These guys were totally going to rip me off on redoing part of my roof. As always I get 2 quotes from two different companies with any work I get done whether it's home improvement, auto, ect. They were the first ones I called and they came out took a look at what I need to get done and quoted me. Next company came out and their price for the same work was way lower! These guys will totally rip you off. I wasn't going to leave a review and just leave it be but to my surprise I'm waiting in a drive thru to pick up food and it's a pretty long line. This review is a warning to those who are considering using elite roofing services, and an advisory to those who have. Elite roofing services came to my house to do a re-paper on my home. They charged me to do the wood repair that they had found and said it was needed and completed the job. Had it not been for another company inspecting my roof and finding out that it was collapsing would I have known any of the following story was happening. Upon further inspection we found that the roof was collapsing and had to remove the tiles. during the process of removing the tiles we exposed the work done by elite roofing services, it was found that they did not do the work we had paid them for, the roof wood that was supposedly replaced was not and much of the roof was still rotted. They put new paper over old paper when the old paper was removed major wood damage was found. It's at this point I realized that elite roofing services has completely ripped me off and done almost nothing and charged me a large amount of money. They cut major beams and propped them up with two by fours to make the roof look flat (see pictures) panel after panel that was inspected was rotted. We found no wood replaced and that was $8000 worth of the bill The list of nefarious things they did is too long to list. Let's just say they even reused the old rusty nails. I think that pretty much wraps up how bad it is. As much as I hope this prevents anyone from giving elite Roofing Services new business, I am most concerned with those of you who think he did a good job. I had an initial consult with John and explained to him that my main issue was energy efficiency and solutions to cool my house down with a unique structure, no attic space, and exposed wood beams inside. John suggested I replace my existing skylights with a version that can open to decompress the heat. Additionally, he suggested a TPO cool roof system that provides for additional deflection of heat. I must say, the results have been great. The house is significantly cooler, by about 7 degrees. And the roof and skylights look beautiful. Couldn't be happier with the outcome! read more

I had to have my roof completely redone after they failed to tell me that the tiles on my roof were too heavy. They removed them laid down new paper and put them back on knowing they were too heavy for the supporting beams. They still have made no attempt to, make the situation better. This was such a positive experience for us. This is our first home and the first time we've had to take on Re-roofing. John Zazueta answered all of our questions and concerns in a timely, honest, and professional manner every step of the way. The price was perfect for us and they included the installation of three solar tubes ( which brightened our home considerably and we are LOVING). The work was completed in 2.5 days, that's Remove the existing layer of roofing and hauling it away, installing a roof underlayment, new flashing, and then new shingles. They even cleaned the gutters. I have a lot of plants and was a little worried they might suffer during the removal of the old roof, but they had lots of people on hand that day to clean up all around the ground as they went and None of my plants were harmed. Sometimes it's the little things that make big things delightful. Speaking of delight, my son was home sick from school during this and very crabby, Watching the workers out the window brought him joy, and when the crane came to deliver the shingles the second day, he was over the moon. This is an awesome roofing company! I had 3 quotes and Elite was the best. John came out for an initial quote, one day after I sent an inquiry! He was professional, on time, thorough, and explained the entire process. We wanted to wait until after the holidays and we needed HOA approval. I was sent a day and time and it was perfect. For tear off, a group of workers came at 730am, ready to work. They stayed the day, cleaned up, and let me know when they were leaving. The next day, they showed up again, on time, and got to work. I dealt directly with owner, Alfredo, after a rainstorm caused the roof to leak in my home. Initially, he was quick to respond, provided a free estimate and seemed genuine and upfront. The pricing was good and he provided a two year warranty (in writing) on the repairs. After the work was finished, I thought, "How great, an honest and capable roofer! What a find!" Fast forward to this past January, we started getting leaks in the same location. But that's not a problem, Alfredo stands by his work and guaranteed it to be leak-free. I called the business and was unable to reach anyone as it was past business hours and left a message explaining the situation. I also left a short message on his cell the following day, not having heard back yet. He had been prompt to return calls for the initial repair, but this change left me with a feeling in my gut; you know that gut instinct that lets you know things are about to get complicated. Despite my gut, I still gave Alfredo the benefit of the doubt. Maybe an assistant called in sick and no one was there to man the phones and maybe coincidentally his cell wasn't working at the same time. That happens, right? (No. No it doesn't.) I sent this email on January 7th, 2016: " Hi Alfredo! I'm sure you are extremely busy with the recent rains. When you get the chance could we set up a time for you to take a look at my roof/ceiling? We developed another leak yesterday. Hope to hear from you soon, Andrew " Short, sweet, and to the point. Even gave him an out for not getting back to me. No call back. No email response. Did I call again? Yup. Did it change anything? Nope. It has been exactly one month since and I have yet to receive any word from the company or Alfredo. Yet another unreliable contractor. The only folks I can recommend Alfredo and Elite Roofing Services to are those who are in search of the thrill that comes from scrambling for buckets, occasionally punctuated by fruitless calls falling on deaf ears. I received 5 quotes and Elite's proposal was the most thorough and professionally written to include all of the details about the project, and was the most competitive in their pricing. John Z. came out for an initial quote, one day after I sent an inquiry. He was professional, on time, thorough, answered all of my questions, and explained the entire process to my sister. His proposal made it clear exactly what would be done during the course of the work and clearly stated the payment terms and warranty duration backed by the manufacturer and by Elite Roof Services. The work was scheduled, started, and completed all within the timeline stated (3 days) and the cost as quoted. The crew was friendly and professional in detailing all of the shingle installation as per the manufacturer's specifications and National Roofing Contractors Association guidelines. They made sure everything was cleaned up daily and on the last day left the premises as clean as when they arrived. The office at Elite forwarded the completed manufacturer warranty and after a thorough inspection, I can happily say that the new roof looks great. read more

