    pasta fagioli (bland)
    Tricia B.

I've lived in Greensboro for 4- 1/2 years now, so I was so far overdue to visit this location. I expected to be disappointed, but I walked away very impressed and kicking myself (figuratively) for not going sooner. The service was fantastic, by both ladies who were at the bar that day. I felt so welcomed. I was torn between chicken parm and spaghetti w/meat sauce, so the waitress who's been there forever suggested that I get the chicken parm with a side of spaghetti with meat sauce -- I was so delighted! I thoroughly enjoyed the meal -- I have a modest appetitite, so I was able to make 2 meals out of it. I was pleased by the freshness of the marinara that was on the chicken parm. And the chicken itself was so flavorful and juicy! I was thoroughly surprised and happy! The spaghetti was good, but I was so glad I didn't order an entire plate of the meat(less) sauce over spaghetti. The pasta fagioli was bland -- next time I'll get a salad instead -- the couple next to me had beautiful and generous side salads.

Best pepperoni mushroom pie in Greensboro

Greeted with a beautiful smile from our hostess. It was not too crowded for Valentine's Day 2026 during lunch hours. We didn't mind at all. Ordered the rotisserie chicken salad and a large mushroom pepperoni pie. It was made to perfection. The best pizza pie I had in a minute. The fireplace felt so good, I will get that seating area next time we visit. This is our favorite pizza restaurant in Greensboro, NC. Can't say enough of the hospitality. Thanks guys!

I always check out the specials but always get the same thing!! lol

Having been spoiled and growing up in the Bronx with Italians, I don't know if I've ever eaten in any Italian restaurants outside of the Bronx that can surpass places like Gino's and Ralphs where Mama was in the kitchen, Papa was running the restaurant and the kids were the busboys and waitresses. Prices were low, portions were huge and meals were about as authentic as they could come! With Italian food being my favorite cuisine, I can't say there is any one particular restaurant in Greensboro that takes my breath away when it comes to Italian food.. with that being said, when I'm looking for a good Italian meal at a decent price with a good portion and convenient, I always tend to gravitate towards Elizabeth's on Lawndale One of the things that I like about Elizabeth's is that it does come with a salad which these days is rare. I also like that it is just a 5 minute drive from my house. I also like the Italian vibe that I get when I go in there. I've often met my friend Nancy there for lunch. One of our favorite "go to" places for lunch. Lunch specials are pretty good, ranging from pizza and a drink to lunch size portions of all kinds of excellent Italian dishes. Nancy and I have swapped all kinds of stories over a bed of pasta or over a couple of slices at Elizabeth's on Lawndale. My visit the other night was after 3 weeks in Israel and Dubai. I had tried to get my fix of marinara when I landed in Atlanta on July 4th but the food court was so overrun with customers that the only Italian place they had was a pizza place and they had run out of pizza. Wtf? So July 5th it was off to Elizabeth's for my favorite of chicken parmesan and spaghetti, salad with blue cheese dressing and Italian bread. As usual, the order was taken quickly, prepared efficiently and correctly, and within 15 minutes I was on my way home with my favorite meal . It took 86 seconds to get into my robe, PJ.s and flip flops and pour myself a big glass of diet coke with ice. As huge as the portion was, I just kept loosening the notch on my pajamas until every strand of spaghetti went down my belly. So good! Not every Elizabeth's is alike just like not every McDonald's or Macy's is the same. But I always have enjoyed my meals at the one on Lawndale whether I dine inside or do take out. I've also enjoyed their meals like clams with spaghetti and their Eggplant Parmesan. A good rating for its longevity, moderate price, hearty portion and being there for me when the marinara craving is more than I can stand!

    Cheesesteak

I ordered a Cheesesteak. They give you the option of an 8" or a 12". I recommend the 12" because you'll have a good sized left over for later. I ordered mine as it is, with everything on it and the side of chips. You can substitute the side of chips for an extra fee and you can ask them to remove any toppings you may not like. The toast the bread the cheesesteak comes on. The cheesesteak was great and I recommend any one ordering.

