in my face and berate my appearance. He told me I looked like a skin head and that I had terminal cancer. I left crying and he continued to shout at me from a distance. I have no idea what is this guys problem because overall everything was fine until he showed up. If I could rate this place 0 stars I absolutely would. Owner replied " We all agree that you must be a disgruntled local competitor. Just work harder at becoming better. You should be ashamed at yourself for posting this message. You were never a client of ours and that is the absolute truth. It's common knowledge that we are not that kind of studio." Though I am not affiliated with anyone in the tattoo or piercing industry. You should see the other comments this guy leaves and then edits later. If anyone reading this review wants to know what kind of person this guy is just take a look through the comment history. I had John for my earlobes to be pierced for the second time after the first ones closed up, and he was wonderful! John was super nice, friendly, and not intimidating. He complimented me many times and was not creepy at all. I'm always afraid of getting men at tattoo shops, but John and the other older guy that worked today at 1:00pm seemed to be very nice. I, also, very much recommend this studio a lot! The front desk lady was very nice and friendly as well. I am from Chesterfield and thought I was calling the Chesterfield location, but it turned out I had called the Centerline shoppe. For both earlobes, it was $50 total. $25 per piercing. They had great pricing-Lance Kellar's pricing was about $70 for either both or one. I can't remember but either way, Elite Ink was cheaper! I'm somewhat new Detroit and went to Elite based on their press. I'm very pleased with the whole experience. I went to a few other studios and none made such a good first impression in terms of welcoming, answering questions and working out my design. And pricing was straight forward which I appreciated. Ashley was my artist and I was pleasantly surprised to learn she had a formal fine Arts background from CCS. She placed my design perfectly between tattoos. Positioning is key to a good piece and not every artist has that eye. She was very charming as well and made sitting in the chair quite relaxing. The final product was perfect and quick. I have a cover up to do and Ashley came up with a really great suggestion which really flowed with the entirety of my pieces. Yesterday, I had an appointment at Elite Ink (Centerline) to have a consultation for tattoo removal, with John. Well, my tattoo (green) would end up coasting a ton of money for little results, this was my third opinion. Instead of trying to talk me into getting a coverup, I was given a reference to a few other places for laser tattoo removal. John spent about 30 minutes educating me on the process. I've never had customer service like that at a tattoo shop! I've seriously been to countless all over MI and FL. I went back today with a friend from work and we both had our Daiths pierced! Elite Ink has great vibes, cleanliness is outstanding, staff is very professional, awesome selection of jewelry and amazing prices! I plan to continue to drive from Shelby Township to Elite Ink from here on out! read more

Got my tattoo done by Elite Tattoos over a fee months ago. The tattoo artist did an amazing job with the consult and even more so of a better job on the actual day I got the tattoo...since I was kinda nervous he talked to me like I was a normal person who had gotten this done before by making conversation it made me relax and before I knew it my tattoo was done. He had said I am gonna start off slow and like I said before I knew it he was finished. My husband was there while I got my 1st ever tattoo! The place itself was clean, well organized and very welcoming from the time we walked through the door, to the place where my tattoo was done, and even after we left it was an amazing experience from beginning to the end. read more

Awesome experience at Elite Ink. John took great care of me! He is super nice and very knowledgeable. As the owner, I can tell he really takes pride in his job. Immaculately clean and comfortable atmosphere. Awesome music playing. I had a piercing done, and he was super quick, but careful to do it correctly. I am trained in sterile techniques as performed in the hospital..as a result, I am careful to watch artists during that process and make sure it is followed. John did not disappoint. My cat passed away a week ago and I was looking for an artist who could make the tattoo look real. Ryan is THE guy to go to!! He helped me choose which flowers to use and even free-handed the leaves on the side to make it look better! The whole time during the tattoo, Ryan held a great conversation and was very quick and sweet! The second I walked in the studio, I was greeted with a smile and great customer service from John. everybody I spoke with was delightful and I am so thrilled to always have my baby Dot with me forever, thank John and Ryan for making this happen! My two friends and I went into the shop yesterday in hopes of getting in for a walk in tattoo. We were greeted quickly and kindly by the owner at the counter and ended up being able to get tattoos from Ashley. Ashley was nice and did an amazing and quick job on all three of us. For those reading negative comments based on a day that was abnormally busy, I wouldn't base your decision off of that. Make an appointment or go in on a day that isnt insanely busy and you will get excellent customer service and leave with a nice tattoo. Wow! I just got my third tattoo ever and I am so happy I went there. The staff was really nice and made me feel very comfortable. The shop was really cool too (they had a popcorn machine- how awesome is that?).... I cannot wait until my next tattoo. I will be coming to this shop a lot. I was treated very good as a customer walking in off the street. I had the basic idea of what I wanted, having drawings with me of what I had in mind. Their technicians agreed on which one of them could give me the most very best of what I was searching for and brought me in to take care of the paper work and get started. Within a few hours I was showing off my new art work and got a new lite Ink tee shirt for free also. I am still proud to show off that Tattoo and all the others I've gotten since. Had another amazing experience at Elite Ink! I first came to Elite Ink a few years ago to get my navel pierced. My first experience was so amazing I went back today to get more piercings. I got 2 piercings done by John and it was by far the best experience ever. He was super nice and made me feel really comfortable. The studio has a really great atmosphere and the rest of the staff was also very nice. I'm so happy I went back there for my piercings and will continue too! I love getting work done at Elite Ink whether it's a tattoo or piercing. Don the owner is AMAZING!! He is so professional and courteous. I do think though sometimes their prices are way to high for the work being done. I had 3 words and a simple stick cross put on my arm and the guy charged me $80!! I wasn't there for more than 20 minutes AT MAX!! Not to mention it's just black ink nothing fancy. Overall I still highly reccomend them. They are very clean, professional, and discrete. Came in to get a tattoo to remember my dog. I saw that Elite Ink was doing a customer appreciation day event, so I decided "why not?" I drew this simple dog bone; the artist and Owner John, was able to transfer it exactly how I drew it on a piece of paper to on my skin. I couldn't be happier! My friends also came in with me to get their ears pierced, and so far they are also happy with the outcome. Overall, even though it was busy, the atmosphere and vibes were chill. Went there fo a cover up. Rick skeched a dragon that ended up a half sleeve. The outline was done same day ( no appointment ) which surprised me that this was even possible with such a big tattoo. Throughout next 6 months the half sleeve was finished, and it is the best tattoo I have ever got. Can not even tell what was there before, and the artwork is very detailed and vibrant. The price was also very fair for the finished piece. I will definately come back again for another piece. read more

Oh my goodness! Fabulous shop, amazing people! I went in to get my Daith pierced in both ears to see if it would help at all with my debilitating migraines. I was very skeptical it would work, but was desperate for another option. John really helped calm my fears and made me feel very comfortable. It has been 10 weeks now and not one single migraine! Walked in Sunday, less than an hour before close to get my nipples pierced. Everyone was super friendly, my piercer was one of the other artists there and he was very friendly and social. I was a little scared but he was reassuring and honestly, the pain was manageable with no swelling or bleeding afterwards. He walked me through the aftercare and gave me his card because he offered to fix one of my messed up tats. Would 100% recommend for piercings! Thanks Ray! read more

Orhan did my cover up tattoos on my wrists, and he did an absolute phenomenal job! I couldn't be happier. He has an awesome personality as well, makes it easy to talk to if you're on the shy side (like myself). He has very detailed ideas and takes in any ideas to make your tattoo the perfect result.