Bruno came to evaluate the roof on Monday, emailed me a quote on Wednesday, the crew started working on Friday and finished the job on Monday. They even installed a missing gutter drain on the front of the house at no additional charge (if we went with them, which we did). They also had the best quote out of the 4 companies we reached out to. We highly recommend them. Great service. My Elite Roof Services started out good but as soon as they got paid, they haven't executed any of their promises. They ordered too many shingles and other materials. Alfredo promised that he would return them and get my refund. His men took the materials and I haven't seen them since. His workers opened 9 bundles of shingles and took a couple out of each package to finish the roof which made they nonreturnable. I understand a couple of bundles to be opened but I believe 9 is excessive. This was $514.10 worth of materials that they took to be returned and excessive material made nonreturnable due to the negligence of the workman. This may not seem like a lot in the overall cost of the roof but it's my money and they shouldn't be benefitting from the materials they took ($258.59). This is in affect "stealing." The exhaust vent to the stove was removed but not covered to prevent roofing material from falling down into the vent of the microwave. I had to removed the ducting inside the cabinet to remove the debris. I have some missing flashing and oil from their compressor on my roof. Alfredo said he would send someone out to fix it but haven't heard back from him since. Because of the lack of response, I doubt if the 5 year workmanship warranty is of any value since they don't seem to respond once they get paid. Overall the roof installed was of good workmanship (besides the missing flashing) but don't expect any kind of follow up after getting paid. Make sure all your issues are resolved before paying them because you won't see them again. read more

I had a contractor take my money and run. But before he ran out, he did some roof work to my house (fascia, eaves, rafters, siding, etc..). Once I got the hint that he isn't coming back, I decided to give Elite Roof Services a call. Spoke to Alfredo and he had one of his guys come and give me an estimate of the work. Later that day, his guy came out and he was very knowledgeable about roofing and carpentry. He discovered that ALL the work that the previous contractor completed was all wrong, and explained to me what/why things were done wrong. A day later, I receive a call from Alfredo with a price and I accepted. For the amount of work that needed to be done, it was a fair quote. Days later, his guys come in and knock out tons of work. I was impressed by the amounts of work that they were getting done per day. While doing the repairs, they discovered other things that needed attention, which they would inform me about and not leave unattended. They also discovered that the last contractor broke over 300 of my roof tiles. They ordered the roof tiles (took a couple days) and correctly installed them after correcting all the wood/roof issues. I'm very satisfied with the work they do. I will not hesitate to call them again myself, or refer them to anybody who needs work on their roof. Call them if you want things done right ! read more

Alfredo and crew did a great job on my roof! I needed a new roof as part of my solar installation and they had to tear off 3 layers of old asphalt (the last one we put on 20 years ago). It's a brutal process to get the old asphalt taken off, but Alfredo sent his crew on the date we set and they accomplished it in one day. In addition to completely cleaning up all the mess, since there was a possibility of rain, Alfredo directed them to cover the bare wood with the underlayment before they left for the day. They installed the Owens Corning Solution over the next 3 days, including a ridge-top vent system and replaced any damaged wood as part of the quote. They are Owens Corning certified and were completely responsive to any requests I had during the process. I was completely satisfied with the quality and customer service of this company and love my new roof! read more
