I have been coming here for over 10 years and this is one of my favorite spots to go get my nails…read moredone. The pedicure service is really great and I always get the tropical one which comes with fresh fruit also they do have a gel mask for your legs and did you a hot stone and I love the wax on your foot as well. I really like coming here for the service they actually treat you like you are family and they are very patient and always take care of my ingrown nails. I also like the parking here which is really easy to get in and out and also I can also take the bus which is very accessible. If you are in the West Sac area this is a spot to not be missed for any pedicure and manicures. The vibe is always very hole in the wall and Hidden Gem. Hope this review is help and thank you for reading and have a yeptastic day.

WHY I WENT HERE: - pedicure…read more - try a new salon THE LOOK (FROM THE OUTSIDE): - located in a plaza off Harbor Blvd and W Capitol Ave - located in the same plaza as Grocery Outlet THE LOOK (FROM THE INSIDE): - like a lot of nail salons, one side has the pedicure massage chair stations set up, the opposite wall is where the manicure stations are, front has limited seating for customers to wait at, back is where the waxing room and restroom are located THE MENU: - nails - waxing - manicure - little diva - add on - pedicure - royal treatment pedicure - Harbor Nailspa Pedicure CUSTOMER SERVICE: - initially reached out online via Yelp - ended up calling for a walk-in appointment - upon arrival I was greeted warmly and taken to the pedicure station promptly - the color selection I was provided was a bit on the smaller side, but I saw there were tons of color options to select from, they were just hanging on the wall by the manicure station - it was a relaxing experience; it didn't feel rushed at all and the massage was at a good pressure for me - I really enjoyed the interaction all the workers had with customers as they came in; wasn't rushed at all, but really warm greetings for everyone

I've always noticed that Asian-owned nail salons often treat you as though something is wrong with…read moreyou, or like you're being a "Karen," whenever you point out that they made a mistake. Unfortunately, I just left this establishment after having a horrible experience. I have fungus on two of my toenails, and if a nail technician isn't experienced in treating this type of nail, it's almost impossible for them to make it look normal. The young lady who started working on my toes seemed completely lost. I actually had to coach her on how to file the nail properly and remove the subungual debris. I politely asked if I could have a nail technician who was more experienced with this type of issue. She was replaced by Lena, who apparently has 20 years of experience. Lena sanded my toenail so aggressively that a piece of it broke off. If you know anything about this type of nail, you know there's a certain technique required, or this can happen. She then had to repair it with acrylic powder. Once she finished, it actually looked perfect. Unfortunately, she then began cutting my cuticles, even though they had already been trimmed by the first technician. She removed so much that the skin became raw and started burning. I was in so much pain from the burning! When she started painting one of my nails, I politely asked if I could get up because I was no longer willing to continue with the service. I asked to speak with a manager or owner so I could confirm that I would not be charged for the services I had received. They told me that the male technician who was working on another customer's feet was the manager. I explained the entire situation to him, even though he should have already known what happened because he was sitting directly across from me the entire time. As expected, he had the typical expression of someone who couldn't care less. He simply told me to go explain everything again to the woman at the register. I told him I had already explained the entire situation to him and that I wasn't going to repeat myself. If she needed to know what happened, he could explain it to her. He spoke to her in another language and told her what had happened. She asked me to write down my name and phone number, then wanted to confirm that I didn't want to pay because of the burning. I told her it wasn't just about the burning and tried to explain everything that had happened, but she immediately cut me off. She showed absolutely no compassion. I calmly explained that when a customer is unhappy with a service and is speaking respectfully, repeatedly interrupting them only makes the situation worse. Eventually, anyone would become frustrated. I said all of this in a calm, respectful tone because I believe that when you try to educate someone without being confrontational, they're much more likely to actually hear what you're saying. As I was speaking, she continued interrupting me. Then someone from the back yelled that I needed to leave. I assumed it was someone from management--or at least an employee. It wasn't. It was another customer. The staff stood there and allowed this woman to yell at me and tell me to get out. Once again, I calmly explained that I was a customer who was in pain and that, despite everything, I was still speaking respectfully to the employee. She had absolutely no reason to involve herself. It was obvious she was trying to provoke me into arguing with her. She kept repeating, "You need to get out of here," over and over again. Of course, no manager or supervisor stepped in to say a word to her. She happened to be a Vietnamese woman who had two technicians working on her, so for all I know, she may have even been the owner. Sadly, a lot of people today don't realize that these aren't the old days. People have been attacked over far less, and intentionally provoking someone can be dangerous. Fortunately for them, I'm Gen X and much more mature than I used to be. Years ago, this situation could have ended very differently.

Updating from 3 to 4 stars- Since my review yesterday,…read morecommunication with management has been timely and professional. While the manager explained that the nail tech is newer staff, she was also apologetic for the quality of service I received. I feel that she was receptive of my feedback and heard my concerns regarding the nail shape and polish. As I mentioned, this salon seems to have a solid base of regulars. Hopefully newer staff can receive more training so that the quality is consistent and this local small business can continue to serve the neighborhood! --- My friend and I went for pedicures this afternoon. It was busy and we were walk-ins so, understandably, there was a wait. There seemed to be a good amount of regular customers, which was encouraging. My nail tech was nice and seemed to take his time despite how busy it was. Unfortunately, I'm disappointed by the quality of the pedicure. The polish is uneven both in its coverage and texture. Some nails aren't painted fully, even after I pointed them out and he went back to touch them up. Because of multiple coats (he did 2 coats of polish, top coat then more touch up polish then top coat again), the color is uneven and some are bumpy. The paint left around my cuticles is easily visible too. I wouldn't mind as much if these issues were on one, maybe two, toenails but it's on multiple and the pedicure looks messy overall. I was hoping this might be my go-to local nail spot but I'm disappointed by my pedicure experience.

They are clean, even, and super flattering, and the finish is next level. The pink shimmer has this gorgeous, almost iridescent glow that catches the light so beautifully without looking over-the-top. What really stood out was the attention to detail. Each nail looks consistent and smooth, with no bulkiness at all. It's just a sleek, natural feel that's exactly what you want with hard gel. They feel strong and durable, but still lightweight and comfortable. You can tell real care went into the prep and application because they look flawless up close. I've already gotten so many compliments, and they still look fresh days later. If you're thinking about hard gel, this is the place to go, they absolutely nailed it. (No pun intended).
