Getting the jalapeño on the side was also a great addition in hindsight. No charge for that and they grilled it to take down the heat a bit. What else do you want from a little place like this? If they used a Lipton French soup mix for the au jus then that would explain the salt. That didn't work. They genuinely wanted customers to be satisfied and that is appreciated. If I were running a small place, I would want honest feedback so that is what I give. Those cinnamon buns behind the glass have my name on them and I am going to swing back and get one of those babies soon. We will be back to try the breakfast offerings as well. Not snobby just like what I like. The service staff has always been friendly and pleasant. Bartender is a doll and you can tell the back of the house works very hard to make your experience worth it! I haven't been to a restaurant multiple times and not experienced a problem. I've been here many times now and yes had a problem. That being said they fixed it immediately to my satisfaction and like every meal I've had so far thoroughly enjoyed my experience. Foot quality is top notch especially for an area that struggles with a meat and potato crowd. I've had half the menu by now and have found a dish I don't like but not because it was bad, I'm just not into it... and that's ok. I can't recommend them enough, good food and cocktails, weak on wine but that's not their jam, nor is it anyone else's in GP. You want a wine menu head to Springfield or Portland. The owners are actively involved in running the restaurant and are genuinely engaged with their patrons, which you can really feel. It adds such a welcoming, personal touch. Their cocktails are some of the best in town, and I love that they offer daily specials so there's always something new to try. It's not your typical "meat and potatoes" kind of place, which is refreshing--but if you're craving something hearty, they do have steak frites that absolutely hits the spot.
