Elite Rooter caused damage to a new brick paver walkway that they had no concern to protect from the weight of their 7000 lb exicator, the cost and work to repair the walkway under warranty was $1,200 which I paid for. Elite did acknowledged that the damage was caused by their negligent crew, and told me that the check was in the mail, however now over 2.5 months always the same excuse. I will be filing a small claim in Windsor, CO and people please listen to all the the negative reviews here, and, see the complaints even on the bbb.org! DO NOT USE THIS DISGRACEFUL COMPANY.... Took them 2 days, 3 techs, and over 9 hours to ultimately replace two bathroom sink drains ($15 parts). And they replaced them with silver drains that don't match our brushed bronze faucets. It cost us almost $500 because they spent the whole time struggling to figure out why they wouldn't drain properly -- when we told them from the beginning that it looked like it was just the drains themselves that we're getting blocked. They left a new employee there for a full day who was sweet but had absolutely no idea what he was doing. He spent most of the day on the phone begging for help. Ultimately we ended up just paying them to get them out of the house. Other issues: 1. When they left overnight, they left the sinks opened up so our home smelled like sewer gases all night. 2. Part of our concern was that one of our sinks smells like the sewer occasionally -- maybe a venting issue? They did not resolve that. 3. They told us if they had to replace the p-traps it would be another $400 -- which is an insane number for a very cheap part that requires very little labor to replace. 4. This is the second time we used them... the first time our toilet wasn't draining properly. They came by and told us there was nothing wrong, the toilet was just old and we should replace it. I opened it up afterwards and saw that the flapper was falling apart -- replaced it myself in 2 mins and the toilet works just fine. So, in the end we realized we don't really have plumbing issues -- we have plumber issues. We were asked to leave a review maybe a dozen times. Super pushy. Anyways -- here's your review. read more

I had a backed up sewer main line. I chose Elite as thought it was small local company and found out later that it is not a small local company. The tech arrived and within a short time stated that the line was blocked ten feet from the clean out entry and he could not continue as the company policy is not attempt to break through a blockage with the rooter and to stop. I had the drain videoed a few years before and knew that within ten feet it was in plastic (SDR) pipe so either SDR failed and collasped or something was not making sense. The tech called in another tech with the camera and they started to show the sewer line. We went right past ten feet and nothing in the line. My line changes from SDR to clay and there were minor roots growing in at the clay pipe joints and city made a repair to the line a few years ago and that was noted. We found a blockage around 75 feet of white materials. The camera tech stated due to the root balls, the clay pipe joints and this major blockage that I needed to have my line replaced and also lined in the other sections at the cost of at least $23,000 and when could they get started. This took the tech about 5 seconds to come up with the price to replace the line. I said that I needed to discuss with my wife and that we would talk tomorrow. Due to a previous issue with sewer line there was a root ball about 75 feet that I was recommended to clean the root ball and I forgot about this until i saw the blockage at 75 feet. I took the video and sent to two other plumbers and both said the line is not perfect but does not need to be replaced today. One stated they would attempt to go through the blockage their rooter which they showed up and went though it. It was also recommended by one of the other companies to start using root killer to help remove and slow the root growth. I feel that Elite was not being truthful and dishonest and would not recommend as luckily I had previous knowledge of the line and also some good advice from other professionals. read more

We called Elite Rooter Saturday 11/28/21, for a backed up sewer , they arrived and gave. an estimate of 360.00 to start , the removed a toilet and ran a small blade to clear the line. after getting the line. to drain. the took a video , of the line to identify the the problem , they managed to punch a small hole about 37' out to allow the drain to flow , The tech then proceeded to sell a Clean up job with an estimate of 6000.00 to start by their " sister company" , my adult daughter who was on site. declined this , they packed up and left , Within 24 hours the sewage backed up again , this would be Sunday , the place was no longer inhabitable. We needed to find her a place to lives short term. I called Elite rooter the following day Monday 11/30/21 and explained the issue. they said they would have the tech contact me. I said I would prefer to talk to the manager , I was told she was busy and couldn't come to the phone , I insisted to no avail. the person took my phone number and name. and said she would call me when she was available. I'm writing this Wednesday , 12/1 /21 and have yet to hear from anybody at Elite Rooter. We had a clogged drain from our kitchen sink. I tried to snake it myself and was unsuccessful. I looked at customer reviews and started to call a few different services. Elite Rooter had favorable customer reviews and was able to come out to my home the next days. I worked with Gustavo (field tech) and Augie (manager) to address the clog. Gustavo tried to snake the pipe to free it but the clog was too severe so he used the hydro jet process and was able to clear the pipe. Gustavo walked through the process with me step by step, was efficient and did a nice job of cleaning up after the work was completed. I would definitely recommend using them for future needs. read more

