I went to get my hair cut with MJ and I wanted a shag hair cut. I showed her the picture of what I wanted but my hair turned out completely different. I felt like she just didn't know how to do the cut or just didn't like it. She kept changing things of what I wanted as she went. I saw this place had 5 stars so I trusted the process. Again, my hair does not look like what I wanted. Shags are supposed to have shorter layers as well. I also felt like my hair was treated a little too rough while it was wet, it was tugged and pulled a lot. The whole experience was awkward. She took a really long time straightening my baby hairs? Which I never experienced before at the hair salon. The straightener got a little too close one time. She curled my hair without asking if that's what I wanted, so I looked like Shirley temple, not what I was going for. I wanted an edgier look. On top of that, it was the priciest I ever paid for a haircut. 90$ for a haircut that I didn't even like. Im a very shy person and didn't want to act like a Karen so I just paid it and left but waking up this morning I realized I really don't like it :( I would've been fine paying the amount if I had gotten what I wanted but I didn't so I'm really disappointed. read more

This salon is a scam. I wish I could give it 0/5 stars. I had an appointment with Cece scheduled at 4 pm for a quick haircut. I confirmed their hours as they were supposedly open at this time. I made an appointment through their website and was sent a confirmation email the day before. I showed up 10 minutes before my appointment and knocked on the door but no one answered. I called the salon twice but received no answer or a call back. I waited 10 minutes past my appointment time and knocked several times but was ignored. Meanwhile I can clearly hear people talking inside. I find it extremely unprofessional and inconsiderate to confirm an appointment at 4 pm but to leave a customer waiting without an answer. If you choose to close the salon earlier then why not adjust the time on your website and Google? And why allow your appointment system to set appointments that you don't even show up to? I will never come here again and will tell people to avoid this scam of a salon. Glad I dodged a bullet. read more

I have been seeing Krissy for my hair for probably close to 10 years now, but after seeing another stylist, I felt compelled to write this review. In all these years, she has never given me a bad cut or color. I have gone from long to very short and everywhere in between, and Krissy has always done a masterful job. I moved to Placerville and had a kid, which made scheduling hair appointments in Sacramento really challenging. I tried recently to have my hair cut by someone else closer to home and immediately knew it was a mistake. That same day, I scheduled an appointment with Krissy for her to fix my hair and I swear I will never see anyone else as long as she is in the hair business. I have really thick, coarse hair and have often found that stylists have a hard time getting it to lay right. Krissy has never had that problem. I have thrown some quirky styles at her, and she has always executed them beautifully. She is a true hair master. read more

They make it WAY too hard to get an appointment! I can't even speak on the quality of the hair styling because their appointment system is seriously lacking. First you can't call and make an appointment you have to request one online. Then they don't tell you for 9-1/2 hours if you get your appointment. I made/requested an appointment online around 12:00 PM today. I didn't find out until 9:30 PM at tonight that "it couldn't be accommodated." Not to mention I didn't even get a reason it couldn't be accommodated when it showed available in the system. SUPER now i'll be going on a hunt to find a salon that does want my business. Naomi is amazinnggggg!!! I've been going to Naomi for a few years and I can't praise her enough. She is so talented at one she does and she has truly honed her skills. I get regular cuts and trims by Naomi, including bangs and layers. She has also colored and lightened my hair. She did a great "sombre" job on my hair and next we are going to try balayage! Naomi is extremely professional, her prices are very reasonable, and she really goes out of her way to work with your schedule. Alright. WHERE to start. Naomi is hands down the best stylist I've had YET! I moved over to to this salon a couple of months ago and my initial appt was with Leesa the owner, she cut my long hair perfectly! I was supposed to come in for a dye job bt had to be cancelled due to a family emergency on her end. Naomi was kind enough to still get me in for a consultation so we can discuss what needed to be done to gt my hair where I wanted it! She was very patient with me and explained everything soo thoroughly! Yesterday we took the plunge and she chopped my long hair into a long A-Line!! I'm in loveeee!! She took her time, answered my 50 million Qs (at the salon and through text!) haha she is truly an amazing stylist and so knowledgable! I had the most horrible experience with Cecilia (Cece) Meadows. I showed her a picture of blonde balayage she even told me to text it to her and after spending TEN hours (my hair is shouder length) my hair looked absolutely horrible. She put a red base and dark low lights. It was the complete opposite of what I wanted. It was a few weeks before my wedding and I told her my plans of going blonde and she told me to keep up with my hair treatments and cuts so my hair is healthy. I did exactly that but she did the worse. I was in tears when I got home but I felt awkward addressing it with her because I'm very non confrontational. But because my wedding was a few weeks away and I paid her $290 I felt I had to. So, I text her and we scheduled a time to talk what came next was mind blowing. Cecilia was so unprofessional and started the conversation very confrontational and defensive. I couldn't help it I was in tears trying to reason a remedy with her. Begging her to please fix my hair. She was shouting saying I'm not fixing shit or giving you any money back. She lied and said I never told her I wanted to go blonde, I told her that was untrue I even sent her the picture of what I wanted. Then she changed her story to "that would have taken me 12 hours to get that blonde. We were there for 10 hours and there was no mention of a follow up to get my lighter. I ended up having to go elsewhere and pay 260 to have them fix her horrible work and pull the red. Please be cautious if you decide to get your hair done from cece. She definitely needs to take some classes to learn the color wheel again. Not too mention the uncomfortable touchiness. She kept offering to rub my neck while I processed. She talks very inappropriate about sex. She kept me there until after 2AM. We were the only ones there and I felt a little uneasy. read more

What can I say about Naomi? I will never have my haircut cut by any other stylist, ever! I have followed her from Lush over to the Hair Garage and now over to Elle. I never tell her what I want, I always just let her do her thing and after eight years I have never once been disappointed with her work. After straying once (due to scheduling on my end) I came running back to her for a quick fix after some other chick let me walk out of her salon with lightened/orange roots (I usually do a dark base to blend into my dark brown hair).
