I had a water pipe break in my condo. I called Elite Rooter. They came out with a contractor. I was completely overwhelmed, 3 huge men standing in my office telling me what to say to Insurance Co. to get as much money as possible. Elite Rooter had me sign a contract. on the top of the page was a $5,000 price which I did not see. They didn't even know what was damaged at that point. Then they had me put $600 on a credit card and another $500 check. It was the washing machine that had the leak. The next day they came back 3 hours late. They pulled washer dryer out and fixed the leak. They did not fix all the bad couplings behind the washer dryer. On another note, the water dispenser on my refrigerator came out through the bottom. They pulled the refrigerator out scratching and goughing my wood floors. The water dispenser still does not work.. Now they had me write post-dated checks for $500 and one for $3600. I stopped payment on one $500 and the $3600. They thought insurance would cover this all. I fired them and the insurance company recommended another company. They fixed it all and the total bill was less than what Elite Rooter tried to charge me. They are bullies and dishonest people. They don't deserve even one star. I've already contacted a Lawyer. They didn't even deserve the $1,600 paid. read more

I had issues with my shower faucet leaking and had to call a few plumbing companies. I was able to get Elite rooter to come out right away the same day and Ricardo was the technician. Ricardo called me before he came over to make sure he has the right parts and he was on time. He was very attentive and identified the cartridge as the problem. The part didn't work but he stayed on top of it and came back the next morning to replace it. Ricardo did a great job and I am happy with the overall service. I attempted to fix a clogged drain in my bathroom sink and ended up pulling the pipe right out of the wall. I called several plumbers to help me. Kristian from Elite Rooter came over and told me it would be a huge job, it would take half the day. He said my bathroom wall would need to be cut open. The pipe would need to be completely replaced for $1,200. The next day Mike from Regional Elite Plumbing (found him on Yelp too) checked it out and said he could repair the damage using a pipe fitting connector. Took him about 30 minutes and cost $150. Their technician, Cody was very friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable about plumbing. He had several recommendations and had suggested that we go with the same size water heater. He had to redo our inlet and outlet piping due to the fact that it was old, kinked so bad, and not enough pipe to work with. So, he had cut the drywall and redid the pipes. Our main bathroom drain clogged so I called in Elite Rooter. I wanted a different company as we'd used another company for a big pipe replacement last year and I wasn't impressed with aspects of the job they did (communication, clean up etc). I have been very impressed with the team Elite Rooter sent out and I think that is their strong point. David in particular is just the nicest, most professional guy and the other men - Eric, Kenny, Padraic and Joe, were a pleasure to deal with. I find having strangers and workmen tramping all over the house stressful and they tried their best to be as intrusive as possible. They also are sensitive when dealing with the stress and confusion that comes with finding out your clogged drain is a huge job and Devin gave excellent guidance with the insurance process. In terms of the work - it looks good, they were fast, they knew what they were doing, and they had good supervision. They also cleaned up after themselves, sealed everything properly and knew all about not leaving gates open for dogs to escape and so on. So all in all: great service. * Update. Our three kitchen sinks clogged seriously. We hired a handyman but he could not do the job. The technician, Steven, came to our house within about an hour. He was very professional and friendly. He explained the situation to me and got the drain cleaned quickly with his power snake. This is an overdue review. We hired Elite through a friend's recommendation and got a different team. Unsure if it's the people they worked with vs ours that made a difference but going with Elite Rooter in general was a huge mistake on our part. We had a root issue back in August of 2020. I'm unsure if it was because of covid protocols but they decided to get to our pipes through our home exterior. After two days of jackhammering through the concrete and house, they found that our pipes were encased in cement, I'm guess that's not how it's supposed to be done. The technician called his supervisor and he came to inspect, said they can't get to the pipe from outside and will have to dig from in. I don't understand why they couldn't do that in the first place. He used some detector thing and said the roots are in pretty deep and to get to it, they'll have to go further into our house and the quote pretty much doubled. My husband and I just bought the house a few months ago and had new flooring put in. We couldn't afford them and said no, we will need to look for other options. They still charged us the original quote minus $1000 (which we're still paying off) and didn't fill in the large whole that was jackhammered on our yard and house. We were able to find another company who quoted us 1/3 of what Elite Rooter gave. They were able to remove the pipe and root from the side of our interior with minimal floor damage. read more

I'm hoping others have a different experience than I did with Elite Rooter. I had an appointment for an estimate to run a new mainline and to look at possibly upgrading to a tankless water heater. So roughly a $10k job. This work was required due to our mainline being broken under the driveway leaking 25-30 gallons of water an hour. I was told I'd have a few estimates later that night (options offered by the technician). To me this was important so that I could make a decision on a contractor to do the work asap. I never received an estimate, text the technician a follow up, he asked for a few days. Here I am 12 days later never did receive that estimate. read more