I had a main line water backup this AM. Called Elite Rooter and talked to them in detail about needing my main line snaked for roots, how long the line was and the access point. I was quoted $79. When they arrived, they said that since it was a toilet removal access point (a 5 minute removal and reset) it would be $324!!!! They are scammers!!!!! I was having plumbing problems in my bathroom and called a reliable sewer company I have used before. When Elite Plumbing came out I was told they I was going to have to have new sewer pipes put in. I needed to have the work done as it was an emergency to get the bathroom unclogged. I had to go through agree on payment for them to start. I am on fixed income and no way have 15,000.00 so needless to say had to go through credit through them. At the same time the front faucet was shooting water out and I was told they will fix that. T couldn't get the part so they would just block it until they came back with a fimaucet. They came back and said they have never seen a faucet like this so they would just come back in the spring to spring to fix the faucet. Come spring time they never came back several calls made and no replies. In the spring you need to water the lawn so had to call another company and they came out and come to find out the way the plugged the faucet was with a gas pipe if you can imagine. I was charged for that work of putting a new faucet on and for the work they did to block the faucet, so paid for something that wasn't done and also had to pay another company to come out and do the work. I do believe I was scammed and they figured I was 80 years old and didn't know any better and a women. If I aknm asked about this company I will not give a garsood rating and also I am 1 1/2 years later I was told they want me to contact them ro resolve this I called them and of coure like all the other calls the call person said they will have the manager call me back. Hmmmm should I believe them, I don't think so. This company will majorly rip you off on pricing. I used them twice this summer. The first time was a big job so I didn't really have a gauge on if the price was fair or not, but after talking to another plumber I know now that I got ripped off. I gave them $8000 to do a job, which required them to remove the toilet in one of our bathrooms 8-10 times. The toilet became loose, and wasn't able to be tightened down. I called them again (I stupidly thought they might hook me up, since I just gave them 8k) to fix the toilet so it wouldn't wobble. Dude charged me $275 to replace one bolt on the toilet, which took him less than five minutes, and it was messed up from them taking the toilet off so many times! I also had them install a garbage disposal, which they charged $485 to do. The guy told me he was going to buy it at Home Depot so I looked up the model and it was $99. Took him ten minutes to put it in. They charged me $800 for less than 15 minutes of work. Then the next day we used the dishwasher and it wouldn't drain, because the disposal wasn't hooked up properly. So I had to have them come out AGAIN to fix it. Can't believe they didn't charge me several hundreds to fix their own mistake! Long story short, their prices suck. Tyler and some of the other dudes who did the work were awesome- can't fault them for their company charging insane prices. Y'all could have had a lifelong customer... but when you price gouge someone who just gave you a ton of money and is asking you to fix something you broke, I'm out! read more

Our toilets were backing up. Elite Rooter was the first to respond to our service request and had an appointment the next morning. It was only $79 to run the rooter through to remove blockage, but our problem was much worse. The old clay pipes had broken and sunk below the necessary grade. They were able to scope the problem and get to work quickly. They understood the cost was huge and unexpected so they offered options and did their best to keep it to a minimum cost to trench across our concrete patio and halfway into the garage floor as well. All very friendly and hard working, I feel we found the best choice for our plumbing needs. read more

We were unlucky to have groundwater seep into our crawlspace in June. We were very lucky to find Elite Rooter to respond to the problem. They took us through emergency water mitigation, sump pump installation and french drain construction to solve a complex situation in a fairly short amount of time. The Elite Rooter team was fantastic. Robert Cole was the lead contact, and his calm reassurance and professionalism absolutely saved my peace of mind. Senior technician Augustin Ramirez crafted the plan to stop the problem in its tracks. I called to get a sink line that is about 10 feet long cleared out. The dispatcher gave me a 2 hour window when the tech would arrive, and that I would receive a call prior to arrival. I had to take the day off work to be available to be flexible to meet the tech during the 2 hour window. 40 mins past the 2 hour window, I called to find out where the tech was. While I was on the call with the dispatcher, the tech called to tell me he would be there shortly. Nearly an hour later the finally arrived. During his visit the tech tried to sell me multiple different services which was frustrating since I kept explaining that all that was needed was the line cleared. This felt like a paid sales call. Yes, he cleared the line and it has been draining fine since, which is all I needed. When payment was due, the tech explained that the $79 rate was promotional and did not qualify for a 30 day guarantee on the drain cleaning. What company doesn't provide at least a 30 day guarantee? Why wasn't this explained prior to payment? I won't be utilizing Elite Rooter again due to the lack of professionalism. read more

I called Elite Rooter first thing in the morning, as I had just discovered that my back flow prevention device was leaking. Augie came a few hours later (same day!!), looked at the device, explained what was wrong, and provided a quote right away. He went and got the necessary parts, removed the broken device, installed a new one, and then explained what he had done, what had failed, etc. While he was here, I also asked him to take a look at a bathroom faucet; he described what needed to be done and answered all of my questions. I called them because we had a leak from our bathroom. The dispatcher said someone will come out in an hour but no one showed up! No call back until the next day which is absolutely unacceptable when you are dealing with an urgent situation. They finally came out the next day and assessed the problem and quoted me an outrageous estimate for the job. So I called a few other plumbers and their estimate was a LOT cheaper -- I'm talking about one fourth of what they quoted. I will not be using them again in the future. read more