What a wonderful warm lunch on a cold Sunday! Service was good and kind. I ordered the smoked chicken ravioli with a side Caesar salad. The salad was delish! I was disappointed it wasn't already tossed but that's okay. The croutons tasted homemade - so toasty and flavorful. The ravioli had the smoked chicken, roasted tomatoes, mushroom and the ravioli of course tossed in a pink sauce. Absolutely wonderful. And it's a hearty portion! I ate about half of it. Excellent experience over all.

    Grease

Absolutely disgusting. We ordered meat lovers . The only way to describe it was it appeared someone ate it and threw it back up. Sopping in grease, the crust was wet. We left and had to go get another meal . Save your money and stay away. Little Caesars is better quality than that mess . My son said school lunch was better . The waitress said yeah it doesn't look good well no . I said would you eat this? She said no. We never complain but she ask how it was so I told her .

    Elizabeth's - 14" SPECIAL PIZZA

The 5 of us came for some pizza. We ordered the 14 inch Elizabeth's special. 6 big slices topped with onions, sausage, green peppers, & mushrooms. Even though it was slightly too salty for my taste, I was overall satisfied. The staff was friendly, the area was clean, and they were playing good music in the background. It's a very good family friendly restaurant.

The pizza here is awesome! New York style with great taste and good foldability! One of the best pizza places I've tried so far. It smelled so good I forgot to take a picture before we dug in to it I avoid the chain pizza places if I can so this will probably be my go to from now on! It is pricier than the chains, but the quality is much better so I can't complain too much about it.

Dining area. Well spaced and not too loud.

Had a great meal. Server was happy and knowledgeable despite being new. The bread and garlic oil served before the meal is all handmade, even the bread, outstanding. I forgot to ask for some balsamic (I was too busy enjoying that bread. Only point of mention would be add a touch of salt when you go. Otherwise perfect. We had a Sicilian pizza. Point of warning. If you are ordering this either: 1. Bring a group bigger than 2 2. Be starving. That may not even help 3. Accept defeat and enjoy the leftovers(Togo) Pizza was great, and great reheated. The meats are so fresh and flavorful. Drinks refilled regularly and Mario, the owner even stopped by our table to say hello.

    Tomato basil soup

This place is a chain and the food would be close to what you would expect. Nothing over-the-top from most of the dishes. The pizza is a pretty decent choice, but the other dishes are mostly average. Presentation of the dishes was good. Ambiance was nice. They also can support large groups, so that might be convenient. I did enjoy the service. Everyone was very attentive and nice. Of you are looking for a very nice Italian restaurant there are others in the area that quite nice. If you are looking for a good in/out restaurant with an Italian menu this would be the place.