I had Elite out to clear a shower drain and to look at my garbage disposal. the drain was cleared, but I was told I needed a new garbage disposal. I was quoted $900 to replace the disposal, when the average cost is about $150. I declined and had someone else look at the disposal. Not only was he able to easily fix it, I did not need a new disposal. I knew I was being overcharged, but to say something was broken when it wasn't is inexcusable. On Thursday we had an estimate for the work. Shawn came out and was super nice. He said he could fix our leaking pipe Friday around four or five. We were okay with that for a time window because he said he could do it cheaper than anyone else. Friday came and it was getting late so he messaged us saying he was at a nightmare job but could come by Saturday at noon. We agreed. Saturday we rearranged our schedule and around 12:30p.m. my husband texted to see what was going on. He messaged back that he was STILL at a nightmare job (same one) but that he was going to send his brother. We were a bit unsure at this point but he said his brother was already on the way and "Part of the same company" so we decided to just let him fix our pipe. An hour later no one showed up so we messaged him again and he didn't message back. We were getting really annoyed at this point because we had plans for the day. Around 4:30pm we finally hear back from Shawn saying "Hey, I can't get through to my brother can we reschedule?". (I mean what choice do we have?) Unfortunately, no one ever followed up with us or replied to any of our messages after that. My honest impression of this company is that they're way too understaffed and they shouldn't be promising they can be places and then they can't. I called another plumber and he came out in one day, got the work done in two hours, and it's working great now. I wouldn't waste my time here. read more

Do NOT use these people! We had a pipe in our laundry room burst back in August. Elite Rooter came out to evaluate and said it would be $3000 and they needed $1500 up front. We gave them $1500 and they started the work. They jackhammered some and then needed to have someone come inspect it, at which point it was determined they needed to jackhammer twice the distance and it would cost us an additional $1500 and they would need to move our water heater. It needed to be fixed so we agreed. Water heater gets moved and we are told we should now have hot water however after the technician left we tried to use hot water and had none. They came back later to "re-connect" the water heater but we were not getting hot water in half the house. Another technician came out and said he had fixed the problem. That fix was to crank the water heater temperature as high as it goes which is not only a safety hazard but ruins water heaters. We had another plumber come out for a separate issue and he asked to take a look at their work since he was surprised it was taking them so long. He then proceeded to discover they had broken a copper pipe and tried to patch it with an insulating foam sealant instead of fixing the problem. Daniel heard our frustrations and came out and confirmed that the technicians did indeed ruin our water heater and that he would ensure we got it replaced on them. At this point there was no trust with Elite Rooter so we used the 2nd plumber who thoroughly explained how bad of work they had done. The new plumber completed the work the same day! We sent Anette (apparently the ONLY PERSON that deals with refunds/payment) over 20 emails and more than 30 phone calls without response over the last 3 months. They refuse to pay for the replacement water heater that they broke so now we are forced to take them to small claims court. The owner of this company should be ashamed of the quality of work and customer service provided. read more

Contacted these guys on the Thumbtack app because I had a leak. Turns out, I needed a new faucet. Guy comes out and quotes me $1300 to replace a faucet that costs $100, tops. And for a job that takes about a half hour to complete. LOLLLLLLLLLLLLL. The guy was nice, but his office was feeding him the quotes. This company is obviously predatory and is hoping to find gullible people who don't know how to fix things themselves and then exploit that to their gain. In the end, I fixed this myself with a $45 faucet and a 10 minute youtube video. Don't let these predators scam you. read more

They sent a technician to work on my clogged drain. After a few minutes of work, he informed me that he didn't have the proper equipment and he will need to return on Monday to finish the job. I paid the invoice as he was coming back to finish the work. They didn't send anybody back for three days and when I send messages on Yelp it gets marked as read but they don't response. After a few unanswered messages, I started calling. The phone rings but they keep hanging up. They essentially took my money and ceased all communication with me. Don't use them or at least make sure that all the work is performed before you pay them. read more

Do not use this company! I had a broken sewer line, it took them over 3 months to finish the job with lots of problems. They were 50% more in price than another reputable company in the area. They did lower their price, but I noticed a problem when they said they were done. I text the estimator 19 times, even went to the "operations manager" in California to resolve the problem, but to no avail. I had to have another company repair a brand new clean out (broken and misaligned) pipe. I am now in the process of taken Elite to small claims court to get them to settle. They also filed a $15,000 lien on my property because I refused to pay them because they did not finish the job properly. Why does a national company do business this way? read more