By the time I left around 6, there were people standing and waiting to be seated. The patio was open with one couple enjoying the nice weather and relative quiet of outdoors. Embur recently relocated to Smyres Place in Greensboro and the new space feels much smaller than I expected. The design reminded me of what I imagine a modern restaurant in Peru might look like. Industrial with solid wood floors, warm finishes, and a large wine display. There are around 25 to 26 tables, mostly two tops and four tops. The largest table seats six, but they will push tables together for larger groups. While I was there, a group of more than 20 came in celebrating something and they were seated quickly without disrupting the rest of the room. The small patio has outdoor seating with about 8 tables and a they have bar area with about nine comfortable seats. The menu took me a minute to understand but I ended up liking the setup. You choose your entrée, which comes with set ingredients, and then choose your protein. Each protein has a different price, so you can control the cost of your meal somewhat. Most menu items can also be made gluten free according to the menu, and vegetarian options seem easy to do. For my appetizer, I ordered the flatbread. Perfection. Rosemary, olive oil, sea salt. Crispy outside, soft inside, and so flavorful I almost ate the whole thing before my meal was served. The server came with water right away and remain attentive but not intrusive the whole time. For my entree, I ordered the Arroz Chaufa with salmon. Arroz Chaufa literally means fried rice. At first the dish seemed a bit salty to me, but once I added the green sauce that comes with it (served on the side), everything balanced out. The green sauce has very mild heat, so if you are not a fan of spicy food, that is the one I would recommend. There is a list of sauces so I assume you can customize your entree. According to my server, the other sauces bring more heat. The salmon was excellent, well seasoned but not too much, and moist. The portion was ample. I was very hungry but I had leftovers to bring home. Service was exactly what I want when dining alone. Attentive without being intrusive. I watched Netflix while I ate and enjoyed my meal without feeling rushed or bothered. The noise level is average for a busy small restaurant. Comfortable enough to relax, but if you want to talk to someone in your group a couple of seats away, you will need your outside voice. This place feels upscale without being fussy, so expected to pay more than average, but I thought it was good value for the quality and portions. I loved this restaurant and will absolutely go back. Must order: Rosemary flatbread appetizer. Tip: Ask about sauce heat before ordering. If you do not like spicy food, start with the green sauce.

I came here to write, in short, that the food was great and the service was awful. Which is funny,…read morebecause it turns out I wrote nearly the exact opposite of that almost a year ago. Who knew a corporate chain could have such variation. On my most recent visit, we were seated immediately, but sat for around 15 minutes before anyone spoke to us at all. Right when we were about to get up and walk out, we saw the manager flag down someone, who turned out not to be our server, but got our drink orders. Interesting approach... I was surprised he would rather pull someone off their section than take our drinks himself. I guess he was too busy hovering near the host stand, watching everyone. We got our drinks very promptly after ordering, but it was a little while longer before our server came by to take our food orders. She was lovely, and very apologetic about the wait. She was clearly doing her best, but had multiple HUGE parties that ate up most of her time. I watched her run around all night. She never stopped moving, yet there were huge delays in our service, and we had several drinks-empty-out-of-bread-no-food moments. We got our appetizer around 30 minutes after arriving. While we sat idle, with no food or drink, we had plenty of time to people-watch. And we observed many other parties having similar issues to us. The table behind us, who had a different, equally busy server, had to get up and walk to the bar or host stand several times to ask for things like drink refills, napkins, etc. Mind you, our tables were literally right next to the host stand, and by extension, by the manager who hovered there the whole time. I understand that management does, obviously, involve managing. So, sometimes managers do need to supervise and coach their staff. However, part of being a leader is jumping in when needed. Which this guy clearly had no interest in doing. I can't fathom why you would ever choose to hunt down another, uninvolved staff member, to do something that would take you all of 30 seconds to do yourself. He also never actually spoke to us directly, despite clearly seeing our delays in service. A far cry from the many restaurants whose managers circle the dining room checking on every guest at least once. Oh and there was a green, hair-like object (Dyed hair? Thin plastic thread?) in my chicken. Our waitress had the dish replaced promptly, but, it really should not happen to start with. We also were served a basket of still-frozen-inside bread once. Not so fresh baked, I guess. Other than the hair and the (ice) cold bread, the food was great. I do really like the Carrabba's menu in general. However, this location continues to disappoint. I doubt I'll make the mistake of coming here a 3rd time.

In the past, I have had the lunch specials during the week which are good, filling, and a great value. Today we came by for an early Saturday dinner. My husband got the lamb chops with mashed potatoes and broccoli. I tasted it and was a little jealous that I hadn't ordered it myself. I got the pasta with filet and shrimp. I ate and ate but it didn't look like I had touched my food. The pasta was a white sauce, which sometimes is kind of one note but this was quite tasty. The steak and shrimp were both perfectly cooked. We both agree that the Caesar salad at Carrabbas is the best.
